    Simply stunning, Double Fine has done an incredible job in bringing this beloved game back to life. The humour is brilliant and very mature but it will go directly over the little ones heads.

    What a masterpiece. Great story, great gameplay, great graphics and wonderful music and sounds. Congratulations for the great work! It's definitely a must play, and I dont see anyone being even near to it as goty candidate.

    Great game, with a lot of amusingly weird levels (the "sixties one" comes to mind, as well as the "theme park ride"), and also a great soundtrack to accompany it all.
    Only minor negative I could mention is that towards to end it begins to get a little bit repetitive, but that is just about it.

    What a game! I kept seeing this game being mentioned online so i downloaded it off gamepass to try out. Am I ever glad I did. The game is amazing, It really should be a "must-play" here on metacritic.

    It keeps getting better the further you get. The world design is so creative and unique. The levels where you go inside other peoples brains are so fun, cool, and interesting.     A soul's game this is not. A little on the easy side for me but it is still incredibly fun. The story is hilarious and keeps you interested and there are enough mechanics/collectibles that ensure you are invested until the end.

    Didn't think I would feel this game it didn't really appeal to me but once I started playing it I couldn't stop this game is really a master piece it's written Soo well I have to say it's amazing without giving the game away and the visuals are better than I thought a must play imo

    Omg this game is gem I've been needing. I love platforming games like this. It's definitely an upgrade and plays perfectly on the series x. The puzzles, the problem solving and the funny refreshing are also a key factor of why this game is awesome.

    This game should have been the GOTY. Its gameplay is so smooth and responsive, the art style is amongst the best of all time, its characters are iconic and memorable, and the levels are clearly made with passion. This game's storyline is one of the best I've ever seen in any medium.

    i hate indie games and everything which looks like indie but this game is awesome, exactly my kind of humor. i am glad that i tried this one thanks to the game pass, the jump n run passages are awesome, story is awesome, the way everything is explained is awesome. each character is awesome. i am glad that i tried it, def a awesome game :)

    Un juego brutalmente divertido que recuerda mucho a esos años de plataformeo. Me parece muy triste que usuarios de otras plataformas valoren a otros juegos con un 0. Se nota que se han gastado 500€ en una caja blanca cubierta de polvo hasta febrero de 2022. Y encima juegos a 80€, se puede caer más bajo?.

    Awesome game! The writing is hilarious and Tim Schafer remains a creative genius, with amazing art design and aesthetic. The game can feel occasionally "low budget" in its transitions and cutscenes, and combat is sometimes frustrating, but overall, Psychonauts 2 is by far the best platformer on Xbox.

If you look for a game with the best graphics this will not be your game but if you like the artstyle of this game than you will still constantly say this game looks beautifull just the way it    Psychonauts 2 is a one of a kind game.

    The story of the game is amazing. it amused me the whole game through with constantly giving me new information and a lot of OOOHHH moments. While I havent played the first game it wasn't hard to get into and I felt invested really quickly. Im not going further into the story because its mostly why you should play this game.

    gameplay on the other hand was a bit boring. While the game is not really heavy focussed on combat or platforming it is okay as you can see the devs putted everything in the artstyle and story which hold this game up perfectly in my opinion. What I liked the most of the gameplay was actually the fact that there is no waypoint. Instead of a waypoint the main character often says where he should go to and you have to memorize where that person or location is. This makes you as the player constantly invested in what is told. Meanwhile if you forgot where to go to or the location where someone is you can also open your menu (a textbook) to read where to go. While this may sounds old and lazy this is in my opinion a lot more fun than just go to point A with a waypoint.

    So why should you play this game? You should play this game if you like the artstyle and want to go on a trip to bizarre worlds with a good story attached to it. if you look for gameplay you should look for somewhere else as psychonauts 2 has not lot to offer in that regard and that is fine.

    Why an 8 out of 10? because the game is good and a masterpiece in its own way but not yet a 9 or a 10 as the gameplay does fall behind from other platformers like to say mario. But this game is for sure a must play and especially a must play from gamepass.    … Expand

    Also the writing is top tier which is what you can expect from a tim schafer game from likeable characters, cleaver dialogue, well animated cutscenes and humor, but the biggest surprise for me was how the game tackles mental health and empathy which is kind off incredible to see in a game like this especially in a genre that isnt known for story telling.

    People have been waiting for Psychonauts 2 for 16 years and its almost impossible for it to live up to the expectations but the end product not only exceeds these expectations but even defies it in the best way possible.    … Expand

    Años si probar un juego plataformero que me diera la sensación que me ha dejado psychonauts 2. Una creatividad en los escenarios, una historia con un humor crudo y gameplays que sorprende. Cada mundo es diferente, para mí debería ser goty o estar en el listado.

    Juegazo!!. Al principio parece poca cosa, pero cuando te pones a jugar engancha y ya no quieres soltar el mando. Hay momentos donde no es apto para niños, ya que su historia es muchas veces un poco macabra. Juegalo si o sí, es una maravilla.

    I'm absolutely invested in the world of the psychonauts. From the start the waste no time getting you interested in the game and what they do works flawlessly. From the mystery of Maligula to the story behind Raz everything about the game is just amazing. The art style is one of the reasons this game is Soo unique. And so is the cast of characters and gameplay.

    one of the best game released this year best thing about this game is writing it bar to none and is best from recent years releases every boss is unique and combat feels is above average but this game is platformer and that is what you get .

    I’ve only just completed the Dentist Level but I’m completely blown away with the level design and the depth to all the enemies…. Even with the ‘emotional baggage’. This needs to be a GOTY contender!! This game doesn’t need haptics or adaptive triggers and it’s not locked behind a console pay wall. The accessibility of this game is for everyone…… and everyone should play it. I also read some of the reviews criticising the old school level design….. and that’s what I’m enjoying the most. Some of the greatest platform games are basic in their design but are some of the best games ever made. I’m playing this on XSX and Game Pass but I will be supporting the studio when I buy the physical PS4 version. I’m amazed that a small independent studio with a budget of 3 million are achieving gameplay mechanics that some people say can only be done on the fastest SSDs…..     this quirky game is very cool. Combat is simple but challenging, story is interesting an funny, mental worlds are creative and mysterious, a lot of different characters and activities. I like to use clarvoyance on regular npcs and laugh at what they see. It gives me some vibes from older Harry Potter games, but better.

    Grandísimo juego, los gráficos cartoon no me encantan pero se ve genial. Muy divertido, los diálogos me han parecido lo mejor y gameplay muy fluido. Merece la pena un mes de game pass aunque sea para probar este juego.

    THIS! This game is SO MUCH FUN!
    I didn't even realize that I can back to my childhood, the times when Mario, Crash and other platformers were popular. With this game, I came back to my precious nostalgic memories... THANK YOU, DOUBLE FINE!!!

    Psychonauts 2 stays true to its roots from the original that came out 15 years ago. The writing still has the same whit that Double Fine is known for and the platforming is creative and mesmerizing. I think the combat was a bit lackluster after a while due to there not being many creative ways fights are utilized, but this game makes up for it with some gorgeous animation. Each level feelsPsychonauts 2 stays true to its roots from the original that came out 15 years ago.     Simplesmente uma obra prima. Obra Prima! Double Fine fez um trabalho maravilohoso. Direção de arte ma-ra-vi-lho-sa! História com conteúdo, personagens carismáticos, gameplay fantástica. Só o fino do fino. Agradeço aos devs e a divisão xbox por proporcionar tanto.

    Psychonauts 2 managed to restore my faith in the genre of 3D platformers. This is a creative volcano spewing ideas left and right - it can make you laugh, it can make you cry, it can make you think. And it will definitely make you have fun.

    Psychonauts 1 is the perfect example of the term cult classic, and Psychonauts 2 has created another masterpiece that I am only assuming won’t receive the attention it deserves. They have perfected and expanded on their original idea in every way and created a world full of heart and fun. It’s been well documented that the last few years it took to bake were used to expand the boss battles, and finely polish the areas that were complete. It’s clear that the added funds from being a Microsoft studio were put to good use and the team at Double Fine should be very proud of what they have created. I cannot wait to see what they create next.
