    If you want to throw a bike around some time trial tracks for a little bit, by all means crack on, but if you try to do anything else in MX vs ATV Legends, you're going to be met with a host of issues.

    A lack of meaningful customization, slippery and borderline broken controls based on which vehicle you want to race, and PowerPoint slide deck animations was a constant disappointment and frustration. Yes there are three full Career Modes to sink time into and track designs were quite good with varying elevations and layouts, but the myriad of issues makes MX vs ATV Legends a low point for the series, even at its normally reasonable $40 CAD asking price. I normally wouldn’t recommend getting an older game in a series, but when MX vs ATV Reflex from 2009 is still the best in the series, that speaks volumes.

    + Open maps are a breath of fresh air with a huge variety of tracks and things to do. Graphically gorgeous with fantastic lighting,    Positives
    + Open maps are a breath of fresh air with a huge variety of tracks and things to do. Graphically gorgeous with fantastic lighting, environments and sharp clean on track detail. Good dirt deformation that effect the bikes movement and performance. Just a blast to play with huge air physics especially when hitting a big jump. First person cam is amazing and has a great sense of speed at 60fps.
    Negatives
    - Controls are a bit wonky and take time to get used too. Sense of speed is to slow except in first person camera. Pop in is noticeable but better on the newer consoles. AI riders are either too slow or too fast leading to some boring racing. Grounded physics are all over the place never giving you 100% control. Dirt formation is good but Inconsistent map to map track to tracks. Game overall needed some more time in the oven but is the most fun ive had in a mx game in years.    … Full Review »
