Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a fun racing simulator that is a fine entry point for new players. The tracks are gorgeous, the sound is fantastic, and improving in this game feels so good.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a solid technical proposition and a notable evolution in terms of graphics and physics simulation compared to its predecessors. The game stands out for its meticulous design of stages and bikes, and for an optimization that, for the most part, guarantees good playability on both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. One of its drawbacks is undoubtedly the steep learning curve and the repetitive nature of certain race modes, aspects that could discourage audiences less accustomed to this type of simulator. Despite these limitations, for supercross fans and racing simulator enthusiasts, the title offers a realistic and detailed representation of the sport, consolidating its position as an attractive option on the new generation of consoles.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 has some nice shiny new mechanics. However, evolution is limited and this will frustrate franchise fans. Yet, if you are new to the game, you will adore the stunning graphics, deep career, and interesting racing gameplay.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 makes quite the noticeable upgrade to this franchise, as the switch to Unreal Engine 5 gives us better looks, better physics, with even various AI and customization improvements that turn this year’s game the best one in the series yet. With the 2025 roster already in place and various promised new content updates throughout the year, AMA Supercross fans should have their hands full – albeit newcomers might still find this peculiar racing style and some of the jank a bit tough to swallow.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 is a terrible name for such a finely crafted game. This is for the hardcore fans of the sport and Milestone has gone the extra mile to make sure all the realism is intact. They could have done more to ease in casual players, but everything else is fantastic. The new engine levels up the visuals and the customization is very appreciated. You just have to know what you are getting into before diving in. This game takes commitment and practice to fully enjoy it. Once you get past that though, it is one of the best in the genre.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 offers a refined gameplay, strong of a new bike physics management and dynamicity of the tracks, succeeding in always giving us exciting and fun races. It unfortunately stumbles on a technical realization that leaves a bit of a sour taste and a certain lack of willingness to dare, but it still remains an excellent Supercross game.

I probably had too high hopes for the Monster Energy Supercross series' return. It feels like it could have improved even more than it was, but regardless, what we get is a motocross experience that is simply as good as it was before.

Without matching the quality and grandeur of other motorsport titles, Milestone has nevertheless made progress with Monster Energy Supercross 25. The game continues in the direction taken with the sixth episode, with improved AI, a physics engine enriched with Evolving Ruts technology, advanced graphics and a meticulous reproduction of the 2025 season of the star-spangled championship. However, Career struggles to make its mark, while the other modes have received only marginal refinements. The expected leap in quality of the series is, once again, postponed.

Monster Energy Supercross 25 may not align with the mainstream motocross licenses, but it delivers a distinct and engaging experience. Riding on two wheels through evolving tracks of mud and dirt presents a thrilling challenge. While it doesn't stand out technically, its diverse game modes and creative tools make it a haven for motocross fans from across the globe.

Monster Energy Supercross 25: The Official Videogame might be a good game for you if you can learn its controls. For new people, I don’t recommend this game at all. New players should just stick with the last installment since it’s actually friendly to new players and you can learn as you go. Supercross 25 seems to think that you learn its new feel instantly or are willing to spend hours learning it. If you’re patient, you might like the game, but it’s definitely not for everyone. The graphics have improved, but that is about the only area where I see improvement with this installment.

Monster Energy Supercross 25: The Official Video Game is specifically for the hardcore motocross fanatic. Those fans will love things like the ability to play a current season of the sport and the presence of tangible track deformation. For everyone else, this is a difficult game to recommend. From the high difficulty level and steep learning curve to the bare-bones campaign, there's not enough to entice interested players to give this a try. At this rate, your best bet is to wait and see if this game or older entries in the series will reach Game Pass, so you can see if you can gel with this title.

Having taken a year off and changing its name, I was hoping Monster Energy Supercross 25 was going to be a drastic improvement. Sure it’s better in some aspects with the new engine, but it just feels like the same game once again. If I didn’t know what year of the game I was playing, I wouldn’t be able to tell you without looking. If you’ve skipped the last game or two, then it’s a worthwhile upgrade, as well if you’re a superfan of the sport, but for casual fans or those that buy it every year, it just feels like another lap.
