    May i say omg next gen is where its at ok like wow im so love the homefield advantage you have to try i never seen q football game implement something so sensual like no bs try it its a beast feature and the moving feels better a lil wierd but you'll get use to it madden really stepped up with this one played both versions and they are both great but next generation is beautiful

    It's better than Madden 21 and while there are improvements in Franchise Mode, I feel like there could be more. And they made improvements to the gameplay. However, I honestly don't like the new home field advantage and the return of X- Factors. But overall, Madden NFL 22 is a very solid game.

    i had madden 20 now i got madden 22 i will say its better but on some franchise games the end score will be 31 to 20 but when i go back to the main section wt swithes it to 31 to 0 and all stats are gone. if they can fix that it would be great.

    Yet another copy/paste cash grab from EA. Madden somehow broke franchise even more than last year. Games you win end up as losses. Players you trade still appear on your team. Face of the Franchise is still broken and the game is a buggy mess. EA promised progress and a next gen version, when this game is no different from Madden 21, with FIFA and NHL resources copied and pasted in.

    Google this name "Ian Cummings"..
    He was the lead developer for EA/Tiburon during the Golden Era of Madden all the way until EA bounced him for wanting franchise to have impact.. ~This years Next Gen is NOT the same quality we got when we went from PS1~to~PS2.. it's more in-line with Xbxo360 to XboxOne & ps3~to~PS4.. I would feel    I honestly don't know what to say anymore about EA..

    I don't know the numbers i do know the populairty and todays lack of and how epic it was back n the day.
    And even then it was stale. But atleast we had a free in-game card game to play with in-game coins..
    ***The biggest joke is the cards in MUT don't carry over.. this confuses me why players vcalue it at
    all...
    Thank god i was able to play this for free for 5 hours..
    Yet Again year after year im forced to go back to older Maddens.
    NHL is messy too but 100X's better then Madden. and this was the exact opposite back n day..
    And im barley into hockey....

    You can tell that no work was put into this. No substantial changes from last year, no bugs fixed. EA is the absolute worst. STOP BUYING THIS AND GIVING THEM MONEY.

    I’m ashamed to admit I actually paid $70 for this game. I’m happy to say Xbox gave me a full refund. EA has completely lost its average player. Unfortunately they make so much money off MUT players nothing else matters. As long as they make cool cards and pack animations these addicts will never stop throwing their money away at it.     You know how someone buys a wreck of a house, gives it a lick of paint and sells it on for a new house price?

    Same deal here. New scoreboards and menu interface etc but the game is IDENTICAL.

    ABSOLUTE CRAP.

    I used to be a diehard madden fan from 07-17. The game has somehow gotten even worse from when I stopped playing. It’s so sad. I would play everyday if madden even put out a half decent game.

    Bad AI. Boring gameplay. Less control of offensive and defensive audibles than when this franchise used to be good. Next to no custom options for Franchise mode. Repetitive and tired commentary. I mean it's nice if you wanted to play FIFA instead of picking up the fumbled football to take it to the house for a TD. There's also the new untackleable player glitch.     This has been a major disappointment. NEXT Gen in the second year is pretty bad for a 70-100 dollar product. Nothing is working so just do what WWE 2k did rebuild this thing and make it right. All Franchise games are way ahead of their debacle

    Gameplay is near unplayable. Play arts don't load, zone coverage is unusable as cpu controlled guys don't move from the spot they're in at all, run game is useless unless you have an x factor rb, inputs are delayed in the passing game so accidental pump fakes are frequent. Game is generally trash.

    It is sad where the state of this franchise is. The NFL needs to re-evaluate this deal. Year after year they make this game worse by adding gimmicks that don't even work. Focus on the base game first, it is so bad. The core game is in such a bad state with canned animations and poor A.I. logic

    The graphics are beautiful on next gen. Gameplay is slightly better. I’m afraid this is the best EA can do with this engine. It’s always going to be buggy no matter how nice it looks and what they implement. New interface looks decent and some improvement to franchise.     I love football.. I love video games.. But I don't have any fun at all playing a football video game. This is the ONLY NFL football simulation that is up to date every year with new players, models, etc.
    Unfortunately that's where the "new" stuff ends.. Everything else in this game is entirely too bad to be considered a good time (by yourself).

    I don't always come here to write a review for a game, but when you end the day playing video games truly depressed because you're forced to play this atrocity when you want to play a football simulation with your favorite teams then I have no choice but to document my terrible experience.

    If you read this far then you could feel the same as me, and you're also sad that this game somehow gets worse every year. I am about to go to bed, and wake up, and act like the game will be better the next day, but I've been living that lie for years and I just want it to change.

    A new year another copy and paste. I tried real hard to like this game but there is no real game play once again. Just more micro transactions and yard crap I could care less about. I'd me happy to just play the online versus mode for 10 bucks.

    Madden 22 is the next year’s instalment on the franchise and I feel it’s gone back a step. Yes, it looks graphically better, but otherwise it’s really not that much different to previous instalments. The career mode is a roll-forward from previous years, as are the achievements. EA could do so much more with the Madden franchise and it’s a shame they haven’t executed it as well as I’d hope.

    For those who have not played Madden NFL for a few years, the new episode may be the right opportunity to start over. The Franchise mode has been rearranged and the direction taken seems to be the right one, while the gameplay, waiting for the adjustments in the secondary, is appreciated for a renewed physics in the inertia of the players' movements and for an AI that in more than one opportunity surprised us positively. The magic of the new generation has been little seen for now: Madden NFL 22 is still a good game to watch even if it was legitimate to expect something more. In general, our advice is to wait for EA Tiburon to fix bugs and glitches: time is up and the season has just started.
