    This has to be the worse game of all time. It’s time madden stops taking our money for a new roster each year. That’s really all we buy it for because we always expect the same trash of a game with pay to win MUT mode. Franchise mode is terrible as always. The game is broken. No skill or football knowledge needed whatsoever. TRASH. Save your money and DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

    I’m giving this game Zero, and for me it’s still because the game is inherently broken and has to many flaws for the very few positives to matter. It’s entirely dependent on animations and lacks user skill, the Zones are completely broken once again this game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, so #rebuildmaddengame.

    Couldn't be more disappointed with the next gen gameplay. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse last year a repackage of the same game with a $60 price tag. This more of a title update then a new game. Been playing madden since 2003 and this will be the first year I don't buy the game.

    Gameplay is literally untouched once again. The game's AI is so broken that every single play someone is doing something that would get them cut from an NFL team irl. This game is just a roster update and more false promises.

    The game has not evolved since 2013 and keeps getting WORSE. How they constantly get worse every year I will never know. Maybe one day they will get competition and start putting out higher quality games, one can hope...

    Madden continues to decline if you have any other madden its not worth updating. EA can release trash and it will be bought they know this so why improve. Not enough was done since the dumpster fire from last year. EA time to start from scratch and reward your long time fans.

    This game is f*cking awful.. Receiver catching is broken as hell, receivers will drop wide open passes that hit their hands. QBs still can’t effectively pass lead the ball. Defensive pursuit and tackling is atrocious, I’m seeing the same animations as last year where ball carriers will literally run up within an inch of a defender and somehow run right by them while the defender justThis game is f*cking awful..     Comparing Madden 22 to 21 shouldn't be the way this game is scored as it's a replication of multiple years of bad development. Just like last year, this game is an absolute joke of a simulation game. Stop comparing this game to last year and compare it to games outside of the sports genre, compare it to 2K5 or even compare it to Madden 05. Look at the release of this game this year alone.. the bugs in Face of the Franchise, the bugs with the EA Play hours disappearing, the issues with defensive coverage or player movement, consumers of the game getting banned because they ranked up to fast or exploited a training glitch bug in Madden that is completely on EA themselves!

    How do people get excited about Madden's most popular mode, Ultimate Team, when the only differences are visual? How do you get excited about an 87 Tyreek Hill card that was just 99 OVR a month ago? Do the "new" solo challenges feel fresh or do you enjoy playing buggy head-to-head games over and over and over?! Do you enjoy the other team disappearing from the screen or kicking an inactive ball around because neither team can pick it up? Then this is the game for you!

    People who believe this is a good game never played a good game. The standards we hold EA to as a football community are embarrassing when you see all of the refunds being offered for games like CyberPunk and Fallout 76. This game isn't good ... its a recycled version of Madden 19 (if not earlier). If last years game was the worst rated game of all time, what is stopping this game from replicating it in the grand scheme of things?!    … Expand

I’ll admit gameplay is making strides to being good again, but this game is still riddled with predetermined animations that have nothing to do with skill. X factors are back and as cheesy as always. Where is Create A Stadium? Why are the coordinators not licensed like older maddens? Why is the presentation of this game still horrible? Literally winning a Super Bowl in this game feels like you’ve won NOTHING! The commentating is awful and I’m hearing the same lines from madden 18, LITERALLY. Face of the franchise is so boring I put it down after 3 hours. NBA 2K makes this game look like a joke despite their flaws. Besides a few minor tweaks that could be in a madden 21 update, this game is a glorified patch. Nothing more, nothing less.… Expand

    It's better than Madden 21 and while there are improvements in Franchise Mode, I feel like there could be more. And they made improvements to the gameplay. However, I honestly don't like the new home field advantage and the return of X- Factors. But overall, Madden NFL 22 is a very solid game.

    Madden 22 is the next year’s instalment on the franchise and I feel it’s gone back a step. Yes, it looks graphically better, but otherwise it’s really not that much different to previous instalments. The career mode is a roll-forward from previous years, as are the achievements. EA could do so much more with the Madden franchise and it’s a shame they haven’t executed it as well as I’d hope.

    For those who have not played Madden NFL for a few years, the new episode may be the right opportunity to start over. The Franchise mode has been rearranged and the direction taken seems to be the right one, while the gameplay, waiting for the adjustments in the secondary, is appreciated for a renewed physics in the inertia of the players' movements and for an AI that in more than one opportunity surprised us positively. The magic of the new generation has been little seen for now: Madden NFL 22 is still a good game to watch even if it was legitimate to expect something more. In general, our advice is to wait for EA Tiburon to fix bugs and glitches: time is up and the season has just started.
