    Lazy effort by EA, 10 plus year old animations and hollow gameplay. With no immersion in hollow boring stadiums every game feels exactly the same. EA has taken the NFL license and has made a **** sandwich and is forcing us to eat it. I don’t understand how billion dollar company can get away with absolutely crapping on its fans and community.     Awful gameplay 4 months after release, menus still incredibly slow, none of what was promised to us by EA has been fulfilled (especially updates to franchise mode). Somehow next gen is playing EVEN WORSE than current gen if that is even possible. Insane how this game doesn’t receive the same backlash that cyberpunk has.

    Madden 21 is terrible. In my very first game, my kicking meter disappeared in the first quarter and never came back, making accurate kicking pretty much impossible. Constant unfair penalties. Really bad first impression. “Face of the Franchise” story mode is really lame and boring. The game also beats you over the head with racial wokeness. Football is supposed to be fun, not some kind ofMadden 21 is terrible.     really people. you guys are ungrateful. I know that it is not as good as 2k but it is still a great game. I am not a fanboy of ea and I thought that madden 19 and 20 were some of the worst games of all time but I actually have fun playing this game

    A worse version of Madden than the one that's already out on current generation systems. Don't believe the one person that has given this game a good review. They work for EA and try to hype up the game. Instead, go to Ryan Moody's channel on YouTube and watch the horrible game play clips from this game. It will save you time and money.

    I have to say I was impressed with the upgrades from the Next Gen. Still feel like there should be more. I am excited to say that I want to see the long term option. This is a start however. I can't wait to see the future ahead.

    Big step in the right direction. Long time hater of EA, dare I say it, starting to play more like 2K used to. Not saying it's 2k...but finally the player movement is more realistic, speed is not the only stat that matters, don't expect to throw in that 50-60 rated 4th string guy and run for 200 yards. Defense requires strategy, something missing from madden for a long time. If you thinkBig step in the right direction. Long time hater of EA, dare I say it, starting to play more like 2K used to. Not saying it's 2k...but finally the player movement is more realistic, speed is not the only stat that matters, don't expect to throw in that 50-60 rated 4th string guy and run for 200 yards. Defense requires strategy, something missing from madden for a long time. If you think you can just press and call cover 3/4/9 etc.. and cover the run and pass effectively think again. You now have to play chess, commit to stopping run or pass...not both. As for the next gen additions in presentation/graphics, it's a small improvement over the xbox and ps4 version, the graphics are already very good, so not sure how much of an improvement we can really get there. The stadiums look good, the sun and shadows look great in all the stadiums. Weather is basically a non-factor, so that's an area that could be improved on. Overall I think it's moving in the right direction and am actually really enjoying the game, much better than the current xbox and ps4 versions in my opinion.     Big improvements from the previous maddens. Graphics and lighting looks great. Plenty of room for improvements but people rating this a 0 are crazy.

    The game definitely looks better and player movement is more realistic, but it's basically a remastered version of Madden 21 on current gen. Compared to what 2k was able to do with their next gen upgrade, it is very poor. The Next Gen stats feature is very minor and isn't implemented in Franchise mode atall, and there is no new features in any of the game modes.

    Unfinished broken game that does not accurately depict football. The kick off was removed due to a glitch. So it’s no refs, no kickoffs, and college OT rules. Scripted animations control everything. In the only NFL game in year 2020-2021.

    Worst madden version in a decade. If it not broken don’t fix it. Spent 2 timeouts to unlock then win a challenge. Game glitchy. Spam OP glitch plays prevalent. horrible, does not reward player for correct play calls and reads. does opposite.

    The game is below average, its not smooth, its unrealistic, and franchise still sucks, they add 1 gamemode every year instead of fixing the abhorrent issues that plague it. The developers have no passion, the game lacks simple details they had in Maddens made a decade ago. It might not be a one or a zero but EA deserves a terrible rating for how little they've added,

    Absolut keine guten/großen Veränderungen.
    Das Gameplay ist auch auf der Series X miserabel. Am SCHLIMMSTEN waren die Out-Routes. Die WRs laufen diese Routen wie eine Corner-Route oder eine Post-Route.     Devs have suck to new lows with this trash. Buggier and glitchier than all hell. This series has been on a serious decline for the last ten years. I didn't care too much about buying a new one every year when it was some solid gameplay, but the devs are so lazy and clearly don't care at all anymore. They just want to milk us fans. Thanks Obama!

    With beautiful and accurate presentation as well as great gameplay, the basics are done fantastically well. It is such a shame then to see the rest of the package convoluted with endless menus and unnecessary, incomplete feeling modes. Madden 21 is certainly heading the right direction, here's hoping the newest iteration 'pads' everything out.

    Whilst improvements have been made to overall presentation and data analytics in Madden NFL 21 NXT LVL Edition on Xbox Series X|S, this remains largely the same disappointing entry. It is severely hampered by shallow game modes such as The Yard, Superstar KO, Class Franchise and Face of the Franchise. In the months since the initial release these could have been fleshed out, but the only major update comes in the form of Next Gen Stats.
