Mar 19, 2025I will admit, although I am a bit older than the characters in Lost Records, I am close enough to their ages that the friendships, environment, feelings and music all resonated with me. When the credits rolled on Tape 1, I didn’t just like Lost Records, I loved it. It was a tale of friendship, adventure and testing the depths of ‘best friends forever’. If Don’t Nod can follow this up equally with Tape 2 on April 15th, this might take first place for me in the series and give me the same feeling I first had when I first played Life is Strange back in 2015.

Feb 19, 2025DON’T NOD continues to surprise with Lost Records and Tape 1 - Bloom, pushing the narrative adventure genre in new directions. This first tape wraps up some story threads while leaving many tantalisingly unresolved, ending on a cliffhanger that sets the stage for the next installment, Tape 2 - Rage.

Mar 3, 2025After a slow start, things pick up nicely, doing a great job of recreating that teenage feeling of the 90’s, with no mobiles or internet but more random happenstance that leads to unforgettable adventures. Bloom & Rage – Tape 1 ends at a point that I’m now chomping at the bit to see what’s next, and I just hope the big mystery gets the pay off it deserves.

Mar 25, 2025Lost Records: Bloom & Rage - Tape 1 is captivating and exciting, with great chemistry between its protagonists. If the future conclusion of the story lives up to this first part, everything points to it being a spectacular story.
-
Mar 10, 2025The first half of Lost Records rewards you for your patience and delivers a pretty devastating cliffhanger ending. We can’t wait to see how Tape 2 plays out, and it’s hard not to urge anyone with an interest to give this one some time. You might just be surprised what you find.

Feb 26, 2025Lost Records: Tape 1 Bloom is an engaging and compelling first act that rewards the patience of its players with a relatable cast, tough choices, and a story with more than enough mysteries and pull to have you counting down the days until Tape 2 Rage arrives on April 15.

Feb 19, 2025Lost Records: Bloom & Rage tells a coming-of-age tale that takes too long to get off the ground, spending far too much time on slow dialogue and not too engaging scenes. The nostalgic element and the general story are appealing, but we feel the lack of a greater element of interactivity or a different rhythm in the narrative. I suggest waiting for the release of the second part of the story, so as to better evaluate a possible purchase and enjoy the whole story without interruptions.

Mar 13, 2025The first part of Lost Records: Bloom and Rage won us over thanks to its careful artistic direction, its remarkable writing quality and its endearing characters. The skilful staging of the dual temporality brilliantly mixes a very successful nostalgic atmosphere of the 90s with an immersive narration carried by a classic but effective gameplay. The music perfectly exacerbates the atmosphere and gives the title a strong and captivating identity that reinforces its emotional impact. However, a few shadows darken this picture, such as the sometimes excessive use of the camcorder which breaks the rhythm and can get redundant after some time, the scenario which struggles to get going, and a notable drop in framerates. In addition, we would have liked more enigmas. Despite these negative points, we cannot wait to find out more.
