Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is an epic first-person RPG that delivers everything fans of the genre crave. It’s brutal, expansive, historically rich, and visually offering an experience that refuses to compromise its authenticity for mass appeal. Unlike many modern RPGs that soften their mechanics to accommodate a wider audience, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 stays true to its roots, embracing realism, complex gameplay, and a richly detailed medieval world. This dedication ensures that those who appreciate deep, unforgiving role-playing experiences get exactly what they desire. The game doesn’t hold your hand; instead, it challenges you to adapt, learn, and survive in a world that feels as authentic as unforgiving.

The production levels of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 are very high, making the most of the consoles' hardware to offer us a game that is visually beautiful. In addition, the studio has opted to give us the opportunity to have brutal freedom from the moment we complete the introduction to the game, after a few hours in which they explain how everything works, later you will have a freedom that will make you lose yourself and enjoy one of the best role-playing experiences of this beginning of 2025.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is excellent both technically and creatively, presenting us with a memorable Bohemia and great storytelling. The complex and unforgiving mechanics may feel too challenging for some players, but for those who have a flair for this type of experience, it is a must-play and a truly memorable adventure in terms of its sense of freedom, richness of situations, and manic attention to detail.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II is a sequel that significantly improves upon the original game’s formula, offering major technical enhancements and a narrative accessible to both new and veteran players. The story picks up with Henry from the last point of the 2018 game, using flashbacks and conversations to recap past events. The gameplay stands out for its realistic combat and the memory of NPCs, adding depth and realism. Warhorse Studios has created an immersive experience that could be a strong contender for GOTY 2025.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II effortlessly builds upon the original game to offer a true open world in every sense of the concept. While some obtuse systems and unforgiving design choices may put some players off, Deliverance II feels like a game that better achieves all the potential that the original game had. It's engaging, exciting, and a lot more inviting. And for that, it's a truly successful sequel.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an epic RPG in every sense. This is a big, brutal world that works according to deep rules and mechanics that it's never shy about enforcing. Combat is tough, there's a heft and realism to everything, and you'll need to work hard for the things you achieve, but if you're up to the challenge, if you can spare a whole lot of time, this almost obtusely tough RPG will reward your persistence in spades. With top-notch writing and voice acting, one of the most convincingly real worlds we've ever roleplayed in, and an absolutely filthy line in humour, violence (and foul language), this is every bit the sequel fans of Henry's first outing will have been hoping for.

An RPG that is as extensive as it is extraordinary and that impresses with its lively world and great quest design.

With Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Warhorse has favoured fun and impact over realism, and as a result, the sequel to the popular 2018 title has improved leaps and bounds. Stability and bugs are still an issue, but if you can get past that, then there’s a thoroughly enjoyable medieval romp to get your teeth into.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 can be slow and lethargic, sometimes to a fault. It's a game that's more concerned with the plight of a villager than the saving of a kingdom. And yet it's in those very moments, the conversations in the back of a cart, the early morning horse-rides in the brisk, cold air; that the magic, charm, and humanity of it all shines brightest.

It won’t be for everybody, and even the ones it will be for will no doubt find grievances within its systems, but there’s no denying KCD2 is an incredibly deep and dense game that will reward those willing to invest the time and energy into getting the most out of it. A strong story pulls us through parts that otherwise might have been too much to persevere with, but there have certainly been enough times that we have found ourselves enjoying the game that we’d offer a cautious recommendation.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor, offering a captivating, immersive and demanding medieval adventure. Despite some significant shortcomings, such as uneven dubbing and questionable infiltration phases, the game shines for its narrative depth, its enriched and fine-tuned gameplay, and its attention to detail. The technical improvements and design choices are prime examples of the developers’ passion, making this sequel a success that will appeal to fans of immersive RPGs.
