    I've been waiting for this game since 2019. I am finally now at Hogwart. The best wizarding world game I have ever played. Masterpiece, amazing views of Hogwarts, and all around the castle. Duellings are so exciting and spell castings are excellent with the sound. Thanks to people who worked in this journey to create a beautiful, perfect wizarding world and the great story of the game.I've been waiting for this game since 2019. I am finally now at Hogwart.     Fantastic game, Combat mechanics feel great, Activities are varied and graphics looks amazing. Runs really well on Series X its the Hogwarts fantasy we have always had.

    To put in simply, this game is gorgeous, amazing RPG with great character, nice storyline.I had absolutely zero expectations and I was blown away in the first hour. This is gonna keep me entertained for a loong time

    Possible GOTY, a beautiful world, decent gameplay and combat. Enchanting characters and a captivating story. I have experienced 1 bug, not problematic or game breaking. All the people rating it 0 are being very petty, a game should be rated on its own merits, not on prejudices. One would argue the writer is prejudice? So two wrongs make a right? No!

    This game is amazing and I’m happy to see the positive reviews are far outweighing the review bombing dolts. If you like Harry Potter’s world even a little, pick this up. You won’t regret it.

    I’m loving this game! I’m at level 21 and been playing non stop on my last two days off. I have probably spent about 20 hours so far in to the game!

    Love the game been waiting for years for a game from the harry potter world, a must-play for any Harry Potter fan.
    The only downside for me was how few companions you can interact with and how limited it was, I would have loved it more if it had more school experiences and classes.

    I know it's cliche to say at this point, but this genuinely is the game I've wanted for over 20 years. Incredible immersion, great graphics, GREAT combat. Incredible job, I hope Avalanche gets a blank check after this release.

    It is an absolute joy to play. You are rewarded for every action playing this newly imagined exploratory game by WB Avalanche. There are good and bad people in power with opinions worse than the original author of this wizard world. Why not let the original author's opinion pass also. All people deserve a chance to experience this incredible adventure.

    True to the lore Harry Potter fans have been in love with for decades now, this is a must play game for everyone who loves the series, as well as anyone who loves a good open world rpg. The very minor hiccups here and there are easily ignored and don't detract from the game play.

    Absolutely enjoyed it since picking up the controller! Nice graphics, lore, and customization of characters (not bad). The fact it is open world is a plus and the combat isn't bad. Whether you a Harry Potter fan or not, this game is worth grabbing and enjoying hours upon hours of fun! You can also pick the house you want to be in- Team Slitherin!

    However, it is so lonely to run around Hogwarts and you dont really get the atmosphere of it being a School of magic. The few students who are around Hogwarts does not sense your presence, when passing by them.     However, it is so lonely to run around Hogwarts and you dont really get the atmosphere of it being a School of magic. The few students who are around Hogwarts does not sense your presence, when passing by them. They don't stand and talk together even though they are standing in groups. It's feels like laziness on the developers part. It is a so-called open world game. But your entire progression is tied to the main story. You can't really go exploring nor interact with your college mates. That brings me to the next point: It feels completely irrelevant which college you choose. I chose Slytherin but was shown around by a Weasley. I was expecting to have someone from my own dorm to be my friend/guide to lead me through the castle. But all interactiones are kindly embraced. You're a formal boy - I'd like to think you could choose whether you wanted to be good or evil:

    Your actions or lack thereof have no influence on the story. It's such an empty feeling. This makes the game too scripted. For example, when you enter a professor's office you can burn that person’s books without reactions unless you do what instructed to- again the game's characters do not sense your presence because it is SO scripted. Various professors and students you have to interact with are also just waiting for you. They are never doing anything that makes the experience believable. Yes, I'm perhaps too used to this from playing GTA and Red Dead Redemption. Im just saying that if Rockstar could implement all these things so long ago for older consoles - then the developers here should also have been able to implement just a few of these details in a so-called open world game. Well, I'm disappointed to be running around Hogwarts alone.    … Expand

    This game is brilliant, like I'm completely immersed into Hogwarts and the magic world, the combat system is fun, the storyline is quite good, the map is astonishing, as a Harry Potter fans, I'm very impressed and satisfied.

    But here's few things I'm not okay with 1. The alohomora is bit too much, first few time is ok, but keep playing the unlock mini game afterward is a bit annoying 2.     But here's few things I'm not okay with

    2. Some side quests are a bit repetitive and boring, I know is inevitable, but try to learn witcher 3, make the story of side quest funnier.
    3. The type of enemies and their mode of attack lack variety
    4. The interaction between us and npc are very few, like most of the I'm a lonewolf... I wish I can have some npc friends like Ron and Hermione
    5. The common room of the college, but not very interactive, also the playable part about college is not so many, usually appear in lines and 1 to 2 side quest only, it makes me feel like I'm a student of hogwarts only, belongs to which college is not matter to me.

    No wizard chess is ok to me, after all, is difficult to teach people play chess in game, and if the chess is easy, it will be a little dumb, if it's too difficult, it will painful to not good at chess player. And I'm really looking forward seeing how quidditch is presented, I think is not easy to make it good.

    Overall, avalance u did a good job, but keep going, don't mess up in upcoming dlc or sequel. I'm looking forward seeing London, Diagon Alley, the MoM and more.    … Expand

    The game is fun and makes an exciting journey without Harry Potter. I feel that you as a player makes a good protagonist throughout the game, you dont need the characters from the movies or the books. Im not a huge Harry Potter fan so to my knowledge the game doest follow any book but takes on its own journey and that journey is fun and intruiging. I have not finished the game but am roughly halfway and the characters are, while not perhaps top notch exciting and interesting, they are good enough for fillers and NPC's with perfectly fine dialogue, quest giving and animation. Voice acting is imo good and doesnt sound forced, fake or like someone is reading from a script. Graphics and animation is very good imo and you can clearly see all the details you ned to see. Some magic makes the screen extremely, extremely bright, something i first thought was a bug or a huge graphical error but no, it's just magic that you can get rid of. In the beginning the "fighting" is repetitive with only a few spells but it get loads better as you progress and you learn new spells and potions and using mounts. You can choose to follow the main story line, but there are quite a bunch of side quests, perhaps too many because occasionally they appear in the same area and for a while i lost track of the number of side quests i had. The mini map is quite excellent with a clear and disctint route for you to take if you are tracking a quest. The world map and hogwarts map is, for me, quite bad and not user friendly although im not sure how they could have done it otherwise. It works fine as such but it feels like a big overlay with general sections instead of a map and maybe that's the idea. The world map is better then because it's more clear where you are going. Customization is also excellent and I do believe you can look like any piece of gear that you pick up, from hats down to the regular clothes on your back. The clothes and the gear fits the universe very well imo and i cant say that im missing any kind of equipment. At ffirst i felt i didnt want to look like a 14 year old schoolboy but that dissapeared rather quickly as i progressed and found a cloak and kind of cool looking facemasks, yes... there are masks! Hogwarts is huge! And i mean huge! It's very nicely done with a very high level of detail to the area like flying books, moving paintings and talking travel points and ghosts flying around. I still havent learned it so i still have to use tracking and just follow the minimap. The game is good and alot of fund and I DO feel that if you dont at least try the game you are missing out. It's not perfect by any means but it's not at all a bad game, not at all. It's loads of fun, it's interesting, it's exciting and some quests will just pull you in and you just want more because the game sucessfully creates that kind of environment. It's not complicated, it's actually very simple and story driven, but you can do more that just follow the story and it makes you feel like you are actually a student at Hogwarts.     This game is magic! So cool to experience the world from a different time period. Combat is much better than I could imagine. Very little to complain about. PC needs work, though ps5 seems nearly flawless when it comes to performance. Hoping to see some good dlc and a sequel!

    A wonderful game, a luxurious experience, the game world is very beautiful, the gameplay is fast and very elaborate, the storytelling and dialogues are enjoyable, the diversity in the game is wonderful, an experience that is not repeated 10/10

    Absolutely excellent game. I haven't read the books since I was a young teenager, and was on the fence. But after seeing someone stream it, I had to dive in and - no regrets! Incredibly fun, exploring the castle is great

    An excellent arkham-like game, even if you are not a fan of the universe created by J.K. Rowling you'll enjoy this game, the world has complete fidelity to the universe of Harry Potter, every single location is perfectly recreated.

    Hogwarts Legacy is littered with small niggles which, when stacked together, make the game feel like it was released over a decade ago. While the castle is a large enough area to explore, the monotony of repeating quests and tasks makes the game feel last-generation and boring over time. Hogwarts Legacy could already use some DLC's in order to expand the size of the world, add more complex spells, and introduce a wider array of enemies. If you are a power-nerd looking for a new and complete RPG, you will have to wait for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, coming in April 2023. While most critics agree that Hogwarts Legacy is near perfect, due to the incomplete feeling of the game and lack of a solid story arc, it feels more Muggle than magic.

    Hogwarts Legacy is an extremely fun adventure, despite having some graphic and narrative difficulties. In the vast open world, which makes it possible to explore popular locations and live like a typical Hogwarts student, you will face interesting challenges in the path of unraveling the main mystery of the game. Even though it's an exciting adventure, even a muggle like me manages, at a certain point, to miss a greater magic to deliver everything that the fans expected.
