    Another game where most critics dont know what they are talking about. Yes the game has its flaws but its also filled with excellent moments, interesting characters, and a simple and fun design. Seriously this game is good! the only down side to it is that the game has constant waves of the same enemies and repetitive dialogs that characters wont shut up and endlessly speak.     This game is awesome! First off it is made by one of the creator's of Rick and Morty and it shows.     This game is awesome! First off it is made by one of the creator's of Rick and Morty and it shows. The main voice actor in the game is the voice actor for Morty himself and he is so funny! If you like RIck and Morty humor this game is for you, and man it was for me!

    Here are some positives:
    - Short campaign with a lot to do. I am a fan of the 10-12 hour campaign, I do not need every game to be a 100 hours of fetch quests. This is a shorter and more refined experience that focuses on art style, funny writing, and good FPS gameplay and platforming.
    - Combat and movement feel good and are very different. As you get new abilities, suit upgrades, and weapons you can move and kill in new ways. It is very fun in that regard.
    - The story is actually really fun and compelling. You are a bounty hunter seeking to take down a cartel from the bottom up.
    - The cast of characters are great. All the Guns have super funny personalities and even a touching and tragic backstory that you will learn about throughout the story.
    - The game is FUNNY. If you like Rick and Morty, play this game. If you like this game watch Rick and Morty.
    - The graphics and art direction pops off the screen.
    - The main villain is absolutely the worst in the best way, and by the lost boss battle you will be so ready to end its life.
    - The boss battles are a fun combination of puzzle combat and shooting.
    - The worlds are beautiful and colorful.
    - The worldbuilding is also really great and clever. There is definitely room for a sequel, I like the lore and factions in the world a lot.
    - Variety in locations and enemy types.
    - The achievement hunt it so good! You can, with a guide get 100% completion in one playthrough.
    - The length is perfect. I want to say my playthrough was around 12 hours with near total achievement completion. I love shorter focused campaigns because I can replay them and it ups the quality. This is one of those classic 12-15 hour shooter campaigns from back in the 360 days.

    You should play this game, I have no clue why it got bombed so hard it doesn't deserve it at all. Play it on game pass now!    … Expand

    This game was fun, funny, refreshing and a delight to play. Squanch games is definitely a studio i am excited about and can't wait for them to put out more games. I really enjoyed this game from the humor to the gameplay.

It's an amazing combo of Rick and Marty, metroid prime, and munched oddysee type all rolled into one amazing FPS game.     Fantastic game filled with original content, great humor, and FUN gameplay loop. Loving every minute of it. It doesn’t overwhelm nor overstay its welcome. I had zero good expectations for this after seeing low critics reviews but you can see from the user scores both here and on Steam it’s universally loved!

    El juego es bastante bueno, fue un lanzamiento inesperado para mi. El humor era bastante aceptable, pero a veces forzado, también un poco de exceso de dialogo, ya por lo demás era muy disfrutable y divertido.

    Funny, refreshing, fun! Great entry and looking forward to future games from this studio. Also, seems like gamepass really gave this game the access to reach so many ppl and it’s getting nothing but praise from everywhere I look. Seems the actual reviewers of this game, don’t match the actual gamers for this game at all.

    Why is the critics review so bad? This game was amazing, if it wasn't for Elsen ring this would be my goty. Of course there are some weaknesses but mostly because it's their first game and therefore smaller budget but i pray for a 2nd part and or dlcs. Must play

The ability to edit gun chatter adds a unique element to the game and makes it a more enjoyable experience.     In a world of games that feel completely the same and uninspired, this game stands out quite a bit for me. All the gameplay is pretty repetitive and not the most innovative, it is enjoyable enough. Where this game really gets strength is the creativity and the dialogue. There's so many situational moments that encourage you to just wait around and wait for dialogue to happen. I love it.     I really like this game. It can be annoying at times with the humor but the funny parts hit hard and can be great. The gameplay is very basic but works well. The game looks good and sounds good. I had no problems with glitches no freezing or crashing. I would recommend checking out a video of the first couple of minutes of the game to see if the humor is for you and if it isn’t don’tI really like this game.     Es un juego bastante interesante y original que te mantendrá un buen rato enganchado. En si es un shooter con un buen popurri de mecánicas que hacen mas dinámico el juego. Cuenta con un buen puñado de "gags" que divierten y un buen montón de easter eggs que si eres completista te mantendrá enganchado un buen rato. Lo único malo "a mi parecer" es el tamaño de los subtítulos que son muyEs un juego bastante interesante y original que te mantendrá un buen rato enganchado. Though the variate of weapons is great, the variety in enemies and combat is non-existent, it becomes repetitive real quickly, as there are only basic enemies(the weak one, the normal one, and the slow big one that deals lots of damage) The boss fights are also repetitive, as they are all based in the same mechanism( you fight the boss, he develops into a stronger boss, he triggers an ability that makes you unable to touch the ground or you`ll die, and this goes on with most of the bosses). there are 3 different type of maps, but they are all generic, so most of the time, you are looking at prefab assets in diffrent aspects and colors. Apart from this, it is still a really fun game to play, and the story is quite good, i think this game is worth playing,
    You can tell their main focus was to make a game that was not just based on combat, but more of a critic to modern generic games, as High on Life tires to be innovative.
    I see lots of people criticizing the way the guns talk and how annoying they can be, but that is the way they are intended to be, as when you are fighting or in a tense moment, you are not going to be comfortable, but instead nervous and annoyed with everihing that may cause you to loose focus.    … Expand

    Great game and worth playing. I beat the game in 3 days because I couldn’t put it down. It’s the type of game you’d expect from the creators of Rick & Morty, but not as funny as the show yet still funny enough to make you keep playing. My only complaint was the ending, I won’t elaborate on the bad ending I’ll just let you figure it out.

    A very enjoyable game. High on Life makes fun of its self and kept me laughing throughout.
    There are some visual bugs here and there, also a few times I had to restart a checkpoint to fix game breaking bugs. FPS issues were fixed in a Day 1 patch and am sure more patches will come.
    Overall High on Life has a great game play and level design that kept me coming back for more.

    Great game, this is what i was looking for, from Halo. A fun story to get into. Not sure why the bad meta reviews. Game pass is for gamers, and xbox knows its audience. I hope Xbox doesn’t fall into making Cinematic Button Smashers like Sony. Where you watch the game play by itself, No controller needed. Entertainment vs Gaming

    High On Life is a 10! It is the first first-person shooter, that I've enjoyed playing in a long time. Every map had such a unique style, that has not been done in any game IMO. The colors and the creatures like the Mopplets were so well done. The boss fights were all fun, the Metroid-like levels where you have to use all the gun's abilities to find all the secrets.     Such a freshing game that doesn't take itself seriously. I loved the comedy and the more casual FPS elements. Too many games these days take combat far too seriously and it's nice to have a more casual game that doesn't require any sort of grind or complex mechanics which you easily forget after 2 days away from the game. A very good looking game also. Cannot wait for the sequel.

    High on Life is a unique and highly enjoyable masterpiece! I don't even like or typically play shooting games, but once I started playing I could NOT stop playing till i did everything there was to do in the game. Storyline is wonderful, recomend everyone give it a try at least.

    Para mi sería un 86 pero sólo se puede puntuar con unidades. El juego es muy divertido, el gunplay sin ser muy elaborado tiene variedad de armas y algunas habilidades por cada arma. Tiene tintes de metroidvania con bastantes idas y venidas si se quiere mejorar todas las armas y conseguir todos los coleccionables. La variedad de enemigos es escasa pero tampoco creo que sea necesario ponerPara mi sería un 86 pero sólo se puede puntuar con unidades. El juego es muy divertido, el gunplay sin ser muy elaborado tiene variedad de armas y algunas habilidades por cada arma. Tiene tintes de metroidvania con bastantes idas y venidas si se quiere mejorar todas las armas y conseguir todos los coleccionables. La variedad de enemigos es escasa pero tampoco creo que sea necesario poner más, ya que no hay muchos tiroteos, la exploración es lo mejor, lástima que los escenarios no sean brillantes aunque están lejos de ser malos. Lo mejor sin duda es la narración si te gusta Rick y Morty no lo dudes, es lo mismo.     I personally loved this game and would recommend it to anyone, the "professional" critics are entitled to there opinion of course but it should be rated way higher than the 60's in my opinion

    God this game was incredible, It was so refreshing to actually laugh at a game for once. Words could not begin to describe how goofy of a game this is but, YOU HAVE TO PLAY!!

    The dark humour is excellent, the game play is decent but has loads of room for improvement or expansion should they make a sequal (please do)
    The bosses battles are great, they are challenging but not throw a remote through the screen hard like elden ring! This is easily 8/10 for the laughs and surprisingly good gameplay when I came into it not fully knowing    We need more games like this.

    Play through this game and you'll see that this was clearly made for the fans and not the critics. It's a fun and hilarious romp. Sit back and enjoy running around and fighting while hearing a bunch of great jokes at the same time. I really just had an enjoyable and relaxing time playing this game. You can tell that this game wasn't perfect in any way, but the voice acting and attention to detail was real labor of love for the creators.     the gameplay has nothing special to offer and the story is nothing unique it's fine but not great the jokes are the only parts of the game you want to pay attention to play it only for the jokes if you enjoy other Roiland's works

    Reí a carcajadas, divertido, un poquito repetitivo en la dinámica de combate en el sentido de que no hay gran variedad de glory kills, y el mapa está algo limitado, pero de ahí en fuera me parece asombroso, gran juego en ocasiones se parece al Doom por lo intensos que se ponen los combates, lo recomiendo en XBSX|S.

    A mecânica do jogo é incrível, as armas falantes são maravilhosas, piadas do jogo, o universo de Rick and Morty, algumas piadas +18 sim, porém que o jogo é um FPS não digo genérico, mas um FPS que junto do jogo trás um ar muito bom e de tudo a história é a melhor, seres humanos sendo usados como drogas e sendo traficados por alienígenas.

    Ngl forgot I even played this game and didn't add it to my account. I played it a **** ton when it came out. Game Pass is a hell of a thing. But I had a great time with this game. The humor is my kind of humor. It's just stupid fun. The gameplay is nothing special at all tho. Like everyone else has already said, if you're a fan of Rick and Morty then you'll probably like this game.

Some of the comedic elements of the game had me in tears laughing, like the sock-puppet threesome. Gameplay, world and sound are all quite good. Some of the city locations could have been richer with more activity and NPC dialogue, but the whack writing and jokes balance that out.Hilarious as hell and very creative, this sits in a class entirely of its own.     High on Life is an enjoyable yet silly first person shooter that works on most levels. While the humour sometimes misses he target, for the most part it is quite a witty and humouress story with interesting protagonists and antagonists to be found along the way as you explore this immersive alien shooter. Definitely a game for those looking for something unique yet different in the first person shooter genre.

    Humor is sometimes tough to get right. You have to pace it right and you shouldn’t overdo it. Justin Roiland and co. unfortunately throw it at you in mindless spades and hope something sticks. And underneath it all? Just a very average shooter.
