    Fantastic game, is fun and enjoyable from the start to the end, I don't get how this got 0 marketing and the big pile of **** that was Crackdown 3 got a lot, but ok I'm happy to see at last a great, fun and memorable Xbox Game.

    The animation quality and art style are top notch. The gameplay is great. It takes some time to get used to the combat and rhythm, but once you get the swing of it, it becomes second nature. The dialogue is good and mostly fun, but with some cringy lines here and there. The soundtrack is a banger, with NIN and Black Keys. Really solid game.

    Hi-Fi Rush is a masterpiece on its own category. It reminds me of the best games of the 2002-2008 era. At day one the game is polished, i played 10 hours so far and i encountered only one bug. ONE BUG. ONE! Can you imagine how this feels like in 2023? A brand new IP shadowdrops out of nowhere, and its almost perfectly polished?

If you dont have the sufficent money in your pocket atm, try to grab a month of Gamepass and im sure you can finish it, because by todays standards, its not a very long game (around 10-20 hours, depending on your playstyle and difficulty). There is replay value as well.

    A true joy. It has fun kinetic combat, along with great hart and humour in it's story right until the end. It is also the perfect length, something that is all to rare now. The only downside is that this for me was the final straw in considering PCGamer reviews still credible :(

    Hi-Fi Rush isn't the type of game I'd pick up and play, but I heard so many things about it that I just had to try it (thank you, Game Pass). It sorta ended up being what I already expected, with a few surprises along the way.

    This game is downright gorgeous! The animations, vibrant colors, cutscenes, character design and even the visual cues were amazing. It makes you feel comfortable    Hi-Fi Rush isn't the type of game I'd pick up and play, but I heard so many things about it that I just had to try it (thank you, Game Pass). It sorta ended up being what I already expected, with a few surprises along the way.

    This game is downright gorgeous! The animations, vibrant colors, cutscenes, character design and even the visual cues were amazing. It makes you feel comfortable to play, while doing it all in style. The level design is also quite amazing. At times I loved the platforming moments, little puzzles and just traversing through areas way more interesting than the battle system.

    Unfortunately, the story and writing are very dumb and obvious. I know that its silliness can actually be intentional, but I just couldn't do it with the dialogue and the lack of development on the plot and its characters. I loved the presentation and the cast/villains were quite charming, but I couldn't care for them. Honestly, the worst aspect of the game.

    But the real deal here is the combat. A weird mix between Devil May Cry and, I don't know, Guitar Hero, I guess. For me, it worked. Not always, but it did work. It took a long time to click, but it was fun when it did. The thing that bothered me the most was that, sometimes, it didn't really feel like I was doing combos on the beat when I KNEW that I was. And yes, I checked and tweaked things in the options menu. Also, sometimes I was more focused on the beat than in actually moving forward. It's very strange, but there is beauty in it.

    The bosses were hilights for me, the enemy variety is interesting but sort of lacking (some of them, like the bird and the samurai, are annoying as hell), the environments look very good but are somewhat repetitive and combos were cool to pull off but buying them on the store didn't seem to shake up the combat that much.

    One other thing that was a bit of a hit or miss for me was the music. I think that's what kept me from enjoying this game more. The licensed music is great. I never thought I'd actually fight a video game boss to the sound of NIN, Number Girl and even a Flaming Lips cover. That was amazing.

    As for the original music? It was bland and forgettable. And for a game that puts music as the forefront of its design, it needed to be awesome.

    Hi-Fi Rush is not my type of game, but it's a fun experience, for sure! I liked how entertaining, charming, imaginative and technical it is, but I did not fall in love with its cast, story, world and, most importantly, music.

    If you have Game Pass, though, you should definitely give it a try!    … Expand

    This was one of the most enjoyable mixes of genres I've played in a very long time. The game has a lot going for itself. The design is awesome, it looks like something out of an anime. The music is incredible and matches the energy really well, which is needed for a rhythm based game. The combat is fun and always brings something new to the table, and isn't stagnant either.     Reminds me of Sunset Overdrive, which isn't a bad thing. The combos aren't always too hard to land, the platforming isn't very complicated usually, and the combat is fun. Worth giving a try if you are into action games

There’s no real story, but the action carries the game. However, the enemies are pretty repetitive. Not a lot of variety except for bosses.     The best praise I can give this game is that it feels SEGA AF! It's like something that was ripped from the genesis or dreamcast and made it to modern consoles. Everything from the "almost too busy" colorful visuals, the high scores, the humor, the music. I felt like I was back playing earthworm jim or crazy taxi after school with some dunkaroos.

    What an amazing surprise this game turned out to be. A perfect mix of Devil May Cry, Sunset Overdrive and Scott Pilgrim. Had an absolute blast playing it. Highly Recommended.

    Also Korsica BEST GIRL !!!

    In my 11 hours playing Hi-Fi RUSH and I didn't see a single bug or issue of any kind. It's fun, it looks great, and runs flawlessly.

    If it were $70 I'd give it a 9/10 but it's as good or better than many $70 games despite being $30 which I say is worthy of an additional point lol.     The game is amazing, not repetitive, lots of variety of enemies. Good music, great gameplay. Art style is very very good, transitions from anime to gameplay is out of this world.

The actual timing of attacks is on par with Metal: Helsinger and BPM, its fluid, crisp and never feels like you're being cheated out of an attack. Using your allies to break shields gives it a fresh breath of air.

    Hab' gerade durch und war vorher skeptisch, weil halt Rhytmusspiel (kam mit Metal Hellsinger garnicht zurecht), aber das hier ist so gut umgesetzt!     Una auténtica sorpresa. Lo jugué en el Game Pass. Las sensaciones al jugarlo no son, ni de lejos, las mismas que los videoanálisis. ¿Hack&slash rítmico? Después de años y años jugando, me encanta que los videojuegos me sigan sorprendiendo y emocionando. Una historia simple, pero eficaz y divertida al igual que las situaciones y personajes. Recomendado 100%.

    HFR is an entertaining and often times challenging game, it can be difficult hitting the button timing just right but when you do oh boy is it sweet, this game is an amalgamation of Devil May Cry, Jet Set Radio, and Guitar Hero! To put it simply it's a rhythm-based ARPG extravaganza! ROCK ON!

    Visualmente precioso, banda sonora increíble, jugabilidad adictiva, personajes carismáticos... Todo lo que debe tener un GOTY. Para ponerle el 10 me han faltado un poco más de variedad de escenarios y jefes pero en lo demás es sublime

    i cant believe I'm going to say this but hi-fi rush is easily game of the year material i really don't have anything bad to say about the game its fun immersive beautiful and the animations are just supreme felt as if im back watching an old school cartoon network show

    even the fact that the only word i can place in context with this game is fun says way to much about it played it with a smile from beginning to end

    which bring me to my final score

    hi-fi rush easily reaches a 10/10 in my book i strongly recommend it

    one of the best games i played this year hands down
    honestly sometimes all it takes for a game to win your heart is just for it to be simply fun    … Expand

    Amazing game that came out of nowhere! Hands down best game of 2023 so far. The attention to detail is refreshing. Gives me Persona 5 vibes. The story is great, animation is superb, and it keeps throwing new things and surprises at you so you never feel like you are doing the same thing over and over.

    The best game I've played from an Xbox Studios. The rhythmic part is fun without being a burden, the characters are interesting, music selection is quite good and it's a really nice 2D/3D platformer. I hope they kep doing this kind of games. Played on Steam/SteamDeck.

    Story is fine, but gameplay is like DMC but with combos basically going along with the musical beat where you get rewarded for staying on the beat with your combos. Overall extremely fun game.

    Wonderful Just wonderful. This game is the proof that there are developers that actually enjoy making games. HI FI Rush is more than a game is Art in the most pure form. Amazing job.

    It’s a hack and slash with a combination of platforming for the whole family. From the start, its presentation, its plot and even its controls say it all. Its playtime is perfect, and you can play it as many times as you want. However, the button-matching stages can be tedious if you struggle to keep up, as well as a couple of bosses whose mechanics are unclear during the battle. Otherwise, Hi-Fi Rush is just flawless.

    What you will remember about Hi-Fi Rush is just how charming it is. It’s so rare for a game from one of the major developers to take a creative risk, and Hi-Fi Rush does just that. Not only is the core of the game innovative, but the way each character is written takes a big risk of having people switch off before they develop and you grow to love them. I hope Hi-Fi Rush is incredibly successful. I hope it teaches the industry that creative innovation can also create profits, and we see more new and interesting ideas from the big boys in the future.
