    If you’ve never played Helldivers 2, the game is now somehow even more fun than it was last year. A third enemy faction, new vehicles and mechs, a ton of new guns and customization options make it feel much more fleshed out than it was when dropping in at launch. With that comes some minor issues, however, many of which could be fixed with some kind of cross-save functionality. Still, if you’ve not enlisted to defend Super Earth yet, it’s time to do your part.

    A year or so later, Helldivers II remains an entertaining romp of online co-op fun. It flexes its muscles with wacky lines, a large number of ridiculous military objectives, and various ways to strategize and be entertained.

    Helldivers 2 still got it: a year and a half after its release, Arrowhead's shooter is still extremely fun to play. A little less so to master. The sparse tutorial serves more as a metaphor for military inefficiency than an introduction to the game, but fortunately for Helldivers 2, there are still some players willing to help on the battlefield. The game brings with it the strengths and weaknesses of its PS5 counterpart on Xbox, and today the former still far outnumber the latter.

Its unique approach and charismatic take on the shooter genre make it a sure hit for all players who enjoy online gaming. A wealth of scenarios, missions, and planets will keep you entertained for the duration of the superwar and its aftermath.

While it can become repetitive when played solo and lacks cross-progression, its satirical take on propaganda and its budget price make it an excellent value and a must-try for fans of cooperative action.
