Hades II

The console version of Hades 2 once again proves itself to be the ultimate roguelike. Supermassive Games' title offers practically flawless gameplay, where everything works perfectly, thanks in part to quality-of-life improvements and rebalancing changes based on player feedback. If you haven't had the chance to play Hades 2 on PC/Nintendo Switch 1-2, you absolutely can't miss the console version.

Surprising no one, Hades II is a stellar example of the roguelike genre, with excellent combat, rewarding loops and progression, and for those that are willing to spend the time a dense and expansive story and lore to dig into.. Packed with more game than meets the eye, Hades II is something we’ll be playing for a long time to come.

Hades II surpasses every expectation, delivering one of the most accomplished roguelike experiences ever. Deep, addictive, and impeccably balanced, it keeps us glued to the controller with rich content and refined gameplay, coupled with a strong narrative and stunning visuals.

A significant upgrade to the first game in almost every single way, Hades II takes the already really high bar and brings it even further up. Fifty hours in and I still can’t seem to put the game down. Hades II is an absolute must-play for pretty much everyone, fans of the genre or not.

Hades was a success, and despite reservations with its sequel, I can say that this latest game is impressive. The new mechanics, the new tone in its narrative, more serious and darker. Furthermore, the challenge has risen to the stratosphere, giving us a very complete experience that is enjoyed from the beginning.
