    It's so disappointing what they've done to these games. The developers either had no time or no skill to work on this. The original games looked great for the time and each had a visual identity and style, but this remaster is so lazily done, the games look like generic ripoffs.

    Just not good enough to even play it more than 5 minutes.
    I got San Andreas with game pass and I can't even see where i am going, game was to dark even when I set it up with lowest contrast and the maximum illumination.

    It would be better if they just give us the older version of these games

    Everything is glitchy and broken. Random npcs doing the t pose. Cars just flying in the air while driving. I can't believe they took what I thought was the greatest game ever san Andreas and destroyed it. They should have done a full remake in the GTA V engine. This was a cheap money grab. All future games will be this way.

    The graphics in this trilogy look good in some places and just awful in others it is still fun to play its just not the definitive versions of the original gta trilogy everyone hoped for. There are random performance issues and bugs. This trilogy deserved better also the full price of $60 is very questionable

    I tried, multiple times, to play this Trilogy.

    Compared to most I'm a very forgiving reviewer. I liked Anthem, I enjoyed The Division & I thought Mass Effect 3's ending was genuinely great.

    This "Definitive Edition" is awful. Terrible graphics on Xbox Series X, messed up AI & the world feels completely empty.

    I've never given a game a 0 before but this deserves it. For shame Rockstar.

    Not going to give this a 1 rating, but the more I play the more disappointed I can feel myself becoming. HDR is broken and this is the first time I have needed to switch of HDR fully off on my Series X. I have played SA for about 8 hours, and quite frankly I think I’m going to need to stop for now.

    The glitches have become fairly game breaking with bridges and geometry appearing and    Not going to give this a 1 rating, but the more I play the more disappointed I can feel myself becoming. Ridiculous characters, skins and cutscenes not matching creating some weird distortions in SA, and inumerous other problems and just poorly made "enhancements". All that and R* charges full price.     I only played San Andreas on Game Pass. Lots of problems with the graphics and the AI, but what bugs me the most is that the shooting hasn't been updated in any way. They just added a weapon wheel, otherwise it's still as janky as it was on PS2. Anybody who had hoped for a truly modernized version of these classic games is going to be sorely disappointed, unfortunately. I don't think I canI only played San Andreas on Game Pass. Lots of problems with the graphics and the AI, but what bugs me the most is that the shooting hasn't been updated in any way.     set vice city on xbox series x to performance mode, "fidelity" had low fps in critical situations.
    Missions are buggy, weapon controls are a joke, ads feels like 1DPI, auto aim only with pistol and UZI. Mission Cop Land: Garage Door was closed on arrival (bug), after setting the bomb in the mall (timer 5sec) we run away but out npc buddy gets killed bc he does not move with us (20times in a row bc restart of mission, bug)    … Expand

    All I can really say is that I'm glad Gamepass saved me from wasting my money on this. Like wow this is bad, and I went in with low expectations wanting to like it. After playing for a few hours I just can't and the only thing holding me in is nostalgia. The rain is horrendously blinding. I noticed after completing taxi fares and unlocking nitro/hydraulics in them that they'll randomlyAll I can really say is that I'm glad Gamepass saved me from wasting my money on this. Like wow this is bad, and I went in with low expectations wanting to like it. After playing for a few hours I just can't and the only thing holding me in is nostalgia. The rain is horrendously blinding. I noticed after completing taxi fares and unlocking nitro/hydraulics in them that they'll randomly jump in the air after reversing then accelerating after. When I was trying to get the social club achievement to get arrested 50 times, some cops would just pull me out of the car and attack me instead of arrest. Songs on the radio will skip, dialogue during cutscenes will cut off randomly. Lip movements are out of sync, and I noticed tattoos floating like an inch off my body. Swimming on the ocean floor lets you pass through the sand and solid rocks like they're invisible. Old Reece lost about 50 years of age, Denise looks awful. They somehow made the aiming worse. They removed the fog so you can now see the entire map if you fly up high which just destorys any sense of immersion. If this is the so called definitive edition I at least expect what was originally there. I was fine with the missing songs (of which there is a ridiculous total of 36) but I'm not fine with the missing multiplayer mode or cheats. The fact that these are ports of the MOBILE VERSIONS should be enough that they aren't priced any higher than those versions were, but no they want full price. They couldn't even play test this? I've lost all faith in and respect for Rockstar after this. I'm just glad I still have my old original PS2 copies.… Expand

     Essa é a minha segunda análise de algum jogo, a primeira foi o Cyberpunk 2077 e a segunda vai ser a edição definitiva do GTA San Andreas que de definitiva não tem nada (Se achar necessário saber se eu zerei ou não é só ir na minha Gamertag: SrPereira64) vamos começar com os pontos positivos, texturas e iluminação estão ótimas, algumas features como o de Checkpoint (Algo reciclado do port Essa é a minha segunda análise de algum jogo, a primeira foi o Cyberpunk 2077 e a segunda vai ser a edição definitiva do GTA San Andreas que de definitiva não tem nada (Se achar necessário saber se eu zerei ou não é só ir na minha Gamertag: SrPereira64) vamos começar com os pontos positivos, texturas e iluminação estão ótimas, algumas features como o de Checkpoint (Algo reciclado do port anterior da mesma empresa) sempre é bem-vinda, fora os milhares de bugs introduzidos nessa ’nova versão` vou citar os outros pontos negativos que não vi nenhum Youtuberzinho vagabundo acomodado falando. 

    1. Som= Os caras me vendem um jogo de 300 reais e nem para fazerem novos sons para armas eles prestaram.

    2. Modelos= Os modelos de armas e personagens desse jogo chega a ser patético, não refizeram merda nenhuma na parte das armas e no que eles mexeram na parte dos personagens ficou um lixo.

    3. Gameplay=  Essa foi a pior versão que eu já joguei do GTA San Andreas, mirar no controle é simplesmente uma bosta, eles removeram um recurso muito útil que tinha no PS2 que ao apertar o R2 e o L2 a sua mira travada mudava para outro alvo sem precisar necessariamente sair da mira (Sim, eu joguei o port do GTA San de celular para o X360 e ela é bem melhor em quesito gameplay e modelo de personagens).

    4. Água: Cara, outra coisa no mínimo medíocre foi a água desse jogo que não reage à chuva e nem aos efeitos climáticos ou o passar do tempo do jogo, por exemplo, a todo momento a água ao anoitecer fica com o mesmo aspecto ao estar de dia, coisa que em todas as versões anteriores tinham mudanças e isso causa uma estranheza absurda e nisso vamos ao seguinte ponto negativo.

    5. Drawn Distance: Cara, o fog é muito necessário principalmente para um jogo com o mapa tão pequeno igual o GTA San Andreas, até mesmo o GTA V utiliza desse recurso que mais tem pontos positivos do que negativos, já que ajuda a otimizar o game porque ele carrega as texturas com o player, pois não sobrecarrega o sistema com coisas desnecessárias que não afetam em nada a gameplay e deixa o jogo bonito.

    6. Otimização: Cara eu tô ficando puto fazenda essa Review, nunca vi os caras conseguirem pegar um jogo que roda até em positivo ficar lagando na porra de um Series S, um console com um Ryzen 3700x que roda BF 2042 sem nem uma queda de FPS, vi que a galera de todos os consoles estão reclamando desse pedaço de lixo.

    7. Jetpack: Meu deus, até nisso teve um Downgrade em relação às versões antigas, a Jetpack tinha um sistema que ao abaixar um pouco ela pegava impulso e ia mais rápido, e era algo pensado pela própria Rockstar, já que na missão de roubar ela no exército precisaria utilizar disso para ir o mais rápido possível na fuga, mas advinha, conseguiram estragar até isso.............

    8. Barreira no fim do mundo. Algo que tinha no GTA San Andreas era a ilusão que chegaríamos a algum lugar ao pegar um avião e ir simplesmente voando ao norte, e a Rockstar fez nas versões antigas uma ilusão de ótica que fazia o player acreditar que ele estava andando realmente a algum lugar, mas, na verdade, ele estava parado, e adivinha o que a versão definitiva fez? Ao fazer o mesmo você simplesmente volta automaticamente com o seu avião........

    9. Furos de roteiro. Por que resolveram colocar coisas do GTA V no San Andreas e no Vice City? Por acaso existe algum viajante do tempo nesses dois jogos? O San Andreas se passa em 1990 e o Vice City em 1986, colocar referências ao GTA V só mostra o ’’carinho’’ que a Rockstar teve com esse Remaster.

    10. Preço: Se cobrassem 80 reais pelos 3 jogos ou dessem uma atualização gratuita para quem já tinha esses jogos seja no PC, Xbox ou Playstation eu não estaria aqui reclamando, mas mexer com uma série de jogos tão fantásticas e darem um remaster tão porcos para jogos que revolucionaram o seu tempo chega a ser um tapa na cara de quem confiava na Rockstar, a minha nota para esse jogo é zero porque é a nota mais baixa do site, daria uma menor ainda se pudesse.    … Expand

    The sun soaked orange tint of San Andreas has been removed. Game is glaringly clear, no fog. Rain looks like falling MILK from the sky, to the point its actually disruptive and gamers have to stop playing until the rain quits.

    No love went into this game. No care to detail. No passion.
    This is a half assed, rushed cash grab.

    I'm really not sure what people expected. Its a remaster not a remake. It's the original PS2 game with better textures, better lighting effects, better draw distance and modernised controls. What more can you ask from a remaster? My only issue with the game is the price. It's way to expensive for what it is. Only remakes get built from the ground up. This is not that. Its a remaster.     One of the worst ports by a company people had faith in. Across the board, less impressive than the nodding community made of the original and pretty disgusting to release in this state. Literally unplayable in places also and several hard crashes. Vote with your wallet and don't support this method of fix it later game development as it will only get worse.

You could go through the r/GTA or r/GTATrilogy for 5 minutes and spot 30 bugs players have found, which vary from immersion breaking to game breaking. There are removed songs and animations in each game, the most egregious of the animations being everything muscular CJ does now. And as far as missing songs goes, the company that made this game has amassed an unbelievable amount of wealth, and it’s nothing but laziness and greediness to not work out licensing for the ACTUAL DEFINITIVE SOUNDTRACK. The games’ audio received almost no polish. It seems the only thing actually done to change these games from what they were before is the graphical appearance. When these games were current, they were the best looking PS2 era games around. With the “Definitive” editions just released, they are still nothing more than the best looking PS2 era games. The only changes to make gameplay any smoother are the free camera, and free camera drive by controls. By today’s standards, GTA 3 is next to unplayable. Nothing about it feels good. It was a chore to complete, and it’s a game from my childhood that I have incredibly fond memories of. I even go back and play the original version once every 2 or 3 years, along with VC and SA. These games deserved improvements to make them appeal to the generation that didn’t get the chance to play them when all the hype surrounded them. Instead, we’ve gotten 3 bug ridden messes from a studio that already ruined the 10 year anniversary edition of, arguably, everybody’s favorite game, San Andreas (I prefer VC for the story, and SA for gameplay). If changes aren’t made VERY soon to fix performance issues, and eliminate the dozens of bugs players are coming across, I think the legacy of these games will be tarnished, and the reputation of all companies involved will be questioned of laziness and greed. tl;dr: It’s a rushed mess. It is incredibly apparent they needed at least another 2 months to have the games properly built. And now, instead, we’re going to have to wait and hope that they add patches that we should’ve never had to wait for in the first place.… Expand

    It runs horribly. Pop in is very bad. While recording a capture it glitches the game so bad it looks like it’s gonna crash your Xbox. Frame rate drops when turning corners, many things are not brought over from the previous versions including text on buildings. I enjoy these games a lot and this is a disservice to us fans.

    Zero effort went into this trilogy so zero is the score it will get. How this game was released is beyond me. Oh wait, it's greedy devolves. A quick Google search will lead you to unlimited meme worthy in game images. It's obvious that Rockstar has given up and is just going to milk Shark Cards. Sad to see. If I could give it a negative 10 I would.

    Anyone who's worked in an office environment knows what happens when you lose the original copy of a document and have to make copies from an existing copy. Eventually you're making copies off of third or fourth level copies and the quality is severely degraded. Text is hard to read, margins are wavy, lines are crooked, there are marks on the page from copier issues. To get a decent copy, eventually you have to cut up the *least worst* portions of existing deformed copies and tape them to a piece of paper before running it through the copier again.

    That's what this Definitive Edition is. A third or fourth generation copy of the originals that they took parts from other versions and taped together before releasing it. In this case, the CORE of the game are the already bungled mobile ports from several years ago, NOT the original versions. They lifted pieces from the X360 and PS3 ports, the first Windows port, and the original version and cobbled them together with old tape and spit. And the shoddy quality shows.

    Deformed NPCs, missing textures, texture glitches everywhere, idiotic rain textures, removal of elements like fog, no optimization for consoles or PC with scaled down NPCs and foliage making the world feel dead, audio cutouts and pops, frame rate stutters and drops, and, of course, a good third of the soundtrack missing.

    This is a bolted together glorified mobile game they slapped on 4K next gen consoles with a handful of minor graphical modifications they didn't properly QA and yet they have issues properly running on all platforms including beefy top end PC's. There's no excuse for that beyond being a cash grab.

    Asking $60 for this is an absolute joke. Grove Street Games can say they're enjoying all the negative feedback and are listening as much as they want -- the game should have NEVER launched in this state, and I doubt a few patches will fix it. All three need MAJOR overhauls and no amount of patching will change the fact that the core of these games are ports of the mobile versions, not the originals themselves.

    I'm very disappointed to see what's become of Rockstar over the last decade. They went from a studio with multiple beloved IPs ranging from niche to widely popular to being able to only put out two actual games (GTA5, RDR2), and coast for 10 years by milking whales with GTAO Shark Cards and constant ports of GTA5 to 'new' consoles. We lost franchises like Bully, Midnight Club, Max Payne, and Manhunt for this version of Rockstar Games. Remember the days when Rockstar was like, "Screw it, we're going to test our new in-house graphics and physics engines by making and selling a Table Tennis game!"? Those were the days.

    Do not reward them with your money for this. I'm generously giving it a 2 because a 0 feels too much like hyperbole and the addition of the radio wheel was decent, at least...    … Expand

    This comeback of the three GTA classics feels superficial and poorly optimized, although some improvements are clearly visible. It's not the remaster we were hoping for, but these are still immortal classics that can still entertain and sometimes even amaze. And sometimes that's all we need.
