The first thing that I must mention that I truly enjoy is the art style and the cinematic approach to the games overall style. It’s a cyberpunk game where you have to fight for your identity’s freedom, but this one takes a unique approach for sure. With that said if f you’re a fan of comic books, you definitely want to experience Foreclosed. As you progress through the game, the scenes shift around and form panels on a “page”. Dialogue boxes fill the screen during the uneventful portions of the game, and it lends itself to the more “cinematic” moments in the game. One of the weaker parts of the storytelling is the voice acting. It just kind of sits in the middle of good and bad. Much of the game is narrated by Evan in a noir-styled fashion. Honestly I enjoyed it because of the feel it just feels right tho some may complain about it. Foreclosed has some outdated mechanics but in the end it’s fun and holds a great sense of style in its own right. So without giving spoilers away and too much about the game I personally recommend heading over to the Xbox digital games store and giving it a run. It’s a lot of value for the price of admission and if you like what I’ve said about the game ,I’m quite sure you’ll agree after playing it and enjoying it for yourself. Expand

A fun little indie game that is hampered by bad checkpoints and tough aiming. I love the art style and atmosphere this game creates. The story isn't really that great but the game doesn't hang on that.

Foreclosed feels like its on a swinging pendulum where the extremes are “Frustrating” and “Mediocre” and it constantly swings in these directions within minutes of each play session. It’s all style and no substance, unfortunately. If the aiming was so haphazardly programmed and maybe an extra animation or two to make it feel like I wasn’t shooting the same person over and over, or maybe if the cover in the cover-based shooter would actually work, then maybe I could give it a pass, but the way Foreclosed is currently, I would say pass on this one. Even at deep discount, you’re just going to end up frustrated or bored.

This game has some enjoyable parts, like the art, story potential, and cyberpunk aesthetics, but it is ultimately underwhelming.

Foreclosed excels with the visuals making this a unique experience I haven’t seen elsewhere, but could have used more work with voice recording and mixing with game audio. Fans of third person shooters or people searching for an interactive fun comic book game will enjoy this artistic title. It’s also a great selection for those who like Max Payne or Deus Ex as described by the developers.
