The Career Mode (Driver) lacks the depth needed for full immersion, especially with the removal of interviews. This omission leaves players wanting more engagement and connection with their virtual racing careers.

The AI, disappointingly, seem to stick rigidly to the racing line, missing the unpredictability and dynamism that would make races truly engaging. This lack of adaptability from the AI diminishes the overall experience.

Car and suit liveries, unfortunately, feel like a copy-paste job from the previous year. The absence of fresh designs is a missed opportunity to inject some new designs and excitement into the game. Additionally, the Career Mode's (Driver) transfer system feels empty and underdeveloped, missing another opportunity for players to feel a greater sense of progression.

Online co-op is a welcome addition, but it's marred by aggressive AI behavior. The constant collision caused by AI can lead to frustrating moments that detract from the multiplayer experience.

The absence of the "Breaking Point" mode is a notable disappointment. Its absence is keenly felt, as it was a standout feature in previous iterations.

Despite these setbacks, playing with friends can inject some fun and make the game more enjoyable. However, it's disheartening to see a sports game take a step back in certain aspects. F1 22 ultimately feels like a downgrade compared to its predecessor, which is a letdown in a genre that should aim for continuous improvement.

Probably the worst racing game I've ever played.

It's an exact copy of the previous game but in this game you can buy couches and furniture. The handling and traction is even worse that 2021 where it was already a major problem. You'd probably have more traction in rally car on ice that you would in this game even though f1 cars have the more downforce than any other car.

The AI is totally broken is just goes so much faster than you down straights. They claim to have fixed this bug but they haven't.

Tons of other bugs in this game.

    AI will just ram you.

Online takes forever to find a game, and trying to finish a race clean is next to impossible (see traction).

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME if you want to maintain any sanity.

It is the same game as last year, with the same bugs and poor online connectivity. It adds F1 Life which is nice but useless. Handling wise, it has nothing new and it is maybe even worse. The car slips away at the most awkard moments and it feels totally fake. The lack of new things and the old bugs that still appear again and again show the laziness of the developer.

The game is totally unplayable for me. Every time that a cutscene starts or a session ends, it will likely crash. But is not only the crash itself, the thing I hate the most is that shuts down my xbox. When I reboot, it says that was overheating, but the fan was neither noisy neither nor the console was hot!!!

I looked for a way to solve this problem: asked EA support, EA forum, tried everything, nothing worked. So I asked three times a refund to Microsoft, but since the problem happened to me after 14 days from purchase they refused it.

So I made other researches and I was utterly disgusted when I found out that this problem happened with f1 20 and f1 21 at launch on xbox. Even worse, I read that many couldn't play madden 22 and EA closed these posts, just saying: make the updates.

I have simply lost my money.

I don't really know why people are so angry about this game being that "bad". I always played this saga in my PS4 and before in my xbox360, and it was a "normal game" until last year with the "break point" history, that was a champion decider. But even without that history mode for this year release, I can not complain about this game at all. Bugs? maybe some...yes... I see a lot of people here complaining but don't saying the good parts, I'm going to tell you my point of view:

About the graphics: Well, I thought that this year would have a great improvement in the graphics. They advanced a little in that direction but It was not like when you see Horizon 5 for the first time. I think the last time I felt a sensation like that was then I saw, for the first time, Gear of War on 2007. At the end, they are nice, but not that great.

Gameplay: Same as always. I like a lot that this year the engine wear and consumption is very important. That is really nice to take in count when you play the championship battle.

Sound: Well I think is the same. Very good quality as always with engines' sounds effects and the enviroment music as well. I used to hear it in my PS4 with a good headsets. I don't have one for my xbox, then the quality of my TV isn't the best provide an accuarate opinion.

Note: The sound track for this game is the best for any racing game. You have to hear it to really understand, another championship decider.

That's the problem when the sport becomes too popular and have a bunch of DtS idiots that know nothing about F1 make the decisions.

Wheel and pedal detection problem, Many bugs including freezing, frame drop and network connection... Everything about that is severe matter to playing game. But EA does not response for patch and its schedule. It is not worth to 100% payment.

Bugs and unstable AI. Also, literally the same game as F1 21 just a new cover and €70 price tag. I returned my copy to the store and will run down the 10h trial from Gamepass. I recommend you guys doing the same before purchase.

Game released as a beta so many bugs and glitches and support no help whatsoever. Don’t waste your money as if the last few years are anything to go by it won’t be fixed quickly if at all.

EA and Bugmasters don't care they are ignoring any bug reports and refusing to engage on their on forums.

A lot of bugs, bad VR implementation (very shaky, blurriness, FPS spikes). Not much new compared to F1 21

If every single weekend you are waiting for the Grand Prix or you might be curious about the motor sport both in the real world and the virtual one, you should give it a try. This is the most polished and fresh experience of the franchise in recent years. It is also a graphic and technical treat regardless of your level of experience or how much you love a video game.

F1 22 delivers fantastic driving experience and dynamics with many options that do make the game as welcoming or challenging as the player wants it to be, for the sport fans its a dream come to life, but unfortunately the game didn't evolve much.

F1 is back in style thanks to Codemasters and EA. Its renewed gameplay is fresh air for the franchise. A great game that will captivate motor fans.
