Sep 26, 2025EA Sports College Football 26 is a fantastic university football game, and arguably the best American football simulation available today. This year's version raises the bar with numerous upgrades that make the gameplay experience decidedly superior. With improved gameplay, especially on defense, and exceptional immersion, it's a top-tier product for all fans of the sport.

Sep 25, 2025This isn’t a title to nitpick, so, let’s break this down to the important things. College Football 26 is an absolute blast to play, and is a massive step forward for the reborn franchise, thanks to the type of year-over-year improvements that will please even the most cynical gamers. A title this deep and layered will never be perfect, but seeing last year’s foundation turn into this year’s celebration has been wonderful. I’m not likely to put this down any time soon.

Aug 27, 2025An Audio and Visual Upgrade but some parts fall flat, This is the nature of yearly sport games unfortunately. But the ability to play from High School all the way to the NFL is a reason I would get both College Football & Madden this year.

Jul 16, 2025EA Sports College Football 26 is like being in the stands among the fans of your favourite team, living the traditions and experiencing the explosive gameplay as if you were actually there.
-
Jul 15, 2025EA Sports College Football 26 is a step forward in the right direction and builds really well from where CFB 25 left off. There are plenty of quality of life additions from menus and UI to even more sliders and options for players for the various game modes.
-
Jul 14, 2025College Football takes everything from last year and moves it forward a little bit, with the stadium atmosphere, lighting, and quality of life updates taking the star position. Dynasty and Road to Glory have both gotten much-needed tweaks from last year and much-needed attention to detail, especially in the menus. While there are many upgrades from College Football 25, College Football 26 suffers from a lot of little issues, which create frustrating moments in multiple areas. Time seems to have put a damper on making this game as polished as it could have been.

Jul 8, 2025Yearly sports titles tend to be small upgrades. College Football 26 is different, as CF25 set the groundwork after over a decade away. ’26 takes a more-is-better approach and smashes it. This is one of the best-playing and most realistic-feeling college sports titles I have ever played.

Jul 24, 2025Despite my shaky feelings on some of the core modes, College Football 26 is a marked improvement over College Football 25. I got a lot out of the smaller changes, like the new Dynamic Substitutions and supplementary Dynasty features. It’s yet to be seen if this franchise will fall into the cynical rinse and repeat pattern that Madden has been on for several years now, but for the time being, it’s more CFB goodness.

Jul 11, 2025College Football 26 is a step up from last year, there is no doubt about that. The game looks stunning and plays differently enough from Madden to justify sinking hundreds of hours into it.

Jul 15, 2025It’s hard to explain to people apathetic or ambivalent to sports games, but criticism that they’re annual roster updates originates from communities that love sports and want these video games to be as great as they can. There was a time Madden seemed to be actively getting worse every year. It took NCAA Football most of the PS3/360 era to find its footing. For all my concerns about tightening the screws around Dynasty mode, there’s clearly a lot of effort here, and the actual on-field gameplay is tremendous fun. Considering this series’ history, and how it went away for a decade, I’m often evaluating the new one from the perspective of “If they never make another one, will this be a worthy legacy for the work invested and for the passion the people have for the sport?” For College Football 26, despite some caveats, the answer is yes. They’ve definitely raised the floor and they haven’t hit the ceiling. After over 1000 hours in its predecessors, I put over 200 hours into College Football 25; I’ll be surprised if I don’t put even more into College Football 26.
-
Jul 14, 2025College Football 26 feels like a sensible step forward, a step back, and standing still all at once. Gameplay is even better than it was before, Road to Glory is somehow worse, and Dynasty is just about what it was last year. There are certainly worse outcomes for an annual sports title, but it is important to go in knowing that EA hasn't exactly reinvented the wheel.
