You will be pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable moving containers around a port can be. A big part of that enjoyment stems from the story of Docked, closely followed by the precision of the gameplay.

Docked may essentially be all about moving heavy things, but it does so brilliantly, and sitting behind a joystick on any of the machines is, as we know from an old internet legend, what gives you power. So, I find it difficult to see how this type of simulator could be made in a more entertaining way than Docked actually manages to do.

Docked is a solid next step in the sim category for Saber Interactive. I loved every second learning about all the new machinery and how best to use it. The introduction of a story was a nice touch that a lot of simulation games don’t have. The few performance issues didn’t take away from the fun I had with Docked. However, the lack of continuing to play after I finished was a bit of a letdown. Working so hard to get my port fully upgraded, and not being able to really use it.

Given that RoadCaft left me in the dirt, I honestly believed that Saber's simulation ship had sailed on me for good. Fortunately, Docked has managed to reel me back in, providing a seriously entertaining casual simulation with tons of tasks to keep the enthusiast (un)loading for hours. The only things ruining the immersion are graphical issues, QTE-minigames that just don't land the way they should, and Port Wake that isn't as hustling and bustling as you'd expect from a major transport harbor.
