    Great nostalgic game for me, and a great new game for my fiance. Absolutely love it minus the few issues on day 1 which were fixed in the first couple hours for the most part.

    Despite both the original release and Switch version having a true offline mode, this version does not have anything of the sort. To access your "offline" characters you must first connect to Blizzard servers to authenticate.

    Unfortunately Blizzard has failed to keep the servers in any form of operating capacity has resulted in the inability to play repeatedly. This can even be verified by looking at their support Twitter. On which, is post after post from Blizzard discussing the u schedule downtime.

    To add insult to injury, should you have an "online" character. You run the risk of it being deleted, or hours of progress lost after server roll backs that Blizzard performs after said unscheduled maintenance. This issue has even went so far as to delete the Horadric cube thrice from my inventory. Thankfully you can run back to Act 2 to pick it up again.

    Worth mentioning as well is that Open Battle.Net and Closed Battle.Net are gone. Offline characters are permanently offline with no way to ever bring them online. Meanwhile online characters are the equivalent of closed Battle.Net. Additionally, at the time of this writing, ladder play is not available.

    This game also lacks many basic, necessary functions. There are no lobbies, chat, or the ability to set number of players.

    I always said if a remaster of Diablo 2 was ever made, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. In this case I did, and have regretted every moment of it.    … Expand

    It plays suprisingly well on the controller. Yes, it is somehow limited compared to keyboard + mouse combo (some builds on hell will be problematic) but I still enjoy playing this version. Event though it is fine on the controller it would be really great to have an option to also use keyboard + mouse on the consoles. Otherwise I miss only TCP/IP multiplayer and ability to scroll map.

    This is a great game! But you can’t play it. For some reason, blizzard cannot keep servers online, so it is wasted money, time and effort. Don’t bother buying it.

    No lobbies, no chat, annoying stat allocation that takes ages, bad servers, false promises, false advertising. Game should be 4.99 since 90% of the game isn't on consoles

    The game has servers, which the original Diablo 2 never had, and I don't even understand why this game have servers, in not an MMO. I guess the people at Blizzard really is idiots and/or retards.

    Blizzard ain't what it once were, and I'm never going to buy another game after this **** show.

    Diablo II, it's pure nostalgia after 20 years the game remains fun and it's addicting, diablo day one had big issues with the servers, as always, diablo deserves to be played by the real fans

    Откат персонажа на несколько лвл назад после того как удалось несколько часов поиграть.
    Лаги, вылеты.
    За что я заплатил 40$?

    You have verrrrry limited storage and you drop ALL YOUR GEAR when you die. Oh god it is a frustrating mess that doesn't deserve the hype, it's all nostalgia goggles except for the art design and atmosphere, which are excellent

What was the point of bragging about how much attention to detail was given to replicate the original’s graphics if you couldn’t get the basics of the character models right? Blizzard even censored some of the enemy models and backgrounds. Blizzard knew the outrage from fans over the changes they made to the character designs and doesn’t seem to care and released it in this condition anyway. The only reason I gave this game a 1 is that you can switch back to the original uncensored graphics but that kind of defeats the purpose of buying a remaster in the first place and that doesn’t really fix the ugly models which are still present. Don’t support this “remaster” with your money the original unbastardized version is still available to play.… Expand

    I bought this game on both Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.
    The game would be great, but it's literally impossible to play it because the servers are always unreachable during the weekend and most of the times on weekdays too.
    In the past 2 weeks I was able to play only 1 hour or so because whenever I try to login into the game the server is unreachable. Sometimes I am able to play on    I bought this game on both Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch.

    I tried to request a refund for the XBOX purchase but it was denied because I played 14 hours which is more than the allowed time for a refund... yeah... the issue is that out of those 14 hours probably 7 of them were used to try to login into the game and get errors.
    The game is a nice review of the old Diablo 2, but being unplayable I can only give a 0 rating to this... because at this stage is just stolen money, you are paying for something that you can't event launch. Just don't buy it and wait for some months until everything is fixed and maybe the price is lower.    … Expand

The graphical facelift looks great, the look and feel of the original was preserved and, for the most part, that works heavily in this games favor. There are certainly a few annoyances in the original release that remain, for example the limited inventory space, but that's really down to personal preference of convenience vs authenticity.

    If you have played LOADS of Diablo 2 in the past, I'm not sure I could recommend this game as you'll be doing that same thing you were 10 years ago. If you're new to D2 or, like me, you played it casually back in the day, there's countless hours of replayability here. My only complaint (and it drives me nuts how simple it would be to fix this...)

    You cannot scroll the map and you cannot easily decide what item to pick up. This is made 1000x more frustrating by the simple fact that the right thumbstick does nothing. Ever. *Easy* fix Blizzard, c'mon now.

    Overall, not perfect but certainly several hundred hours of fun for $40.    … Expand

Нет никакого смысла играть в пати, ибо даже с друзьями непонятно как делить рарный дроп. Вот упала нам руна BER, она нужна прям всем, как ее делить?! Сапортом вообще не поиграть, пати ненужна, одеться нереал. Еще приходятся заводить тонну мулов. У меня уже 15 персонажей с разными предметами. Поставил бы 1, но все же удовольствте я от первых 50ти часов геймплея получил. Больше играть не вижу смысла. Близард сдулись.    … Expand

    Dream come true. Now I can play my favorite game growing up onto console and giving it achievements. I love kicking back in bed or getting stoned and chilling on the couch getting lost into this game again as a pass-time. Real life was going so well too.. so much for those job interviews lined up, I gotta play more!

Stattdessen, so kommt es mir vor, werden Fernzauber und Fernangriffe willkürlich in die Menge an Gegnern gefeuert. Schamanen, die hinter ihren wiederbelebten Gefolgsleuten stehen, kann ich nur schwer treffen, da das Spiel automatisch immer nähere Gegner anvisiert. Das raubt mir den Spielspaß. Außerdem: Obwohl ich das Spiel über den Xbox-Store gekauft habe, kann ich es nicht auf meinem PC spielen. Dazu müsste ich das Spiel ein zweites Mal kaufen - ohne Rabatt oder dergleichen. Das ist nicht fair.

    Eine dringende Bitte an Blizzard: Um Himmels Willen, bitte implementiert Maus- und Tastatursteuerung für Konsolen!    … Expand

    A beautiful remake of a beautiful game. I wish some items were changed from the original, like the storage capacity, etc. But this is just me. The only negative thing is the AI, which wasn't updated and is visible looking at the mercenaries' actions.

    Server problems, 1 resolution mode unplayable (massiv tearing around characters), character-classes optical changes for a more political correct look ruining at least half the classes ( not looking even close to the orginal design)
    now they do more changes but still have the skills are not playable...

    Diablo 2 is my favorite game of all time. Easy 5*. Resurrected is more modern Blizzard being Blizzard. Can’t even log in, due to connection issue that’s persisted since September for XsX.

    A Remaster to the letter, Diablo 2 Resurrected introduces a new graphic layer on top of the original Diablo game, which is still available at the touch of a button. The inclusion of the Legacy mode shows both the progression in graphics and the truthfulness to the original in gameplay. While there are some quality-of-life improvements, we would have preferred quite a few more. Resurrected is especially suited for the hardcore fans of the original, provided they can wait for online to be included.

    Diablo 2 Resurrected is a masterpiece in its own right; it evokes a freshness all the while hitting players with an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. The sheer joy that is had when delving into dungeons to destroy the Lord of Terror and by extension is brothers (the expansion Lord of Destruction is included in this release with all of the classes/items and fixes that it brought back in the day. But players can play vanilla Diablo 2 but its not recommended for beginners) is indescribable. I am getting a giddiness just thinking about returning to the game, and not too many current video games can evoke that kind of feeling; and that’s where Diablo 2: Resurrected shines brightest.

    Time spent with Diablo II: Resurrected is certainly an enjoyable one. It isn’t as polished as Diablo III, but then this is a remaster of a 21 year old game and I fear the devs were pretty much painted into a corner: if they changed the systems, the original fans would be up in arms, but keeping the original feel does mean it slightly alienates players who are used to the newer game.
