May 26, 2023Convergence is my favorite League of Legends side story thus far. Double Stallion did a fantastic job of taking a champions kit and realizing it in a totally different genre of game and made each ability shine. Ekko as a character has a sort of an infectious positivity about him and his willingness to aid a hand to help his city and those in need is something that we need more of in the real world. Full of cameos and easter eggs for League fans and having some genuinely fun boss fights against some champions from Runeterra there is a lot to love in Convergence for longtime LoL fans. Its solid gameplay, fantastic graphical style, and excellent metroidvania gameplay makes this game one that even those non-fans of the series will love.

Jul 5, 2023CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story is definitely geared towards more casual platformer gamers and as far as metroidvanias go, there are better ones out there.

May 23, 2023Convergence: A League of Legends Story reveals another important part of the universe, but with the atmosphere of the Arcane series, as the locations and some of the main characters are similar. The conflict between Piltover and Zaun, against the backdrop of a war of influence for the control of Hextech, is given a new chapter of history here, while taking up the traditional themes linked to the risks of temporal paradoxes. One truly enjoys following Ekko in his peregrinations, his fights and his doubts throughout this episode, which is still a bit short considering the price. Nonetheless, whether technically or in terms of gameplay, the title keeps all its promises. It is less metroidvania than it seems at first, but it remains a good 2D action game, both accessible and complete.
