Nov 27, 2023While not the most memorable campaign of the series, and nowhere near the quality of Modern Warfare II’s epic setpieces, it’s a serviceable entry, but feels more like filler that should have been DLC rather than a fully-fledged entry that brings new excitement and potential fans.

Nov 21, 2023Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a bit of a mixed bag, but one that I thoroughly enjoyed my time with. "DMZombie" is not quite for me, and the campaign's short length and varying quality are worth noting. However, the linear campaign levels left me quite satisfied and most importantly, the multiplayer suite has been an absolute blast to play.

Nov 17, 2023Well, if you play these games solely for the campaign, skip it and find a YouTube playthrough. The narrative experience is just too short and doesn’t do anything really new and exciting. Modern Warfare 3 ended up turning out how most feared and that is it just feels like a DLC with the developers focusing on the nostalgia of MW2 instead of pushing the genre and game forward.

Nov 13, 2023Call of Duty: MW3 is a fantastic multiplayer experience. However, its lack of originality and the short story mode were disappointing. However, if you love nostalgia-infused action, you'll adore every multiplayer map you play. Unfortunately, though, this is far from being the best COD title ever.

Nov 13, 2023Even Call of Duty can start going downhill.
-
Dec 3, 2023Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III offers an experience with lights and shadows. While the campaign mode and zombies claudicate in a decaffeinated experience and far from the heights of excellence of other deliveries, the multiplayer mode manages to tow the negative aspects of the game, offering a fun experience that will entertain us for hundreds of hours.
-
Nov 19, 2023Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 returns to offer renewed and more frenetic gameplay. Something really good that people like. However, the open world missions of the story mode do not convince and of course, the SBMM in the multiplayer mode makes it unplayable in two days. Big problems for a game that could have been so much more.
-
Nov 13, 2023Modern Warfare 3 fixes most of the issues of Modern Warfare 2, but relies so much on it that feels more like a big update than a new entry in the series.
-
Nov 17, 2023All in all, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) is, at its best, a safe and minimal upgrade over last year’s episode and, at its worst, a visibly rushed, somewhat poorly designed, and unbalanced collection of game modes. Sure, it builds upon the excellent technical and mechanical background from last year’s game, but much more worryingly: it offers a short Frankenstein monster of a hybrid campaign with much of it being essentially repurposed Warzone content; a Zombies mode that also feels like an unbalanced and unpolished rehash of things we’ve seen in said battle royale mode and last year’s DMZ; lastly, with multiplayer limiting itself to fairly superficial (if generally positive) changes, alongside merely introducing remakes of old maps.
-
Nov 14, 2023Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The concept of open combat areas in particular sounded promising. Unfortunately have to say that our expectations were clearly too high. And while the new Zombies mode is a mixed bag, versus-multiplayer remains good fun - thanks to small but wise gameplay changes and lots of content and modes. However, if you were hoping for fewer remake-maps and a wealth of new combat scenarios, you should look elsewhere.
-
Nov 20, 2023Sure, credit where credit is due, MWIII’s gameplay is solid with industry best gunplay and the Zombies mode is one of the franchises best ever. But it’s the half dozen or so poor design choices that continue to drag these games down. Call of Duty has risen to a level where they’re just too big to listen to fan feedback, and MWIII is a testament to this. Call of Duty fans deserve better.

Nov 13, 2023The campaign is made up of Warzone content, the multiplayer is comprised of maps that are 14 years old, and the Zombies mode uses a map that will be recycled for the battle royale. $70 is a high asking price for what's here, but those that do decide to take the plunge will find the best Call of Duty multiplayer experience in years and an intriguing open world Zombies mode that, while not quite as fun as the classic round-based Zombies maps, can still dish out memorable moments with friends.

Nov 13, 2023Modern Warfare 3 is quite a tough game to judge. Its campaign is good old Call of Duty fun, even if it's too short, and the game's multiplayer is a great time - built on the solid foundations of two different versions of Modern Warfare 2. However, Zombies is a complete miss this year, and the admittedly-great multiplayer is based on past triumphs more than anything else. If you love playing some CoD multiplayer every year then MW3 is another solid entry in that regard, but if you usually stick to one of the other modes or are looking for a more complete Call of Duty experience, we don't recommend picking this one up just yet. Either wait for a price drop, or bide your time in anticipation of its eventual arrival on Xbox Game Pass.
-
Nov 15, 2023A disappointing campaign and a Zombies mode lacking in focus makes this a hackneyed Call of Duty entry that those thirsting for more multiplayer action will still enjoy. For anyone who plays for the campaign or loves to blast hordes of undead, however, Modern Warfare 3 is hard to recommend.
-
Nov 20, 2023Modern Warfare 3 makes you feel that it is planned as a DLC from the get-go. Unfortunately, it is a huge disappointment with its very short campaign and mundane multiplayer mods.
-
Nov 17, 2023Cobbled together from parts of previous games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is one of the worst entries into the series. From the vapid campaign with those woeful DMZ-like open combat missions to the Multiplayer that relies on nostalgia for anything interesting and the toothless, uninspired Zombies mode that is just an awkward version of DMZ, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III absolutely nowhere near justifies its $70 price tag.
-
Nov 13, 2023Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is without a doubt the lowest point in this rebooted Modern Warfare series, and one of (if not the) lowest points in the series altogether, but that's not just because of the limited and rushed content, it's also because Call of Duty as a whole has become a user nightmare.

Nov 16, 2023This campaign for Call of Duty Modern Warfare III does not cut the mustard. Lasting only 4 hours, it is far too short, and the storytelling is not as good as in the last few games. The visuals are as polished as ever, and the classic missions are well staged and packed with action. Unfortunately, the new type of open-ended missions introduced this year is barely convincing and is far too present in the campaign. It is quite hard to recommend buying the game at full price for someone who only focuses on the single-player experience, and you cannot help feeling that it is more of an extension of Modern Warfare II than a title in its own right. The same is true of the Zombie mode, which is closer to a variant of the DMZ mode than a truly original experience. Fortunately, the multiplayer side of things picks up the slack, with sixteen very good maps at launch, and some welcome in-game improvements.
