    Would not suggest buying this game in 2021 for pc.

    Multiplayer: To explain all the bugs in the game, you should have played it. It would take hours, to write it all down. Additionally you waste about 25-30% of your time in waiting for lobbies. Thank god, I missed MW. The good old times are gone.

    Based on multiplayer and Zombies mode, I must say, that the game is unplayable. It is full f bugs, I loose connection several times a day. In Zombie mode I have not reached a higher level than seven before the game crashed or lost server connection. I play since 2007 but this is the worst version ever. Playing should be fun... This is not funny at all. But as long as "Bug-i-vision" makes money wit COD points selling nothing will change, I think. Maybe this is the reason, why there are no patches or server changings for a longer time now. MONEY ROLLS!

    This game is a steaming pile of **** The only reason i give this game a 1 is because it has a 'ok' campaign. The game, almost 1 year later is still broken as hell, I've never played a match without a terrible bug. The gun play feels to clunky and slow for the fast gameplay it trys to have. The graphics also look like **** compared to MW 2019. Now you can choose loadouts and upgrade stuff you don't need to, instead of just being able to hop into shadows of evil in bo3 with the boys. The Easter eggs are boring as hell also. The zombies mode has turned into his weird mesh of nothing good, and arguably the worst part of this game. We cant forget about the size either, over 110 gigabytes! A combination of heavy SBMM, OP guns, sweats, tryhards, boosters, reverse boosters, horrible servers, bugs, terrible maps, and a plethora of other things I could go on about make one the WORST multiplayer experiences I've ever had. I'd rather be playing Infinite Warfare or Ghosts than this crap.Gets a 1 for the campaign. The multiplayer of this godforsaken game is absolutely TERRIBLE!     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To summarize how I feel about this game, I will summarize it with a meme. "Our expectations for you were low, but HOLY F*CK!" The campaign is short and boring, and the fan favorite characters Mason and Woods, aren't even the main focus. Instead you play as "yourself" codenamed as "Bell" and do random missions that wouldn't even grab the attention of a 5 year old with adhd. Then with the multiplayer, there is only 6 maps at launch. Six, that's it. A  couple weeks later and they finally add Nuketown. Somehow they thought it was a good idea to take a map that was a launch map in every other Black Ops title, and make it a bonus if you buy the game by December 3rd, but not actually make it playable until November 24th when the game released on the 10th of November. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. The 6 launch maps are pure trash. Not a single one is good or fun. The weapon balance for the game? Well that's out the window. If you wanna do well with the horrendous SBMM, then you better slap on a SMG or a Tactical rifle such as the Aug or M16. Because every else is a joke. Hell, at this point this game isn't the clown, it's the entire circus.… Expand

    The multiplayer is ruined by snipers with aim assist. Before you see them you are dead. Not to mention how bad the game feels and runs as a whole. DO NOT BUY.

I've played call of duty since it fist started off and I've finally reached the point where I won't put any more of my money in, this game should be a free to play game with an optional $20 to $30 pricetag for the campaign. I don't want to pay full price for a game only to be bombarded by pop-ups for cosmetics and a season pass, I'll go play fortnite or apex for that where I don't have to pay any extra money unless I want to. It's time for call of duty to drift away into the sunset, I only wish Activision would have let it drift peacefully instead of strangling it dry for every last drop of cash it had left. This game is 100% deserving of this zero and is at the bottom of my all time game list, and sadly not even the zombies can save this one.… Expand

Once again running through multiplayer levels with doors wide open. Sluggish if not snail like movements.     Super bad frame rate (interlacing). When you turn to look you literally see the frames as you’re turning. I’m on Xbox Series X. Modern Warfare does not have this problem. This is an immense downgrade from Modern Warfare 2019. I can’t believe I let my friends convince me to buy this game. Worst COD I’ve ever played.

    4.5 rubles, for constant bugs, crashes from the game EVERY session, inability to connect to the lobby. Also, without installing shaders, which lasts about 20 minutes, you will not be able to play from the word at all. And often it freezes, and you have to restart. The game's campaign is good, with a well-developed plot, great style, but few hours, which upsets me.

    Please don’t buy this game, it’s just another way of steal from activision, only have 8 maps for multiplayer , the zombies mode made a step back with the elimination of a lot of things and the campaign is basic

    I can't finish campaign, game keeps crashing (five attempts) in mission End of the Line on XsX. I have a lot crashes during the previous missions but in this one I can't go forward. I paid a full price for a low quality product which is broken, after few hours of playing. Shame on you Activision.

    Compared to other CoDs, the fewest MP maps at the start. Just as much camping as in MW but less movement. Cod Black OPs feels as if you had ordered MW on wish.

But boy oh boy was I disappointed. Let's start with multiplayer.I have never hated a call of duty game quite like this one. The zombies is so ridiculously easy it might as well be a toddler's game. This game is the most rng based, no skill, kid-oriented game ever. I was so excited that a new black ops game was coming out, and it featured one of the best things about MW: gunsmith. But boy oh boy was I disappointed. Let's start with multiplayer.

    Starting with create a class, I have never seen customization that was so unnecessary like this. Gunsmith is not gunsmith. 95% of the attachments don't have an significant tradeoffs, which is the main point of gunsmith. Every single attachment adds little and doesn't take away anything, so what's the point? It MW, if you wanted to quickscope, you could dedicate all 5 attachments on your sniper to aim down sight speed. In black ops cold war, there's 1 attachment that helps aim down sight speed, and it only helps 5%. I personally love quickscoping, and this game is insulting. Just ask faze jev. The only reason to ever pick a sniper is if you want to be a hardscoping **** in search and destroy. If you want to quickscope, load up the wall hacks because your gonna have to pre aim a second in advance, without even knowing the person is there. Or you could use the Pellington, which is less consistent that the mk2 at 5,000 meters away. All of this ties back to Treyarch making this game for toddlers, because you don't have to put any thought into your attachments, and you don't have to worry about quickscopers, who would normally **** of little timmy. Now let's talk about time to kill and skill based matchmaking. If you don't want to sweat your **** balls off every single match, you better either play with your **** friend or pick a different game. It's so **** strong that you'll have 3 straight 0.5 k/d ratio games, then one game with a 3.0 k/d, then its back to 0.5. And this is even worse with time to kill. Call of duty typically has fast time to kill, with the exception of black ops 4. The problem with how long the time to kill is that if you engage more than one person at once, you're **** dead. In old games, you could react fast, laser one, take cover, and kill the other. But in this game, especially with how slow aim down sight speed is, you'll just **** die. Because of this, if you're not camping, you're not getting kills. Guess what's easier than playing run and gun: camping. Stop catering to **** nine year olds Treyarch. So what we have now is a multiplayer where customization means nothing, you can't quickscope, if you play well the game punishes you, and if you don't camp your not getting kills. Fun, right?

    Now lets talk about zombies. Me personally, I have played black ops one, black ops two, black ops 3, world war 2, and black ops cold war. Typically in tryarch zombies, if you go down in co-op, the only way to get back up is if your teammates complete the round or revive you. Either way, you lose all of your perks. If you bleed out completely and have to wait for the round to end, you'll lose your weapons as well. In solo, the only way to be revived is through quick revive, with some exceptions, but mostly only quick revive. Well in black ops cold war, you're pretty much invisible. So basically what your gonna do is spawn in with the knife, which can one shot zombies un packed unit around 14. Fair, right? Then your gonna get the gallo off the wall for 1200 points which is pretty much a wonder weapon. Off the wall. For 1200 points. If you play about 5 games you'll have enough atherium crystals to max out aether shroud, jug, and quick rievive. With these things maxed out you pretty much take 5 bottles of steroids. 250 health and aether shroud is the ultimate save me item. With tier 3 aether shroud you are teleported forward and aren't targeted by zombies for 10 seconds. So basically if you get cornered, you're fine. It has cool down yes, so you could argue if you get corened twice, you die right? Nope. Get yourself a chopper gunner with some salvage, which you'll be bathing in by round 15. Zombies won't target you while you use it, so another save me item. Not to mention you get to **** blast zombies with a beast in the sky. Ok, so if you use both, your dead right? Wrong again. Go buy yourself a self revive, which cost the same salvage you'll be rolling in by round 15. So if you go down, you can revive yourself. But you lose your perks right? Wrong, wrong, wrong. You lose 1. Only 1. And you can use this setup in co op as well, so basically there's infinite high rounds. And once you get to round 20, which isn't hard, getting the ray gun and die gun becomes incredibly easy. So basically any old noob can go in and become invisible, get infinite high rounds, and they won't even break sweat. They better release some maps that make it a whole lot harder, because its not fun when the game hands you everything on a silver platter.

    So all in all, black ops cod war takes the skill out of call of duty.    … Expand

    Too many good review for such a poor game. I would give it a 2 but it doesn't deserve the rating its at. The campaign isn't even playable on xbox. The cutscenes do not load and show missing textures. The zombies is very basic. The multiplayer is worse than mw. How did they do such an awful job with this one.

    I don't write reviews but when I do its to rage. This game feels unpolished and clunky, the multiplayer maps are poorly designed and far too easy to spawnkill on and they only have 6 maps available on launch. the only redeeming quality would be the zombies mode and even then it lacks content

    El sbmm es lo principal, no es divertido y todas las partidas son aburridas, malas, los mapas son malos, la conexion por el sbmm destruye por completo la experiencia.

    Por otra parte los campers, no es divertido el juego ya que esta lleno de campers escondidos como ratitas al igual que el sbmm destrute la experiencia creando frustracion y aburrimiento, es el segundo peor multijugador que    El sbmm es lo principal, no es divertido y todas las partidas son aburridas, malas, los mapas son malos, la conexion por el sbmm destruye por completo la experiencia.

    Por otra parte los campers, no es divertido el juego ya que esta lleno de campers escondidos como ratitas al igual que el sbmm destrute la experiencia creando frustracion y aburrimiento, es el segundo peor multijugador que he jugado, y eso que he jugado desde black ops 1 Lo unico que rescata este juego son los zombies y la campaña pero el multijugador es pesimo.
    Otra cosa es que es juego esta incompleto, yo pague por un juego bien hecho y con contenido, hay fallas de texturas, bugs a montones, errores de juego, conexion malisima, servidores malisimos, te caes del mapa,no te aparece el arma, te aparece el menu en plena partida,etc, no lo recomiendo para nada    … Expand

    If you want to know my frustration and disappointment, compare the amount of content in this sad excuse of a game with the content released in ANY OTHER black ops. You'll understand. This game was released with the wrong intentions. They basically said, "just buy the game full price even though the games not finished, and we'll think about adding stuff as we move on".

    Do you want to know how sad the amount of content is in this game? the store has ONE pack and nothing else. I paid $65 for an empty store. Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan of these stores because ever since they came out, game development has no longer been about gameplay and content; now it's all about money, skins, and looking cool...(2K)...

    I'm not a fan of where game development seems to be heading in the near future. Back in the good old days before 10 and 12-year-olds had smartphones and credit cards (360, PS3), a game was released with all its content. I didn't mind the map packs or small extra DLC's. At least the FULL GAME was released. Now they release 33% of a game, have you pay full price, and release items as time goes on so that they keep you in this loop of coming back to the game when they add something so you can always be entitled to make a purchase. We might as well just start buying half made cars. No brakes, just the gas pedal. Come back in a month for an update. That itself should show you how wrong this is. This is an ongoing issue with no regulations. Something has to be done about this, I just don't know what or how. If you read this before buying the game, I hope I saved you $65. Speaking of maps, the lack of quantity is shocking and it would seem revolve around the same three. Character customization is an after thought with such little work put into it that nearly every player just uses the default model making the loading screens showing your team feel even more ridiculous. Get a tank and get blown up in seconds (they’re apparently as weak as driving a Honda Accord into war), get a boat and get blown up in seconds, just show up and...well, you get the point. This game should have never been released in this state and I don’t think they can even fix it. There’s just nothing good to say here but they certainly sold a bajillion copies and will think they have a great hit over at corporate I’m sure. Its the most buggy one I've played, guns are incredibly unbalanced, and the worst thing is the skill based match making. you win 2 games then you're tossed into a lobby of master prestige for the next 5 games. cant turn it off. the aim assist is broken. id save your money and not waste your time playing this COD.

    Pc score for this game is unavailable for a reason.... I have a 5800x CPU and 3080 GPU. There is zero reason for there to be crashes this frequently on my end, thus it must be a TERRIBLY optimized game. Even a COD pros are crashing frequently. A triple A game should not have this issue.

    Absolute trash. I've never liked pvp in a cod game since black ops 2 and Mw3. The zombies mode is also an extreme disappointment lacking any kind of creativity or substance. The single zombies map and half assed Easter egg made me return the game before season 1 of the modern warfare continuation Happened. This "game" is not worth $60 and isn't worth my time.

And all of this I saw within an hour of playing . Their developers have gone dark and never answer questions or interact with the community, the game took 50% of my storage on my Xbox, the battle pass is a rip off of modern warfare's style, in fact it's combined WITH it, so it's mooching off of another games success. Now as for zombies, the map is fun, enjoyable and is the only reason I have the game still installed, I don't wanna reinstall 250gigs every time I wanna play zombies. My only gripe is the glitches and the fact that there's only one map.     Without doubt the worst call of duty in the franchise! SBMM is killing call of duty, huge step back from modern warfare.

    If u dont want to buy battle pass in-game store you will be crushed by those who bought it. And if u dont buy it with 2400g you will be crushed by players who bought it till u get SMG from it. Cause they just ad a new SMG that`s way better then others until it`s nerfed.     Net code of servers is worse than in MW. TTK is just a joke. Cross-platform is pain cause if u play vs consoles - boyz will get deadlock aim assist.

    The beating heart of the Call of Duty experience in terms of multiplayer feels like a solid return to the classic formula, but abundant technical issues make this a worrying stumble into a new generation.

    Overall, despite some performance issues, I rather enjoyed the mercenaries, spies and private eyes campaign that is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. I’d like to see the development team get a chance to really flesh out a longer campaign in this style, but you know…the call of duty.

    With an entertaining campaign, great online opportunities and panic-stricken zombie slaughter, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is an impressive package. Still, we can not help but feel disappointed. The best parts of the campaign could have been developed much more and the online modes feel well stripped down. Cold War still impresses, but with more development time, it could have been so much more than "this year's Call of Duty game".
