    A title with so much potential, Blood Bowl 3 fumbles the ball in the final minute.

    Blood Bowl 3 was lackluster at launch due to many problems, but the core gameplay was solid and could be fun once you got past all of the issues that will hopefully be fixed shortly in the future with some patches. Most of the aforementioned issues can be patched later, but the version I played on felt like it did not change much from its prequel.

    It frustrates me that I have to leave Blood Bowl 3 with a middling review, but despite the solid core gameplay, everything around it frustrates me too much for me to continue playing. These issues may be fixed in the future, but at the moment I struggle to recommend this game to fans of Warhammer, strategy, or possibly even the more hardcore Blood Bowl fan.

    Blood Bowl III has nothing here to recommend it for newcomers or veterans of the board game when there is a more complete package available in its predecessor.

    We dreamed of tasting a great vintage, but apparently, vinegar seems to be what is on tap right now. As it stands, Blood Bowl 3 is unworthy of the magnificent board game it embodies. However, the title has a lot of potential thanks to the field experience and its new official rules, making it still as convincing and fun to play, all wrapped up in a brilliant graphical and technical redesign. Cyanide still has significant work to do. Although the French studio has already rectified some details such as customisation, they will have to go to great lengths to convince fans to choose this opus over Blood Bowl 2.

    Buggy mess that is nearly unplayable. A large number of skills (e.g shadowing) are completely bugged and don’t work. The UI is almostBuggy mess that is nearly unplayable. The UI is almost impossible to use on console due to changes and poor joystick acceleration (e.gI can’t get the inspect icon over players skills - which in BB2 I could do easily with the Dpad) and it’s very hard to select and move players accurately. The online options take over 5 minutes to load a league name (including quick play comp) and the game seems to use the server for every action so navigating the UI involves constant loading. The monetisation system is a joke with single use cosmetics for predatory amounts of money…. Half of which are bugged and blank on the store anyway. Skip it. Or at least wait 12 months.     The AI doesn’t make any effort to play and just lets the clock run down which is infuriating and the commentators repeat the same thing over and over which makes you want to pull yours ear off.

    Graphic wise it’s very good but I would not recommend this game, I unfortunately bought it in digital form so cannot get my money back.

    DO NOT BUY THIS GAME - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
