May 25, 2025Bleach Rebirth of Souls is reminiscent of the cel-shaded fighting games that were all the rage in the early 2000s. While the sometimes redundant and somewhat complex approach to combat may be surprising at first, the game quickly reveals the depth of its content with a roster of 32 characters and a Campaign mode that retraces a large part of the manga. The technical aspect, on the other hand, is behind, and we should therefore not expect a title that meets current visual codes. Thirty years after Toshinden, Tamsoft is giving the Bleach license a boost in video games, and that can only please fans.

May 13, 2025Bleach: Rebirth of Souls had the potential to be a great game for fans of the anime, but it falls short in several key areas. Way to many cutscenes disrupts the flow of gameplay, and the combat, while solid, lacks the depth and excitement needed to keep me wanting more. It’s a game that might appeal to die-hard Bleach fans just to try it out, but for others, it may not be worth the time. Watch the anime instead, it’s so much better!
