    Dice ruined this franchise. I am extremely disappointed that the way they treated us games like 2nd hand garbage then started to blame other games for their flop. It has fun moments though.

    One of the worst multiplayer shooters ever made. The worst game Dice has ever made. Horrible spawns, everyone runs around and bunny hops like gerbils, The net code is so bad it feels like you take 2 shots yet it takes half a mag to kill someone. You shoot your gun once and everyone knows your location. The teams are always so unbalanced that one team almost always steamrolls the other. TheOne of the worst multiplayer shooters ever made.     Battlefield 2042 is very much so underrated. The game is extremely fun. While it has it's issues, it has great maps and great gameplay.

    Después de Battlefield 1 y Battlefront 2, no entiendo como Dice ha podido lanzar esto: Roto, lleno de fallos visuales y poco inspirado. Sin modo campaña, con un multijugador con mapas ridiculamente grandes y mal diseñados. Una decepción en todos los aspectos.

    Plz help me electronic arts are keeping in a sex dungeon making me play this amazing game (god awful) end every time i die they make me drop the soap :( i don’t even mind the slave part its just that they’re making me play this terrible game. Help me.

    Played recently (season 4), outstanding game (audio, graphics and massive battles). Cross-play really helped to find game faster. 128 players on one map is badass! Thanks developers!

    After many games in Conquest mode (64 players). I can say with confidence that this is still Battlefield we liked back in the day, which has become better compared to season 1.

Also, we have an interesting Portal mode that can allow us to play on the maps of past parts with weapons from different eras of Battlefield.

    I think, as some players have said, that you should give this game another chance, especially since season 4 is coming out soon, and this is a good reason to get back into the game and try to play a couple of games.    … Expand

    I'm honestly surprised to hear about all the issues but can honestly say I have experienced none of them and have been playing since the start of early access. I definitely admit there's a lack of features and I really hope they iron out all the issues everyone is experiencing. I have had a lot of fun switching between Xbox one and series x version of the game on my series x.     Battlefield 2042 its were i've spended almost more than 1.000h and i enjoyed every single one. I understand that lunch game was terrible but now, its battlefield.

    Like BF5 this game has a lot of potential to be a great and fun game. The gun play is great and it's as chaotic as every pervious BF game. It's just a shame that the game is moving into a wrong direction, by removing core features that make a battlefield game a battlefield game, and trying to monetize the game instead of focussing on what players really want.     I downloaded the game because it's part of of xbox's game pass, would I have paid the full price, I would have been very disappointed. With BFV and BF2042 moving towards a different direction I think the franchise is losing a lot of BF fans, including me. So I will keep playing BF4 for as long as the few servers are available.    … Expand

    Over time, Battlefield 2042 has become what it should have been on launch day. If you are influenced by reviews, forget them and experience this game just once to understand how an online game should be!

    After several updates, this game is good now. You should give it a try! Graphics are nice, new weapons and characters give more options to player. After playing mw2 for weeks and getting back to battlefield, I can say that I enjoy bf 2042 than mw2.

    Played at launch and was blown away. Not by how good the game was, but by how insanely bad everything about the game was. Got a refund, and never thought about it again. It recently got added to Game Pass and it's undeniably much better than it was, but is still quite easily one of the worst Battlefield games ever. It's just not very enjoyable. There is fun to be had here, for sure, inPlayed at launch and was blown away. Not by how good the game was, but by how insanely bad everything about the game was. Got a refund, and never thought about it again. It recently got added to Game Pass and it's undeniably much better than it was, but is still quite easily one of the worst Battlefield games ever. It's just not very enjoyable. There is fun to be had here, for sure, in shorter bursts.     Main problem as Xbox players is that there's no Xbox player match available while cross play off.. fingers crossed

    I'd call it a comeback!

    My late 2022 review of this game is basically that this game came back in a big way. They have supported the heck out of this game (pulling the Titanfall/Apex team over to work on it and fix its faults). There are tons of new maps and mods, the battle passes are actually pretty good. The game works and plays really well now and they are getting rid of the hero    I'd call it a comeback!

If you are looking for a GREAT battlefield experience, this game is now there and worth your time and money (especially with it now selling for $20 in some places).

    This game's comeback however, does not excuse how bad the launch was, it was in all honesty a broken game with no content at release. Publishers have to start forcing games out like this. With that said this is a great game to come back to now if you want a great battlefield experience on next gen.    … Expand

    Mix and match hot mess. Only the name is battlefield gameplay is terrible bugs and glitches. It's like usual battlefields clone done by indie Devs. certainly not and AAA game

    It has the worst maps in all of Battlefield, hardly any weapons, the operators are cringey and out of place in a game with 120 players, and it's insanely glitchy. I    DICE should be so ashamed.     I do really like the new plus system, some of the new operator abilities like the grapple, and the graphics (sometimes) are incredible, but the little good there is, is surrounded in **** It is worth noting however, that they are improving it.     Honest to God, I will NEVER EVER pre order ANY game from DICE and any other studio under EA. Including the Dead Space Remastered version. They are not make video games any more. That are packaging it and use it for SCAM. We should file complaint / lawsuit to business agency for their DECEVING act. This is NOT American!!!

    Compared to older titles there is so much lacking in this game
    The amount of core features missing is absurd
    For a more detailed list i would suggest visitting the subreddits of battlefield 2042 and search for the top post of all time

    The recent season 1 update was okay but it could be wayyyy better. It lacks on guns and they only added 1 map the game is getting better but it’s quite not there yet.

    The game is definitely in a better state than it was at launch and on next gen it currently plays great with very few bugs. This game I think definitely deserve at least a second chance.

    Играл в нее на "бесплатных выходных", на момент игры были стандартные для БФ проблемы, это куча графических багов. Так же было скудно с вооружением, на сколько я понял до сих пор так же скудно. Но больше всего разочаровал кроссплей с ПК и отсутствие поддержки клавиатуры и мыши как в COD например, от чего собственно постоянно выхватывал от игроков с ПК.     lacks any destruction, specialists are cringe and character movement feels badly designed . Specialist abilities can be fun, weather hazards are really cool and the actual gunplay feels satisfying. Theres a lack of much content if u really want to dive in and the maps at times feel too empty with little cover.

    Destruction is still cool, and in the end I have to give the creators credit for the fact that the much marketing-washed akedo has its moments. Everything else that made a good Battlefield is completely missing, and that chase for record-breaking size or player count is really a poor substitute for well-designed maps, rich content in the form of game modes, and certainly no substitute for the original class system that the gameplay has always relied on in the first place.     Battlefield 2042 is a huge disappointment for gamers and the Battlefield franchise. Had this been the product of an indie developer, then this might be a different story as it would be understandable how a game like this could be the product of an independent studio that doesn’t have enormous corporate backing. Instead, EA pumped more resources into creating a CGI film that acts as the only real source of storyline context than ensuring the game was going to live up to the enormous amount of hype they were trying to create. I hate saying such negative things in my reviews, but when a game developer can’t be bothered to even try and live up to it’s own legacy, then I have to call it as I see it and for that very reason, I don’t recommend this game. Not even the nostalgia or temptation of ‘Battlefield Portal’ is enough to save this game from itself.

    Battlefield 2042 absolutely should have been pushed back by EA and DICE to some point in 2022. Instead, the version of this game that is currently available has been virtually unplayable for me at times since first releasing. Even beyond this, though, some of the key design changes that DICE has made in Battlefield 2042 don't feel for the better. Rather than improving on the core Battlefield experience that fans loved with Battlefield 3, 4, or Bad Company 2, 2042 is a bloated husk of its former self that is trying to recapture some semblance of its previous glory. As a fan that has been playing this series for well over a decade, Battlefield 2042 is a massive disappointment that I struggle to think is even worth saving.
