    This game is the worst of the series. There is no balance, there is no opitimization, there is no content. There are many bugs, glitches, freezes, crashes, fps drops. If u want to waste your money and be mad at you - go ahead --> buy battlefield 2042. As XSX player - usually i cannot finish even one round. All the time crashes, freezes, slide shows. Its totally unplayable.

    So, second post I’ve ever made and I feel as if they are needed. Large corporations are taking advantage of so many games, like this one. I have loved almost every battlefield, but this one. It is awful, and I hate to say that. No campaign which is fine if multiplayer is good, but the multiplayer feels as if it’s and older sloppier version of the last one. I thought it can’t be that badSo, second post I’ve ever made and I feel as if they are needed. Large corporations are taking advantage of so many games, like this one.     This game has no potential. It has zero replay ability. I played for 2 hours. Instantly bored on the same 2 and only 2 game modes. Absolute **** No team death match? No domination? No rush? No nothing? The portal mode is just old games with modern graphics. Trash

Anybody that gives an unfinished broken game at launch a good review is feeding into the **** which is most of the gaming industry these days where games are being unfished at release. It is obvious that Battlefield 2042 needed more development time or EA/Dice should have been working on this game for the past three years which I find hard to believe.     Heute war der letzte Tag an dem ich dieses Franchise unterstützt/ gespielt habe.

    Crashes Xbox Series X frequently. Squads and loadouts don’t matter. Few guns and poor map design. MTX business model in an unfinished full price game. Have been playing all of the battlefield games since bf2 and have been an avid fan of the franchise. Wasn’t a huge fan of 1 or V, but I had high hopes for this game. Hugely disappointed, save your money.

    Imagine you buy a brand new phone and find out that it doesn't turn on. you bring you phone back to the phone store to get it fixed. But every time you do, they only fix one thing at a time. Now also imagine the phone is completely broken and you spend ungodly amounts of time to get it fixed,also imagine you spent a small fortune to get it before everyone else

    Unplayable. When I try to play the game I get constant error messages. And the few times I have got on I can't pick my loadout. Long time fan and I hate this game in its current state.

    This game is not battlefield. Complete trash compared to Bf1 and Bf5. This is a call of duty wannabe with hero shooter aspects. If you get in a gunfight all you do is straph side to side super fast it's cheesy. TTK is extremely long especially with everyone running armor plates. Gunplay is sad and unrewarding. The hit detection is non-existent at times and there's plenty of times I kill proe without even having my sight near them. The weapon bloom is overdone I get having small inconsistent shots but these inconsistencies are just wild and make at range engagement awful. Some reason if you tap fire your gun on full auto it recoiless like crazy but if you put your gun on single fire and shoot it super fast there's no recoil it makes no sense. The specialist are lame their quips are cringe worthy and not having team uniforms takes away from reaction time, takes away from immersion and just makes the game look like a worse call of duty. The graphics are awful. Maps are bad little detail and no cover. Everything is to speed apart all you do is run around to die by a tank or helicopter. The helis are super op by the way with infinite flares. Nvehicles no longer need to repair themselves and they no longer run out of ammo. There's no leaderboard no scoreboard no clans nothing from previous games. Even after a third update the game still resets your classes. Worst game I've ever paid for this game should be free and even then I would want it… Expand

    This is what a game looks like when it looses it's soul. Sad that this franchise has fallen so far from it's roots and what made the game unique. Now it's just like any other copypaste hero shooter but just worse.

    Hopefully some day there are wise and passionate people in the decision making department of this frachise who knows what fans of the series wants and how to deliver it

Even for a BF game, the maps are too open and filled with wasted space that you are expected to run across and hope that you don't get picked off along the way. The spawn points have a great tendency to put you in the line of sight of the opposing team so good luck even getting to the point where you sprint for your life. I have had little time to even try and learn the maps because you are constantly being overrun (by what I assume are mostly bots) so early stages of the game are a steady mix of dying and waiting for respawn. The UI is confusing poorly laid out at all levles and the fact that you have multiple operators but only 4 loadouts is baffling. It is clear that they deliberately did not include a scorecard for matches because they don't want you to actually see how poorly you are doing in each and every match. The fact that they give you 10,000 XP for playing your first match of the game is further proof that they are begging you to come back and play again the next day.    … Expand

    Not a great game. Needed at least another year. Its sound design and graphics are mostly a downgrade from the previous games. The weapons don't feel anywhere near as good as the previous games either. The time to kill in this game is also too long which is why I play in milsim servers on Battlefield Portal.     Overall, this game is very bad and my least favourite in the franchise. However, there is some fun to be had just not in any of the modes that DICE made. I highly recommend going to the portal and searching for milsim servers. They are a lot of fun. I wouldn't recommend buying this game at full price because it simply isn't worth it, when its on sale you should pick it up though. There is some fun to be had.    … Expand

    A complete disaster, this game is not playable. You have to go through lots of bugs, glitches, errors. There is a huge lack of content, the soundtrack is awful and the portal mode is broken... I've played Battlefield 1,2,3,4,5 and Bad Company 2 and this is the worst of them.

And for me, personaly worse think, is they didnt told us any damn plans for future. 3 months of big fixing witch brings even more new bugs, or old glitches come back.     Broken and dull, was a die hard Battlefield fan before this game. Game matches not fun, too many people, maps are way too big. I payed full price and played it for 2 days, don't waste your money like I did.

    I've encountered a game breaking bug where I can't select my loadout before entering a match. This happens every other match and I have to restart the game to get it to work and sometimes that doesn't even work. This game is clearly unfinished and shouldn't be sold and I advise everyone who is thinking about buying this game to either wait or just forget this game even exists.     Vanguard is bad. I thought that BF will shut cod mouth. but they did such a big mistake with publish this game. i had fun ok but it wasnt worth 70$. Performance is bad. Grahpic is fine but i feel that im playing in alpha version. they tried to make something else but they were lost in this. sad dice

The Season Pass not starting for over 6 months is criminal. I would have NEVER paid for this game knowing even 1/4 if what I know now. Painful lesson.… Expand

I cant check the leaderboard mid game to see if I'm doing well or not. You cant even find matches that fast, Battlefield 5 has more player than Battlefield 2042 due to how bad this game is, if you want a good shooter game than you have to waitThank god i had this game refunded. The maps are massive swathes of empty nothingness with the odd structure here and there. The worst design choice in this entire game has to be the Specialists. DICE's attempt to make a cash printer a la CoD and R6:S's Operators. The Specialists completely and utterly destroy everything that is battlefield. Teamwork is out the window thanks to their introduction, map control based on class/vehicle makeup is also completely out the window.

    Wasted my money. I thought the beta was horrible bit I thought it was connection problems when it was fuiod it was fun. Wich is now worse. Battfield 5 felt better I presented the moment and one on 1 revive mechanic animation.

    Like BF5 this game has a lot of potential to be a great and fun game. The gun play is great and it's as chaotic as every pervious BF game. It's just a shame that the game is moving into a wrong direction, by removing core features that make a battlefield game a battlefield game, and trying to monetize the game instead of focussing on what players really want.     I downloaded the game because it's part of of xbox's game pass, would I have paid the full price, I would have been very disappointed. With BFV and BF2042 moving towards a different direction I think the franchise is losing a lot of BF fans, including me. Horrible spawns, everyone runs around and bunny hops like gerbils, The net code is so bad it feels like you take 2 shots yet it takes half a mag to kill someone. The worst game Dice has ever made. Horrible spawns, everyone runs around and bunny hops like gerbils, The net code is so bad it feels like you take 2 shots yet it takes half a mag to kill someone.     Destruction is still cool, and in the end I have to give the creators credit for the fact that the much marketing-washed akedo has its moments. Everything else that made a good Battlefield is completely missing, and that chase for record-breaking size or player count is really a poor substitute for well-designed maps, rich content in the form of game modes, and certainly no substitute for the original class system that the gameplay has always relied on in the first place.     Battlefield 2042 is a huge disappointment for gamers and the Battlefield franchise. Had this been the product of an indie developer, then this might be a different story as it would be understandable how a game like this could be the product of an independent studio that doesn’t have enormous corporate backing. Instead, EA pumped more resources into creating a CGI film that acts as the only real source of storyline context than ensuring the game was going to live up to the enormous amount of hype they were trying to create. I hate saying such negative things in my reviews, but when a game developer can’t be bothered to even try and live up to it’s own legacy, then I have to call it as I see it and for that very reason, I don’t recommend this game. Not even the nostalgia or temptation of ‘Battlefield Portal’ is enough to save this game from itself.

    Battlefield 2042 absolutely should have been pushed back by EA and DICE to some point in 2022. Instead, the version of this game that is currently available has been virtually unplayable for me at times since first releasing. Even beyond this, though, some of the key design changes that DICE has made in Battlefield 2042 don't feel for the better. Rather than improving on the core Battlefield experience that fans loved with Battlefield 3, 4, or Bad Company 2, 2042 is a bloated husk of its former self that is trying to recapture some semblance of its previous glory. As a fan that has been playing this series for well over a decade, Battlefield 2042 is a massive disappointment that I struggle to think is even worth saving.
