How can anyone in their right mind say that Odyssey is better Assassin's Creed game than Valhalla? It's absolutely fine, if you prefer Odyssey more than Valhalla, as a video game. It's very obvious that more people actually like Valhalla way more than Odyssey. It's their best selling PC game of all time! i just feel Ubisoft fans are hiding in the shadows. They are too mature to argue on internet. They don't care about pointless drama. They just want to enjoy games. But i feel like sometimes Ubisoft fans should fight back stronger. Yeah it's cool you praise these things on reddit, but there's way more important sites and metacritic is one of them.

No youtuber never mentions some random reddit "praise post" but they always show metacriti'c user score and these videos get 100 000's on views. This is manipulation 101. I know it's pathetic, because metacritic user score is most meaningless thing on this planet, but fact is, that these people are using it. It's just bunch of losers, usually some tasteless crackwatch-reddit users who hate on Ubisoft in general. They don't even play their games, they don't even care about their games. They are just pathetic, whiny losers and nothing else.

When Far Cry 6 comes out in few month, i guarantee, bunch of Ubisoft haters (who will never buy Far Cry 6 btw) start giving it 0/10 scores and i feel like this time Ubisoft fans really, really need to fight back. It has gone too far. Cdproject red released most talentless game in 20 years and these people still try to praise it, while hating on Ubisoft's perfectly decent games that actually work. Like i said, these scores don't matter at all, they never did, never will, but i feel like Ubisoft fans (and there are millions) should for once actually try to fight back, even if it's just to annoy these haters. Even that would be worth it.

It has nothing to do with company. Ubisoft has made lots of games i don't care about at all (Breakpoint, Division 2, For Honor, Crew 2) and if Valhalla would be one of these bad games i would ignore it as well, but that's not the case. Valhalla simply isn't bad game. It's just not and nothing, absolutely nothing will change that fact.

Better graphics than Elden Ring, that's for sure. Overall this game surprised me, it's not best AC game, but it has more to offer than Odyssey or Origins. Story is not most interesting thing in this game, but open world and exploration makes this game solid. I still wish they would go back to Black Flag/Unity era tho.

This is Assassin's Creed game, just like Black Flag is Assassin's Creed game. Just cause you have more things to explore, more activities, more enemies than AC 1, doesn't mean it's not Assassin's Creed. Literally same could be said about GTA. "GTA 5 is not GTA anymore because you can do way more stuff than in GTA 1 and GTA 2". Yes it is! Deal with it!

Now it's solid open-world AC game, but sadly it's not better than Black Flag. I just wish story/mission design was more interesting or unique. Black Flag had all kinds of unique mission designs and also story was better. In Valhalla missions aren't that interesting, but there's still many fun ones. But true star of Valhalla is it's open world and freedom to do whatever you feel like. That's what was missing from AC 1 for me, because these games can simply be so much more than just generic assassination games. AC is not and should not be Hitman. AC should be ALWAYS compared to games like GTA or Red Dead Redemption. You can do so much more in these games than just the basic story stuff and that same logic should apply to AC and most people seem to understand that. It seems to be minority who complains that AC is not so linear anymore. Most people seem to like that freedom and more activities. This open world is there for a reason! Might as well fill that open world with content and that's what Ubisoft did in both Black Flag and Valhalla, even Unity and Syndicate. That is the right direction.

Love being a viking. Very diverse quests and skill levelling. The graphics are breathtaking and gameplay is much more refined of previous AC games.

XP boost in store magically appeared in store month after original reviews. Enemies scaling implemented in latest patch, that cannot be turned of, makes leveling up pointless.

I could never have expected a game so wonderful, so gorgeous, beautiful and well, incredible. What was right in Origins and Odyssey, Valhalla kept. What was wrong, was thrown away and replaced by so, sooo much more. The combat is insanely brutal and engaging, the world is massive and the story is breathtaking. Stunning looking game on the Series X but alas a game mired by extensive graphical and game breaking bugs. A perfect score is not far off if it could only have been bug and glitch free. The characters, the voice acting, the music, the gameplay loop, it's all far far above previous Assassin's Creed's, just a little tweaking on the length of the game and the pacing and it would be 10/10. 140 hours later and it is an experience I will never forget. This game looks Beautiful, the combat is somehow solid, but as much as I played i could only think one thing:
This is a souless game, i know it sounds stupid, but it's like they took the best of the best DEVs but did not care to make something for the player, so may things are annoying that seen they just didnt care about the player

Ubisoft already declared that this game was HUGE HIT and sold almost double the amount of Odyssey, so these fake zeros wont really change anything. These bots should just give up lol. People like this game, deal with it.

I'm usually critical with games, specially new ones, but i can't think of anything from AC Valhalla that stood out to me as "horrible or extremely bad". I actually have so much fun with it. Makes me wonder why they even did Odyssey like they did. It clearly didn't work. I'm not saying it was bad game, it had some good stuff too, but overall Valhalla stands out as superior in basically ever way. AC is finally back!

Assassin's Creed games is basically closest we will ever get to actual time travel. Visiting these old cities and locations is just amazing. Of course it's still fiction, but so is Red Dead Redemption and that's fine. Still close enough.

Ubisoft somehow managed to make really good game in like 2 years, nice. Far Cry 5 had nice graphics, but story was meh and Odyssey was cool at first but overall it was meh. I don't even wanna mention last year's Ubisoft games. Valhalla turns the tables. Hopefully Far Cry 6 continues this trend and they actually stay good, how nice would that be.

It is highly satisfying completing a story arc or traversing the world and finding things that you felt that other players might not have stumbled across due to the nature of the open world and its use of way finders. The lack of load times on Xbox Series S is truly impressive given the nature of environments, landscape, and elements that are present on screen. There were a few issues from characters floating in mid-air, bizarre enemy AI, and straight up freezes, although these were far and few between given the scope of it all. Intuitive and varied combat help keep things fresh, even if it does take a fair few hours of gameplay to really get going. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a thoroughly enjoyable, open-world RPG that is an absolute must for Xbox owners.

In many aspects Valhalla resembles most of Ubisoft’s games, but fortunately progression feels a lot more natural this time around. The game’s not perfect but I had lots of fun conquering new territories, plundering churches, and pillaging coastal villages while following a mature story and enjoying gorgeous, believable medieval Britain.
