Some people are way too harsh on it, like woah. "Combat wasn't perfect, i had some bugs, few missions were boring BOOM HERE'S YOUR ZERO OUT OF 10". That's ridiculous.

Combat (to me) feels okay, i have read some youtube comments that "combat is so bad", i strongly disagree. I bet they watched some youtube who told that he didn't like combat and now some people just spread false information. It's not perfect, but far from bad. Would recommend.

Maybe little bit early to review it, because i haven't finished main story, but i like it a lot.
I hardly had any interest in missions in Odyssey, but Valhalla is different. Might be one of the best games i have played this year, alongside Doom Eternal.

Its just hilarious to read these hate comments. Most real "Assassin's Creed" fans seem to like this game a lot. I bet 90% of these who gave 0 or 1, never even played it. It's just too obvious. Literally created this account to show my support to this great game. Been fan over 7 years.

Ubisoft really did well with this one, been at least 3 years when i actually enjoyed their games. Odyssey was fine, but boring really fast. Valhalla feels like breath of fresh air.

AC: Valhalla doesn't exactly re-invent the formula, but i think for now it's a good thing.
They fixed what went wrong with Odyssey and brought back missing elements while making story, characters and world better. With next one they need to do some complete overhaul, but Valhalla is good beginning for next era Assassin's Creed games.

Out of Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla -Valhalla is easily best one. Bringing back old elements, deleting ones that were never needed. Very enjoyable AC game.

This game deserves nothing but praise. Yeah it had some bugs at launch, but what games doesn't. Unlike Bethesta, Ubisoft always cleans their games up. In fact, huge patch is coming tomorrow.

Story is surprisingly good, it almost sucks to bring it out like some BIG thing, but Odyssey's story was too "all over the place" and boring, at least to me. It had way too much pointless filler. Valhalla actually innovates a lot and feels more like Black Flag and Unity in 2020.

How can anyone give this amazing, beautiful Assassin's Creed game 0/10?? It's one of the best in the series, so whoever gives it 0 is clearly not a fan and never has been. I bet these people are just envy that this game gets attention. How tasteless and pathetic someone needs to be to give some good game 0/10 just because they are envy? Well now i'm angry, here's my 10/10, take that.

Recomendo a compra.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla restored my faith in Ubisoft. I was really worried after Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It's actually understandable that all their games can't be hits, because they have so many studios working on different games, so no wonder some of these games are great and some are not.

Until Resident Evil Village comes out, it's literally only 2020 game that is still worth playing. Doom Eternal got old very fast and i'm not gonna play Tony Hawk 1+2 Remake 24/7. Cyberpunk 2077 was one of the biggest fails of all time. Resident Evil 3 Remake was too short and boring. Last of Us 2 is one of the worst games ever made. Watch Dogs Legion is pathetic. Final Fantasy VII Remake has no reason to play again, even tho good game. Ghost of Tsushima has one of the worst camera angles in any video game ever, so i just can't play it, but it doesn't seem very interesting anyway. Marvel's Avengers is a joke. Mafia 1 Remake had good story, but has one of the emptiest open-worlds ever, there's absolutely nothing to do or explore.

So what's left? Literally only one game - Assassin's Creed Valhalla! It's not best game ever / not best AC game, but at least it's fun enough and DLC's almost look more interesting than main game, so i'm hyped. There's obviously always option to play older games (i do that literally all the time), but this review is for people who want something new.

I feel it's important to preface this review addressing one of the more common criticisms - that the game lacks the "Assassin's Creed" identity. For me personally, I've never been able to get into the franchise, mainly because, like Final Fantasy, it has built on its narrative for over a decade, to the point where I feel overwhelmed to start my journey as a completely new player. However, I've always found the Anglo-Saxon era of history very interesting, so I decided to give this a try to experience a game set in that era more than the Assassin's Creed lore itself. Over 200 hours of play-time later, which is an astonishing length for a SIngle-Player AAA nowadays, I came away shocked at how much I enjoyed the overarching Assassin's Creed narrative, and I feel energised to play the older games and connect the dots together. I feel it serves as a brilliant entry point into the series for casuals like myself, whilst also offering a deep, cognitive narrative that breathes new life and lore details into the very early games of the franchise.

It really surprised me how multi-layered the story became. You play as a Norse Viking, Eivor, looking to conquer England with her clan. Through your journey, you make and break friendships, bonds, oaths, lovers, brothers, kings and thegns. Each region of England follows its own seperate, unique story, in the wider goal of pacifying the land from Saxon rule. On top of that, there's the blend of Norse Mythology and Isu Mythology portrayed through Asgard and Jotunheim that later spills into Eivor's timeline as well in some expertly crafted twists and turns. On top of that, you have the "Order of the Ancients", a cult-like group that have weaved their way into power to push a new order into the world, later revealed to be the predecessor for The Templars. On top of all of that, you have the modern day storyline and the reason why the Animus is set up onto Eivor in the first place. It's exceptionally compelling when pieced together.

The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, one of the best games I've ever played in that regard. Especially in 4K display on XSX, it runs at a smooth 60fps in Performance Mode with no obvious dips, even in the most chaotic moments. The soundtrack is....phenomenal. Really quite special. it made me pre-order the vinyl.

I truly believe this is one of the best games released in recent years. I'm surprised at the amount of negative spotlight it continues to receive, I guess sadly it's not much different to any other mainstream release nowadays. it's such a shame the Gaming Industry is so fuelled by negativity. Of course, you're allowed to dislike the game, but some of the 0-rated scores are objectively ridiculous, and reeks of entitlement. Please, if you haven't done so already, give this a try, especially if you were like me and felt overwhelmed to dive into the AC franchise.

For me Valhalla was much better than Odyssey but after 40hours it was like " ok another
conquest". Game was beautyful. Great graphics, nice storytelling. But again they did lots of collectibles to find around world.

The best Assassins' Creed so far.
Why? Because this game is the least Assassins' creed of all AC games.

Just hoping Ubisoft will see the signals and will definitely unties himself from these old mechanics and clumsy parkour.

In terms of didactic story, open world, graphics... really great

The game is about Vikings; not many games out there have a real focus on Vikings. The art is beautiful, and the sound is crazy; sometimes, you want to keep listening to it or even do something just for the sound. The game is worth every single dime with good fighting mechanics.

I was surprised by the quality of this game, given that Ubisoft is known for quantity over quality. In this case, you get BOTH. Fantastic open-world. You can also choose a reduced HUD in order to enjoy more natural exploration (hands down for this). The main story is really good, sides quests are interesting, etc. You can also experience part of the game as an Assassin, following the line of older titles. The only aspect that I didn't like is the RPG component that make the game a little bit farmy, although it doesn't get to Odyssey's level or Shadows of War's. Finally, I should mention that I've experience two game breaking bugs so far as a result of the last update: flickering characters and crashes. I hope they fix this issue or I'd have to edit this review accordingly. I rate this game a 9 over 10 considering that 10 is Red Dead Redemption 2 levels of quality and design in the open world genre. It is highly satisfying completing a story arc or traversing the world and finding things that you felt that other players might not have stumbled across due to the nature of the open world and its use of way finders. The lack of load times on Xbox Series S is truly impressive given the nature of environments, landscape, and elements that are present on screen. There were a few issues from characters floating in mid-air, bizarre enemy AI, and straight up freezes, although these were far and few between given the scope of it all. Intuitive and varied combat help keep things fresh, even if it does take a fair few hours of gameplay to really get going. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a thoroughly enjoyable, open-world RPG that is an absolute must for Xbox owners.

In many aspects Valhalla resembles most of Ubisoft’s games, but fortunately progression feels a lot more natural this time around. The game’s not perfect but I had lots of fun conquering new territories, plundering churches, and pillaging coastal villages while following a mature story and enjoying gorgeous, believable medieval Britain.
