Gameplay is truly fantastic and fun. Throwback back to earlier wrestling games but brought up to today's speed.

To much money for to less game. Gameplay itself like a modern version of N64 wrestling games like no mercy, but also near ropes or outside the ring many bugs.

While it has a few issues that could impact it, AEW: Fight Forever is a very fun wrestling game that can be a love letter to the old school days of wrestling.

They really delivered what they promised: A game that feels and plays like the good old N64 games. And I like it!
Sure it has its flaws. I wish it gets some updates like: Create a PPV mode, 3 on 3 matches, longer entrances, up to 6 wrestlers in the ring, choose friend/foe for interfering in matches, playing as referee or Manager. But it's already good, especially in multiplayer.

It's highway robbery they're selling this game full price with only 6 matches. The story mode is lazy and the game looks like it came out 10 years ago.

in my opinion the best wrestling game ever.I think it's one of the best wrestling games, of course it has some problems, but I think it gives what no 2k game can give mechanically, I think it's a legendary start, congratulations

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Was tracking and hoping the game delivered on easy to play and hard to master. It certainly does deliver. I’ve had such a hard time with WWE 2k 23 controls that I tossed it aside due to frustration. This one is much more of what was No Mercy. Expand

This is basically a return to a No Mercy/WrestleMania 2000 style of wrestling game.

This game is a failure just like the promotion it's based on. They are trying to rob you if you think this is worth anymore than $20 bucks on any platform. I doubt anybody would even want to pirate it either since it's about as boring as the actual show

Love the game mechanics. We need more games with these mechanics more arcade style and less simulation style. Decent soundtrack. The games campaign could be longer but the most important thing here is the GAMEPLAY is fun.

This game is such a disappointment and the fact these brain dead reviewers are giving it 10a is laughable

The game is unfinished, buggy, and looks terrible. This is a very bad game and the fanboys can act like it's not but it is bad.

Buggy, bare bones, clearly unfinished, and above all else lazy. This is a desperate cash in by a company who thought they could fleece their fan base on nostalgia. The creation suite is woeful. The gameplay is dull and repetitive. Worse, there's been no mention or talk by the devs to fix it and they have the cheek to charge full price for an unfinished game. Just awful. For a first game, it's not terrible.. however it's not great. Graphics wise it's not comparable to WWE. Gameplay wise it feels too sluggish to be the arcade wrestling game that was promised.

AEW: Fight Forever is a sports simulation title that will appease a massive fan base. This excellent wrestling game has a deep career with excellent customisation options. Moreover, it can be enjoyed casually off and online.

AEW as a promotion is my favourite. Their talent and presentation are a spectacle, and I was hoping for that same feeling from the AEW: Fight Forever game. I enjoyed it, and I’d recommend it to wrestling fans with a few caveats. It’s not a full game yet, but it’s also not a standard full priced game either, so that’s the fair trade off. It has great bones and there is something enjoyable there, it’s just not fully formed. It needs much more content for its creation suite, and more content overall. If you don’t play online, there just isn’t enough there to stay interested long term. That being said, I’m hopeful for the future of the IP and hope to see more from them. Also, there really was something special about when I saw my create a character join AEW and I got that “Ophelia Payne is All Elite” graphic. That is my favourite memory of AEW: Fight Forever.

Despite its problems, AEW: Fight Forever is a good start for an AEW game. It’s really nice to see WWE finally have some more competition. Let’s hope that the developers can address some of the problems in a future update and add some more content to the game in the months ahead. As it stands, the game is mainly only good for online or couch co-op with a friend. The Road to Elite single player mode is way too short and repetitive to hold up for long. The game has a better feel to it online when compared to a WWE game, so it has it beat on that. If you want a good single player experience however, WWE games far outweigh Fight Forever with content and just overall things to do.
