With 100 levels that will either make or break players, 0000 is an unforgiving 1-bit low-fi platformer that will challenge players, whilst pleasing their ears with a spectacular soundtrack for players to groove to.

But if 100 challenging levels isn't enough, thanks to a level editor mode, there are even more levels for players to play as they will be able to create their own challenging levels, or download and play challenging levels designed by someone else, which means even if you complete the main campaign, there will still be levels to play, long after the game's release!

    Features:
A fast paced difficult, but fair gaming experience.
    100 challenging levels.
A multiplayer feature called Race Mode, where players can go head to head against a friend to see who is the true master of the 1-bit platformer genre.
A Level editor mode that allows players to create and share their own levels, as well as download those made by others.
    Cross-platform sharing.
    Online Leaderboards.
Randomly selected levels that trigger after every death and level completion.
Low-fi graphics complimented with an awesome electronic music soundtrack by Levi Bond

One can complete the entirety of the standard mode in around an hour and should be able to grab every achievement in about 30 minutes. Despite this, I hope it doesn’t become a game for achievement hunters to rinse and leave, I hope people play it for the reason I enjoyed it. It feels like a game created for the love of 2000s platformers and it deserves that same love in return.

Zero Zero Zero Zero isn’t a typical Ratalaika game – it’s deceptively more challenging and rewarding than the usual fare that they publish. Don’t overlook 0000 based on it’s minimalist presentation and spartan effects because the lack of distractions allow for better focus on the game’s solid platforming. The tight controls and the lag-free timing enable precision jumps, but even failing a level (which is always due to the avatar’s death) isn’t a big deal because a new level pops up immediately, keeping the action going.

"0000" is a 1bit platformer that really takes you back to the days of the Atari and Coleco. In those days you weren't really given a story, and it feels the same with this. Unless I just didn't research it enough in that case I apologize. I did look for info on them and the developer , and I couldn't find much so I came up with my own story like I used to do while playing the 7600 back in the day. To me I was a Indiana Jones type adventurer trying to retrieve ancient relics like some kind of golden egg or crystal skull. Then I had to escape the tomb, cave, etc traps with the Loot. This probably isn't right, but hey that is what is special with a 1 bit title. You aren't spoon fed a story, it is left up to you to decide what is going on in this black and white adventure world. That is how I played it, and would love to hear what every one else took from it as well.
There isn't a ton you can really say though it is super basic. There are 100 levels, and they will randomly appear as you beat a level or die. When you die you just go to another there is no break in the action. So it stays really fast paced. There is a timer at the bottom to see how long it takes you to clear them all.You will start to see them appear over and over as you finish a lot of them so you can learn the lay out of the traps, and how to make your way through the room. It can be very tough and I enjoyed the challenge. Like most Ratalaika games though you don't have to completely finish the game. Most the Achievements are for completing the levels, and the most you have to compete for a complete 1000 is 35 levels I believe. I was able to get a complete game in around 30 minutes.
Another thing I enjoyed about this game was the music. It is pretty darn good. it never feels repetitive even as you try to complete some of the same rooms over and over the music still feels very fresh and upbeat. I enjoyed my experience so much overall. It is a good way to spend a evening for retro game fans. It is even fun to play with a friend. It really has the appeal of a speed runner game. It is a whole lot of fun learning the fastest ways to beat missions. I could see a lot of epic runs, and fails of runs with this one. I really hope to see some people streaming runs of this soon, it would be a blast to view some of the more talented runners playing this.

    Pros:
    Really fast paced action
Lots of replay and speed running appeal
    Cool soundtrack
    Spot on Controls
    Easy Achievements

    Cons;
Not going to blow you away visually

    Overall: 6.5
Zero Zero Zero Zero is a pain to say, but a lot of fun to play. This game is going to fill some evenings with a lot of action, and has a real chance to be a speed running delight. I truly hope so.

Hard Hard Hard Hard should have been the titleZero Zero Zero Zero is a Monochrome 8-Bit 2D Single Screen Platforming Puzzle Adventure. HARD! Hard Hard Hard Hard should have been the title of this game. You play as what appears to be a Cowboy as you jump dodge, and weave through stages of increasing difficulty, and that's saying something as it is not for the meeker gamers. You're going to die... a lot. nearly everything that isn't an obvious flat surface could be potentially dangerous, as you navigate to this pill looking object, then take it back to the exit. The concept and controls are about as simple as they come, but the game is far from simple to beat. The upbeat soundtrack keeps you energized as you get beat up by the games many danger ridden levels. Jump, Shoot, Dodge, Die, Repeat. If you can't handle being killed repeatedly, this game may not be for you. But those hardcore punishment junkies that like the hardest of platforming, look here at Zero Zero Zero Zero, as it's going to supply you all the deaths you can handle. I enjoyed every minute of being torn to shreds, as this makes victory so much sweeter. For its minimal price tag and minimal design, Zero Zero Zero Zero is a game for those who love a challenge!
