Sep 22, 2017WRC 7 is racing for the sake of racing. In its purest form, it is full to the brim with exciting tracks across a huge variety of locations. The handling model fits as a simcade and it’s extremely fun, feeling rewarding while still offering up plenty of challenge even for veterans of the series. It does suffer from a completely forgettable career mode, but at the end of the day the game was never trying to be a rally career manager. It was trying to be a rally racing game and, in that, it has succeeded with flying colors. If you’re just looking to play in the dirt, WRC 7 is an excellent experience you’ll be glad to have played.

Sep 22, 2017An enjoyable rally sim, with a good tracks reproduction and a very challenging mode in the long Epic Stages. It lack a bit in the content area though, especially in the Campaign mode, and the co-pilot can be improved.

Sep 23, 2017WRC 7 is a huge improvement on the previous games. The game looks beautiful, the circuits are exciting and the driving is excellent. Unfortunately the presentation is disappointing and we would like to have more game modes.

Nov 8, 2017WRC 7 doesn’t unseat Codemasters’ Dirt 4 as this year’s premier rally game, but it definitely continues Kylotonn’s upward trajectory in the genre. It lacks the classic cars that consistently appear in other rally games and the career quickly runs out of puff, but it’s well worth playing to attack its excellent courses – especially its monster Epic Stages.
-
Nov 7, 2017A thoroughly competent but somewhat clinical racer that's fully licensed and looks the part.
-
Oct 26, 2017For more casual fans there's much more on offer there albeit without the real-life licensing. It's got more modes, more vehicle types and ultimately, more longevity before you have to think about the multiplayer option. It also doesn't implement any artificially bad handling.
-
Sep 29, 2017If you’re looking for a casual racer, the experience may be just what you’re looking for, but those hardcore racers out there may be left disappointed.
-
Sep 28, 2017For ardent rally fans then, WRC 7 is well worth a look. The often dull visuals are well worth enduring for the brilliant track design on offer, and after some tweaking the handling model is very rewarding. It’s doesn’t do much to improve on last year’s offering, but those after up-to-date teams and a new challenge to get stuck into will find that it does just enough to make their investment worthwhile.
-
Oct 2, 2017WRC 7 tries to transmit the essence of the rally without much success. A medium graphic level and rough driving does not manage to stand out above other titles of the genre. However, the game offers fast and easy fun. Ideal for anyone who wants to explore this type of competition for the first time.
-
Sep 29, 2017With its lineup of indistinguishable cars, bland Career mode, and the more enjoyable but limited Quick Game, WRC 7 presents few reasons to justify its price tag. It's fun for a quick bash sure, but for similar expenditure you could be playing Forza 7, Project Cars 2, or the literally billions of other racing games on the market.
-
CD-ActionDec 19, 2017There are some improvements and some progress in WRC 7, but if you own WRC 5 or WRC 6, it’s hard to justify buying this year’s edition. [12/2017, p.73]
