Worms Battlegrounds is still an entertaining and fun game, to say the least.

Worms Battlegrounds includes all the features that made Team 17's series so famous, offering high playability levels and great depth. Advised mainly if you're planning to play it with friends.

While it’s a bit intimidating to newcomers, and the single player campaign can seem tedious as it relies on a tried and true formula, Worms Battlegrounds does offer a very enjoyable multiplayer experience that fans have come to know and love.

There is an occasional awkwardness to movement that can make the single player story a bit of chore at times, but it does a nice job teaching the basics and serving as an almost extended tutorial for the good stuff - multiplayer mayhem.

ID@XBOX has brought us the classic Worms experience, with an irritating single-player campaign and disappointing design bolted on.

The best Worms chapter since Worms World Party, is a comprehensive game which includes almost endless multiplayer fun, along with good online features. Avoid it if you are just interested in the single-player campaign.

It’s a new Worms game. That either appeals to you or it doesn’t.

I extremely enjoyed this game, and it is definitely the best in the franchise that I have played. The story mode is brilliant, and the new features and weapons improve the game play considerably. With online and offline multiplayer available too, there is plenty of opportunity to play for hours. I was a little disappointed with the bugs that I encountered, but in the end it did not take away from the fun of the game.

Like most Worms games, you'll need other people to play with or risk monotony. Enemy AI still isn't the sharpest tool in the shed even this far in the game, and they can take far too long between turns, leading to boredom.

If you like Worms, you'll still love Worms Battlegrounds. Deathmatch and Forts modes are still fun when played with friends, but single-player feels like an interminable grind. Here's what you need to know, in a nutshell: it's a Worms game. Pure and simple.
