First up, the gameplay is great. It has happened on a number of times, that I have been put on a team, and there was some brilliant teamwork going on - more so than other games. There are a massive variety of playstyles, and tanks, available. The game definitely rewards more methodic play than might be seen elsewhere - if you die, you're out, and it's back to the garage, but if you can survive, and last the round, putting shots on target, you'll wrap up with a nice chunk of silver and xp.

There are a lot of mechanics which can be confusing to understand, and it does take a bit of time. What's important to understand, is that this game has a lot of mechanics that you would expect from a simulator, so there may be plenty of small things you're missing out on, which might be why you may not have killed that guy you shot at earlier, or whatever.

The game does definitely become a grind as you move on through the tanks, but only at the very late stages of each tech tree. Every now and again, there may be some small things which might seem crazy, but these are very, very rare. There are microtransactions, and though they aren't necessary, you can get more in game currency, and so on and so forth.

Nonetheless, this game is an absolute blast. It is highly entertaining, with a massive variety of tanks, and a large number of maps, and a fair few explosions to sweeten the deal. There is nothing quite like you and your whole team just rolling out at the start of a round, ploughing through a village, and proceeding to trade shots with 15 hostile tanks. Very definitely worth a look.

Truly deserves a 10, but it can sometimes feel like a grind. It is definitely one of my favourite releases this year.

Come i vecchi giochi divertente immediato e senza chissà quale obbiettivo. Non per forza bisogna giocare a super giochi AAA questo rende l'idea di come ci si possa divertire semplicemente. Bravi !

The game is a great game for a free to play game in itself it is not without its flaws. The match maker can feel a bit rigged sometimes and if you're just starting out guaranteed you'll be playing against ppl that under stand all the game concepts i.e. spotting range, signal range for radio, camo factor and your most important crew perks and equipment along with actual camo paint.

Game looks and sounds and plays amazingly! Nothing like driving a long in your heavy and hearing a shell echo as it bounces off your hull. Sounds just like the movie Fury. The the company really seems to support the game I have played Blitz and love it too! They are always updating and adding new tanks.

Wanted to defend the game a bit here from some of the negativity. Yes it's a free to play game so yes there are you're typical free to play aspects (multiple currencies, premium tanks, premium membership, etc.) BUT I personally feel Wargaming has done a great job with keep things reasonable.

Let me start off by saying it's a fun, strategical, teamwork-based game. When you first start out you will probably be very bad, if not then you defy all logic. It takes some practice/learning of controls and mechanics for things to really start to click. Eventually though, it's a blast. If you play alot of FPS games you will find this new and different in a great way. It's a lot slower and more strategy based which is cool.

Now for the free to play aspects. If you never spend a dime on the game you will find it difficult (but by no means impossible) to be successful. I recommend setting aside ~$30 and that's about it to hold you over for a long time. Look up guides on how to manage you silver/gold/xp and that will help a ton. The recommend purchase though is by far a premium tank. Premium tanks are tanks that are typically a little worse than the ones people train up by playing the game normally. What they are good at though is making lots of silver (thus decreasing the time to grind) and training your tank's crew. That one purchase of a premium tank goes a long way to helping you in most aspects of the game. There are other premium purchases, and some of them make a little sense, but many don't. Again, look up guides for what is best here.

This is a game with a pre-existing very strong community for the PC version. I've had a great time with it and my main point from all of this is while there is certainly the potential for one to dump lots of $$$ on various aspects of the game, there is little reason to and people have been very successful without doing so.

the party system is designed as 2tiers +- of your tier at tier 4 UNLESS You're A LIGHT TANK then its +-3 AND unless you're the chaffee witch has max tier searching so you can pick a tier 5 say heavy if your leader had a tier 4 light because its based of the max tier search no matter what tier he pick. This is not a call of duty game you will not have a good time if you play it like one because there's no re spawning and tanks with higher camo than you in foliage and not moving will spot you and kill you before you spot them and since if you're moving your camo factor is super low the lowest camo factor on a tank is heavy tanks and highest would be lights TD and mediums. So yes if you are new you will have a bad time sorry mate.

World of Tanks is a great concept. But it’s rigged. At its core, WoT is a pay to win game. I played it with a few friends hoping to replace a few boring shooters. I noticed that matches were nearly always one-sided and that outcomes of individual tank battles were ludicrous. I reached out to other random players and heard similar opinions. But its problems don’t end there. Once the giddiness of tank warfare wore off, so did my hopes that WoT would earn a place in my game library.

When forming a platoon, players cannot select tanks in tiers higher than their platoon leaders, even if matches allow them. So if the platoon leader selects a Tier III tank, everyone is capped at that tier. If a platoon member wants to play a Tier IV tank, either the leader has to select one, the group must reform so the Tier IV player can become leader thus removing the cap. Regardless of the cap, players will always encounter more powerful, higher tier tanks in every match. Not much fun for people just starting out.

Excellent game to play with friends, good graphics and decent frame rate but there is some balancing issues with the tier spread when you play online.

Great game, free but you may need to buy gold to purchase many upgrades, unless you are very patient going up the tiers of the tank lines you choose. If I could give it a 7.5 I would, it's not a bad little game. Especially if it's free. You can find tons of players thanks to the cross platform bridging (wish more games did this). But be warned! Do not bother with buying Gold... it is a rip off. Some tanks you can only buy with gold and they can cost more than 12,000 gold. Some tanks you can only buy with gold and they can cost more than 12,000 gold. These tanks are the only ones that allow you to get the special XP from them that you can convert into gold. But the amount of grinding it would take to get those 12,000 gold tanks is... so much math I can't even. Worst part is these tanks aren't top tier tanks. So you'll end up replacing them with tanks you can buy with the easily acquired silver pieces. Tanks have 10 tier levels, the gold tanks stop at tier 8 so yeah you'll replace them.

Only reason to get gold is to buy those tanks so if you surpass that level then it's a waste. Besides 12,000 gold on the online store cost $50 for tier 8 tanks. A vehicle in a game... cost you $50 real dollars. Just say hell no. Unless you got money to burn, it's a waste.

As for the actual gameplay, the game is a lot of fun. Easily something you would enjoy with couple friends. It's funny as hell to watch new players get used to the controls, watching them slide down a cliff ass-backwards getting shot at by 5 different enemies while they're screaming bloody murder lol.

And yes the controls suck, they're supposed to, These are old ass tanks... they didn't control very well in real life. You're not going to be Tokyo drifting around everywhere. Although drifting in circles around an enemy tank while you're blasting them with your cannon would be badass. But yeah these controls are hard to get used to. Press left stick for cruise control, trust me it helps.

As for some of the negative aspects, this game does lose its charm after a while. Once you hit those horrible grinding tiers the game just because busy work. Oh and of course you'll have enemies that went ahead and paid ridiculous amounts of money for top tier tanks that get pitted against you in your rust bucket. I have to imagine this was done to persuade you into buying the high end tanks... it has the typical "free" to play tropes that invest these games.

I still recommend picking it up and trying it out.

I've played and played and it doesn't get stale. The only things wrong are small; they prompt you to purchase gold all the time and the lag can be fatal. (In game of course)

Played WoT now for maybe 6 months. Really enjoy the game, and am surpirsed to read so many other people complaining of fixed Matches. Some of the mechanics are complex to get your head around, but with a bit of youtubing and googling you can get the hang of it. I think people who moan about the game don't understand how it works.

Game is naturally full of grind, and it's not the kind of game you can be good at overnight and takes a long time to get to the top tiers.

On the downside, the game is very expensive if you want premium material. I tend to it the occasional premium tank if they're on offer. It's also not quite as fun if you're playing alone, compared with platooning with others

If you like tanks and you like free and you don't mind in-game purchase options, you will enjoy this game. I have spent a whole of hours in the game and had a lot of fun with it.. Very nicely done...

A good free to play with graphical quality and frame rate as good as its PC counterpart. Still needs a bit of work and matchmaking can take some time, but for a free to play its a decent game.

World of Tanks on Xbox One is simply a technical upgrade of the 360 version and retains its strengths and weaknesses, but in a nicer way. It's still free, and can be played in multiplayer cross-platform.
