    World of Final Fantasy is a nice change of pace for the series’ formula, but it relies too much on simplistic tactics to be a standout. I love the two main characters and the ideas behind the combat, but the dungeons feel padded out and the combat is just not that interesting.

    A fun distraction from the mainline Final Fantasy games, this is a game you’re going to want to digest in small pieces. World of Final Fantasy Maxima is so sickeningly cute and twee that it sometimes comes off as unbearable (thanks to the main characters) but when you get past that, there is a compelling and intelligent battle system waiting for you. And obviously, the new Xbox One additions are welcome, even if they're not particularly huge. If you’re a die-hard Final Fantasy fan and can put the time into this game, you’re going to get a lot out of it.

    World of Final Fantasy Maxima is technically sound and the quality you would expect from the final fantasy series and Square Enix Japan. WorldWorld of Final Fantasy Maxima is technically sound and the quality you would expect from the final fantasy series and Square Enix Japan. World of Final Fantasy is a solid game that’s entertaining and offers a lot of different things to do in game. Fans and followers of Final Fantasy series will enjoy the many references to past games but the game itself doesn’t rely on this alone. The story takes a while to get going or to get interesting and pull you in, however the fun and enjoyable parts of the game have nothing to do with the story. It’s ideal for anyone just looking for a fun game to play and long time fans of the Final Fantasy series, and fans of JRPGs. Reminds me of Pokemon Let's Go, with a complex battle and leveling system. Although I'm not a personal fan of the Pokemon series, I do give this a thumbs up for what it does have to offer. I'd definitely recommend you check it out, especially if you can grab it on sale.… Full Review »

    worth it and glad to play this game again. so much memories and nostalgia within this spin off game in the series.
