    For little ones, this may be a good entry point into gaming, but for the older gamers, this is nothing more than Gamerscore fodder, and it’s tough to even recommend it for that reason.

    Woodle Tree Adventures draws inspiration from the likes of Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64, but well and truly fails at meeting the same level of quality on even a surface level. The game’s utter lack of refinement sees issues such as poor camera behavior and inconsistent handling continuously hindering play. Though, even if you’ve the patience to overlook such blatant faults, you’re left with a dull platformer that’s far more frustrating than it’s worth.

    Woodle Tree Adventures suffers technically from quite a few issues, and when you combine that with the lack of polish in several areas itWoodle Tree Adventures suffers technically from quite a few issues, and when you combine that with the lack of polish in several areas it meant that the enjoyment of the levels dwindled. The platforming genre is quote saturated and the bar has been set very highly in the genre many times. That said, this release needs to stand out and have very few problems. Woodle Tree Adventures doesn’t do that, and in the end the small amount of fun that the game does offer on occasion, is almost immediately lost due to the game’s many shortcomings. Thankfully my expectations weren’t high to begin with because of the small studio and price of admission. The game’s presentation has a quaint art style and a sound design, however this is probably the really only high points of Woodle Tree Adventures because the gameplay is full of little quality issues one expects from games in this genre. The camera is a large issue because it never seemed to go in the position I felt it should and caused me a bit of frustration with the game at times. The games unresponsive controls are something that also are impactful when coupled with the poor 3D follow camera. When you do finally get past these issues what you’re left with is repetitive gameplay and whilst the level design has some variety there isn’t really any more variety included in the other aspects of the gameplay itself. Woodle Tree Adventures is a value priced game that is priced according to what you get. The games low price would make it good for achievement hunters or someone just looking for an afternoon of fun with a low price of admission.     Woodle Tree Adventures is a cute little platformer about a tree trunk trying to grab fairy tears to save the forest. ya I know it doesn't make a ton of sense, and there isn't any voice acting , or real story. There is no real tutorial so you pretty much just figure it out on your own. It isn't that difficult though. I really think it would make a good first platformer for young players to experience. It is real easy, the enemies move really slow. The levels are pretty simple, and small. There isn't much penalty for dying just start level over, but you don't lose any progress. The only real thing that is difficult is the fact it doesn't have camera control . there are times you really can't tell where you going, or if your going to drop on a lower platform, because the camera zoom in way to tight, or behind something. It can be real annoying, but it doesn't happen a whole lot. So it is pretty simple to complete every level. You also collect berries to unlock two bonus levels. They also unlock different weapons as well, and count towards achievements. They are the only real Achievements you can really miss in this game. It's a pretty easy thousand in under a hour. Making it another can't miss for Achievement hunters especially with the five dollar price tag.
    The look of it is really nice I thought. Some of the levels actually looked like real toys or something. The enemies and characters, are all really adorable as well. The music really fits the game as well classical and piano all sound beautiful as you change levels. The sounds are all really fitting as well. Well maybe except for collecting berries that sound got real annoying around the two thousand mark when I was trying to collect the three thousand for the Achievement.My experience with it all is really positive. I don't have much negative to say about it. It may not be directed towards older gamers, but that doesn't effect the fact it works, it's affordable fun, and it is designed pretty well. My only real complaints with the game is the camera controls not being a option, and it's a little short. All things that can be fixed with a update, and some DLC levels.
    So is it for you? I think if your an Achievement hunter, or have young kids it could be a lot of fun. It can also be really affordable game to add to their collection, and let them have some fun for a few days. It doesn't have a lot of replay value, and it's not going to take long too beat, but at the price it's worth a grab for a rainy/snowy day or a weekend.
