    Just finished and it was awesome, the most enjoyable fps I have played in years. If you haven't picked this game up you are missing out on a classic game brought bang up to date. This is the stuff my childhood gaming dreams were made of :)

    LOVE this game. Great story, great acting, great atmosphere, many and varied environments. What do the critics want? The controls are great, the game is beautiful and moving and fun to play. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!! I want more games just like this. I would buy 50 copies at full price for everyone I knew if I thought it would help get more games like this made. This team is doingLOVE this game. Great story, great acting, great atmosphere, many and varied environments. What do the critics want? The controls are great, the game is beautiful and moving and fun to play. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!! I want more games just like this. This team is doing what makes gaming an art form and yet they still managed to make a totally polished and well functioning game. I have played through twice and the game has not crashed or bugged out in any way. The Lego Hobbit game crashed constantly. I almost bought this on the 360 because of the crashing of the xbox one but this game plays perfectly. The best game in every way that I have played on the new console.     One of the best shooter since Bioshock 1, The Darkness..I really enjoyed this game. Gameplay, level design, atmosphere absolutrely perfect. And that oldschool feeling.

    Due to the amount of fun I'm having playing this I have no choice but to rate it a 10. There are some small glitches like drones flying through walls but these are far and few between and by no means affect the experience or are worth the point dock. It looks good. It has some of the smoothest controls I've ever seen and the story actually has merit. The 'upgrades' which enhance the abilities of the limited set of weapons nicely prevent them from becoming boring as does the dual-wield option. Tepid games like Titanfall should take notes on how to make weapons feel good to fire from this game. You can taste obvious Rage flavors throughout but they have managed to breathe life into this that Rage never had. Easily one of the best shooters ever not just on this console. Buy it.… Expand

    I love it, GREAT story, When you have a nightmare (sleep on a bed) you get the old school 8 bit wolf game..Funny..Game play feels responsive and it is fun killing NAZI's...Feels like inglorious Bastards. I have been waiting for a decent game on the XBOX One and finally it is here. Price is OK, 59.99 and at target you get a 10 dollars gift card so 49.99... Feels like bio shock in Nazi times.

No. Was it fun? Yes!!! It capitalized on game play and if your a fan of first person shooters at all.... You will enjoy this game. Even on normal setting this game was Challenging.     Just buy it. It's quite fun. The perk system is an extension that is welcomed. The story is nice. It's got some nudity so watch out. I hope Doom is as good. The weapons are smooth. I'm rocking a silenced piston for this play through. "choose"!

    What a fantastic game. Downloaded it from the marketplace, as i wanted a good single player game. Thats exactly what i got, but not good- extreamly good! What a truly fantastic story, with great voice acting. Not only that, but coupled with lots of collectibles, secret rooms, crazy weapons, and a crazy but effective twist on the ww2 setting- makes for an excellent game everybody shouldWhat a fantastic game.     Loving this game, It is a great fun experience. The story is cheesey and doesn't take it's self too seriously. It is a great refreshing change to the over saturated grey modern war games they are flooding the market.

    I gotta sayi was sceptic about this game but i remembered id and bethesda look over their projects well.     Ok, with these style of games, being a classic style first person shooter, you either love them or you hate them, rarely do they have a middle ground. That said, this game walks that fine line where I can expect new comers to pick up the game and have just the same amount of over the top, blood gushing fun that a die hard fan could have. The guns are a treat to use and dual-wielding is a blast with all the different weapon combos that you can create with them which only accelerates the high end action that you'd expect from a Wolfenstein game. With great amounts of gore, insane action, crazy boss battles with more guns than Sly Stallone, I cant recommend this game enough.… Expand

    You'll only know the meaning for BADASS after play this game.
    Its a incredible shooter with significant characters and amazing combat scenes, the gameplay is outstanding with a lot of collectibles and secrets, the graphics may be the only thing that disappointed me.

    I am not a big first person shooter fan but I gotta say man....what a mind-blowing experience!! Best first person shooter I have ever played in my life and probably will be for a long time. Amazing. This game deserves a 5/5. I mean if it actually had me getting into my feelings about the characters, then its on some new level type gaming. Hats off!!

    This game is awesome! Once you get past the prologue (you'll understand when you play) the game really ramps up and gets down to business. Amazing story, haunting characters, great music and sound, well-designed and varied locations, and fast-paced, old school-style FPS game-play. The sleeper of 2014. Strongly recommended!

    One of the best and first FPS games I played on Xbox One. The story is very interesting and the graphics are very good. Probably the best Wolfenstien game out of the 3 and I would recommend to anyone who played the old Wolfenstien because this game is awesome

    First of all, The shooting and movement in this game feels just right. Running, sliding, leaning, all feel very natural.     First of all, The shooting and movement in this game feels just right. Running, sliding, leaning, all feel very natural. The close combat system is amazing for a game of this nature, you have stealth kills, counter attacks, grapples, all with enough variety to keep you interested the entire game. Finally, the shooting feels utterly amazing. The power of the assault rifle and automatic shotgun, watching limbs and peoples torsos being blown to bits, is just fantastic.

    What I love about this game is the stealth, mixed with action, mixed with small puzzles, and even a safe house in the middle of the German territory. That's all I will say about that since I don't want to give anything away. The game feels like you are living through this mans life, not just mindlessly running around like an idiot.

    The replay value of this game is also great. It is one of the few single player games I am actually replaying. There is one story line but a decision you make in the beginning of the game decides how you make it to the end. I own Battlefield 4 and Titanfall so far for the Xbox One and I must say, every time I put either of those games in my console all I feel is regret that I'm not playing Wolfenstein. I immediately hit eject and smile as I step into Blaskevics (I think that's how you spell his name) shoes to kill some Nazi's : ). No other game right now has the feel, story, and pure enjoyment as Wolfenstein currently for the Xbox One.    … Expand

    This is a game where you must find health, armor, super collectibles and other hidden stuff.
    Stealth (which has smooth/fluid controls) is a real theme throughout the game and as the game moves towards the finish and open conflict becomes more prevalent (as it should) one then needs to manage their stealth, cover shooting and running combat with appropriate timing.

    Tons of awesome weapons and upgrades.
    Great story. Superb progression. Very lengthy (easily 30+ hours for the meticulous)
    Combat is fluid, intuitive and the control scheme again goes back to fps roots.
    Zero boredom, zero repetitiveness.
    Good graphics. Superb voicing. No bugs.

    The biggest negative issues in the game are that the radial wheel often doesnt register the appropriate weapons and jacks up your play bigtime and the game will start you off where you need to fight immediately but defaulted to an inappropriate weapon. Thus, those two dev errors are compounded and you die needlessly.

    Only wish there was even more campaign and that there was another, more hardcore, insane difficulty with limited items, ammo and tougher enemies. (played Uber only)
    Now off to Colossus...

    This game goes back to the roots of proper fps gameplay (no multiplayer) and destroys it!

Wolfenstein: The New Order, they have not changed yourself! They made an idol William Blaskowitz character! And it's not just the character, and personality, which even empathize. He as well voiced; the actor dubbing almost always speaks in a whisper, what makes the character closer to the player. Besides the main character we'll be a resistance headquarters, which is filled with characters. At first they seem to be just furniture to fill the space, but eventually all the characters will be revealed and you to bind him. The headquarters of the resistance will be your home to which you'll return after the task. You'll chat with your companions, it is better to know and get around the headquarters, which from time to time will change. If you sleep on the bed, even you can play a level from the original Wolfenstein is a great game (which in the game is not enough). Also I can not mention great music! The music in the game is simply gorgeous and gives the picture and gameplay richness.

    Wolfenstein: The New Order is not a game in the open world, but the developers create the feeling that you are not just at the locations of the next mission, and at a certain part of the world. World, which was seized by the Nazis. Writers have written an alternative history and was even recorded alternate covers of famous bands! Notes interesting to read, and don't pass it by! They are immersed in the alternate world, and you realize that this is a deep game, it's a real thought out story with his world.

    Wolfenstein: The New Order is a shooter. Without a great shuternoy mechanics to play wouldn't be interesting even with a good plot. Developers here do not disappoint! Shoot fun! Run around and shoot Nazis with two hands! Buzz! Health itself is not restored, so you have to look for kits (you can even gain health above 100%, but it will very quickly drop to 100). Besides health, we also do replenish armor - just like in the good old days. The game also has stealth and a high level of complexity will have to resort to it often. But in this game it's best to set a medium level of complexity and fun to shoot Nazis.

    I strongly recommend Wolfenstein: The New Order! Few people makes the shooter a real adventure with a memorable story and characters.    … Expand

    This game came from nowhere and in a different set of hands would have been absolutely terrible. MachineGames turned out a true masterpiece that will forever remain a classic.

    Marvelous FPS from start to end. Way better than CoD or Battlefield. Everyone who likes good war-fiction stories, the WW II or just quick action should gave it a try. It's on the Game Passs! Greatt game

    finally played the game after all these years due to xbox game pass. in germany, the series is not well known due to censorship. However, its a really great game! I also love all the collectibles, letters, newspaper articles etc that make the world come to life. Additionally, there are five difficulty grades for increasing the challenge.

It has a metallic environment and a dark atmosphere, and both really create a true tension. Model and level design are very interesting, since they really give life to the fiction.

    The soundtrack is fine too, very appropriate. They give a true sense of power to the weapons; and musics are accompanying the action well, but somewhat discrete. Voice acting is brilliant.

    Now for the gameplay, it is marvellous. You have a full control over your character, thanks to lying down and leaning options. And the possibility to dual-wield every weapon brings a whole lot of fun. And the best part is that you can go all guns blazing like a walking tank; or you can chose the shadow way, and going stealth all the way. The commanders can call for reinforcements in case of alert, and this really deserves the gameplay, strategizing it a lot, and I must not forget to mention the huge diversity of enemies. However, even on its hardest difficulty level, the AI somewhat fails sometimes (but very little). The choice you are given to make in the very first chapter, is minor, but it is interesting to see how the designers created every level, giving you different progress opportunities depending on that choice. Its replay value is huge.

    But where my heart found its pleasure, is in the fan service. True Wolfenstein fans will find a lot of easter eggs, in reference to the past episodes. And the different cliches are really enjoyable and very well implemented.

    This game is one of the best you can find, if you are looking for a strong solo experience. And the history this licence carries, with its one of a kind feel in atmosphere and gameplay will keep you entertained for long long hours.    … Expand

    What a great game. I love it!!! Total fun with a Tarantino esque story, what more could you want? This game definitely deserves better scores across the board! Hands down beats what is out there right now for a offline shooter. We don't always need a online aspect to a game for it to be great.

    Ultimately you have to scrape to find a substantive problem with Wolfenstein: The New Order. If you mandate profound innovation in the games you play, it’s possible that New Order may be too traditional for your tastes. Regardless, it’s a well-made, extremely create, and fun ass game. If you want to sit down and just have fun, you can’t ask for more than that.
