    Poor controls and shoddy graphics will take away any last drop of praise you have for Winx Club: Alfea Butterflix Adventures. It is literally all about the achievements for this game – one that is easily set to be one of the worst of 2018.

    You are dropped into the world of Winx Club. Braufilius, the villain, in front of you, taunting you along to chase him into the distance.You are dropped into the world of Winx Club. Braufilius, the villain, in front of you, taunting you along to chase him into the distance. You're prompted with a tutorial card explaining movement and the camera controls. This is how your Butterflix Adventures begin, placing you directly into the game. While I did enjoy myself playing the game, I would not say that the game on a whole is enjoyable. There is quite a learning curve that comes from the deadzone when pushing the left analog. The timing became easier and easier when I would stay mobile and just spring and leap my way through the puzzles as fast as I could interpret the next move. Taking your time and trying to jump each gap one at a time leads can lead to failure. I thought to myself, this is a children's game! Some of the elements of the game are not fully explained, like the followers or fairy fans, but after accruing so many of these you can unlock some of the other Winx Club to play as. The puzzles were designed well enough, after each key you could view a clip showing you to the next key. I accepted the challenge and pressed on, finding a number of the keys and gems. Entertainment was found during my Butterflix Adventures and I am sure a fan would have been pleased to play as Bloom and the other Winx. Trading cards are collected while traversing the world, you are able to sell your duplicates to purchase outfits. I would have liked more of the songs from the show, as you only get a few tracks from the seventh season. Winx Club: Alfea Butterflix Adventures on Xbox One is definitely an upgrade from the Playstation 2 and Mobile Versions. Can you defeat Braufilius and his gemlins?… Expand
