    We. the Revolution is a well written, decent narrative puzzle game that doesn’t shy away from the brutality of 18th century France. The game makes an intriguing habit of forcing you to face your actions head-on, with far reaching consequences that can alter the plot in ways you rarely expect. The only drawback is that it’s very convoluted due to its many systems and its abundance of relationship balancing, ultimately making for a lot of guesswork.

    Style is prevalent over substance in We. The Revolution. This dark morality tale is rife with plot holes and incongruous twists, and its epic scale only serves to pile on more shortfalls and ill-fitting gameplay mechanics.

The Revolution has you covered, if deep political intrigue, and harsh moral decisions entertain you. In We. The Revolution you make choices as a Judge during the times of the French Revolution. In this game you are tasked with reading the facts, and deciding if the people put before you are guilty of their accused crimes. Deduce the evidence, question the witness and hear the interjections of the people. After this you are burdened with the decision to listen to the Jury, or make it your better judgement and call the verdict against the majority. Each day is finished with a set of options to do with your Family or close friend. The conflict of this game is balancing your relations with your family, and your political power, trying to keep everyone happy at the same time, while serving the country in the name of Justice. Everything you need to know in game needs to be read, and is an awkward blend of English and French. The artistic style chosen and the comic style cut scenes blend well to paint the impact of the current emotional heft felt by the main character, who starts our adventure disliked by most of his neighbors. I can't help but compare this to the Phoenix Wright trilogy that released a few months back on the Xbox One, I just didn't have the same level of fun I did with We. The Revolution. If you're like me and enjoy law games then I'd "judge" it worthy of adding to your Xbox One library.… Full Review »

There were times when I genuinely wanted to make a specific decision but couldn't because it would have ended the game and that really ate me up! The constant balancing act that you have to play was more than enough to keep me invested from the very getgo and the deeper I got into the game, the more comfortable I got with playing the game of politics which probably says way too much about me...… Full Review »
