    The game is a blast. The different people you can recruit to DedSec is vast and colorful. Just about anyone you pass buy you can bring into your group. The music is sometimes good when your driving. the cars handle well and the motorcycles handle even better. what i find the most fun is the gadgets and hacks like one you get bass knuckles with the ability to shock people you punch.     When are people going to stop accepting micro transaction heavy, buggy, **** , technically out of date games from a publisher that make billions of them every year... PLay RDR2, play , Ghost of Tshushima, Days Gone, the difference in attention to detail and quality is generations apart.

    Wow. It's super fun to just mess around and find someone that has your likeness. There's no character customization like in other games but this one's better. i found someone with my last name and then customized his clothes and such. It's been great! Allows me to feel more connected to the story seeing myself in cutscenes.

    reading some of these comments makes me think like "are these people actually lying?" during my 10 hour game session i haven't had single hardcore bug in this game, zero crashes, I'm not even sure if i have had any minor bugs to be honest. Everything just works lol.

    Game is nothing special, but has tons potential to get better. Even then, this game could never be put under category "bad". Because it just it's just not that. There are bad game, there are decent games, there are decent games with potential to get better and then there are good games. This one is decent with potential to get better.

    Ubisoft games are usually from decent to even very good. Good example is Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, this game is amazing. So whoever says that Ubisoft games suck, has absolutely no taste in gaming whatsoever. I don't even wanna know what trash games these people play.    … Expand

    I support this because i really like this idea of open world hacking game. It just needs to be done right. There's two way it can go, they either improve this one with 1. MULTIPLAYER, 2. AIDEN PEARCE DLC STORY, 3. IMPROVE OVERALL GAME MECHANICS LIKE DRIVING. Either these or they just need to go all out with watch_dogs 4. They got London right, that's good. Still i'm not giving up on it just yet, i really wanna see what they do with season pass and if Aiden's story is good enough. If they this right, this might actually be pretty decent hacking/open world game that takes place in London and that's actually (at least to me) very important aspect. I like London. I love it's architecture (yeah i'm history nerd, sue me). NPC recruitment is very unique idea BUT IT NEEDS MORE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT NEEDS MORE. Like i said, i'm still hopeful, would love to fly on cargo drones with Aiden Pearce and play his missions. Could be actually cool. Even tho i kinda trashed it, don't get me wrong, i still like this game. It's miles better than completely empty open world of mafia remake, i don't care if it focuses on story, if you have huge open world, do something with it. Watch_Dogs is at least doing something. And it's overall by any means more fun than Marvel's Avengers, these are not even comparable. I'm not saying these things AT ALL to trash other games, i'm just pointing out facts.     I have strong mixed feelings about this game. First off, it's all there, npc recruitment, London in all it's glory, everything that was in trailers, everything they promised, it's all there.
    Now, let describe this open world London and stuff i like about it and stuff i don't like at all.

    This game misses main character, i'm sorry to say that, but it does. I can't wait to see if anything improves when they release season pass with Aiden, but it must. I would absolutely love to free roam with Aiden in that city. I guess what i want is actual character focused story. Right now it almost feels like it's work in progress and they should have released Aiden day 1 as post-story content. Like if you finish main story, then you can play with Aiden basically, well they didn't do that and i can live with that, i just hope season pass delivers, i really do. And why am i so optimistic? Because at the same time, there's so much there. This city really looks beautiful, for example you can go on cargo drone and fly on top of almost any building (that isn't too high) and chill around there. Scenery is BEAUTIFUL. You can free roam around on these rooftops, explore them etc. But then i have some criticism against open world design choices, for example i was free roaming and i found this old train in middle of nowhere, Would have been so cool to go inside it and explore it, but you can't because it has no doors. It's not the end of the world, but little things like that could have been so much deeper. You can drive inside trams in WD1 and you can't even go inside old train? Just saying. But overall it's not trash, it's just not. It' might not be anyone's cup of tea and that's completely fine, giving it just zero is pathetic at best. I'll just be honest, driving sucks with mouse and keyboard, it actually felt better in WD1 and they need to fix this, i'm serious. Overall it has tons of potential, underground areas is nice idea as well. There's so much there and there's stuff that i can forgive, like i don't NEED to go inside old trains, it would be just cool, that's all i'm saying. Overall again, it's not trash, it's just not. It just need improvement and for the love of god it needs that season pass more than ever.    … Expand

    Not masterpiece, but compared to tons of other open world games that are actually boring and empty (just cause 3 and 4, mafia remake) there's tons of fun to be had in watch dogs legion.

Not everything hits the nail, but it would be miracle if everything did. 2019 was generally huge mistake for them and i'm pretty confident it wont happen again. They simply can't afford it. Assassin's Creed has way larger fanbase (literally millions) than watch dogs, so hopefully Assassin's Creed fans are ready to protect Valhalla when it releases, because this kind of mass downvoting can't happen again. Now about the game, been playing around 20 hours i think. So far it's pretty fine watch dogs entry, i wasn't expecting anything crazy anyway from this, but it's solid 7.5, maybe even 8 for how good London looks.    … Expand

    No idea about base console performance, because i have xbox series x, ps4 pro and high end pc, but on these three it runs well enough and looks stunning (at times).

    I thought this series was dead, apparently i was wrong, it's more alive than ever. Unlike last game's npc's that were blank faces, Legion's city feels alive. RTX reflections look way too realistic, mind blowing how far graphics have come.

    My most anticipated video games of 2020 were Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion. I pre-ordered all of them, so watch dogs legion is first one down. Gotta say, it's not perfect, but i wasn't expecting anything perfect. Overall i think it was just okay. It wasn't awful either. Giving it 10 because bots have review bombed it badly.

    Just finished main story, doing side content now. I enjoyed this one way more than second game. I generally tend to like open worlds with darker atmosphere, but second watch dogs had one of the lamest npc's i have seen in any open world game. Legion improves on that aspect a lot. Story was honestly kinda boring in Legion, but it had it's moments, some missions were better than others, butJust finished main story, doing side content now.     Seems like this game has been under similar attack as last of us 2 with tons of bots giving 0s.
    This game is much better than last of us 2, that's for sure. It doesn't have amazing story, far from it, but it's not even close to as awful as last of us 2 story, that one was just horrible.
    So far enjoying the game, huge step up from last game.

    Truly a downgrade from watchdogs 1 and 2, the story may be good in some ways but it does lose interest quickly, the recruiting is flawd giving females more power than males even showing that you will unlock high class male recruits for certain missions before giving you an old lady with the same stat's (e.g clearing an area shows you will unlock a male spy but you get an old lady with aTruly a downgrade from watchdogs 1 and 2, the story may be good in some ways but it does lose interest quickly, the recruiting is flawd giving females more power than males even showing that you will unlock high class male recruits for certain missions before giving you an old lady with the same stat's (e.g clearing an area shows you will unlock a male spy but you get an old lady with a silencer instead)

    The humour is hit and miss, at times funny and gets a chuckle at other times you're wishing you weren't playing the game. The incredible cloth physics from the last 2 games especially with coats is now gone, instead we have cardboard clothing that clip through everything including the cars your driving and bikes you're riding and looks terrible, the control scheme is also awful and even when you change the buttons to suit your play style it forces other prompts to be left out or combined with the same button as others, at first this doesn't seem so bad but after fiddling with the controller layout for over 3 hours there is no fluid way to have control of the game.

    This game gets a 2 if problems are fixed maybe I'll give it a better score but as it stands it feels like you are forced to play as females and people you don't want to play as just to suit their agenda, this is disgusting to the point even my girlfriend was asking if I could play longer to find her a white male spy or hitman because that's who SHE wants to play as. Ubisoft I implore you to fix the game as much as possible I will relook at this in a few months and decide on if the score should improve    … Expand

    Completely broken and unplayable can't even boot up a mission with out it crashing also never received my pre order gold edition stuff event though the season pass is available in the store feel Completely ripped off by ubisoft this will officially be the last ubisoft game I pre order ever again even with the amazing detail and fun gameplay I still would not recommend this game at all

    This is basically new meta, when bots that gives 0's or 1's claim that others are bots. Pure comedy. It's not 10/10 game, more like 7 or 7.5, but i have to give it 10 to fight back against fake reviews that give 0's. Glad to see Ubisoft back on track.

The procedurally generated characters are OK, but there's no real group dynamic since all the recruits are just "whoever shows up" and they lack any real distinct personalities, unlike Watch Dogs 2.

    If you like running    It's more of the same Watch Dogs. If you liked 2, then this is the same game, but set in London, with a worse plot/cast of characters, and slightly better gameplay. The procedurally generated characters are OK, but there's no real group dynamic since all the recruits are just "whoever shows up" and they lack any real distinct personalities, unlike Watch Dogs 2.

    If you like running around an open world, then this is a nice version of London. If you know the geography of London, then this game will be pretty fun, as it is a more faithful reproduction of it than WD2 was of San Francisco. On the other hand, it is a MUCH smaller total area than TW2. Like probably 1/3th the size (not counting the bay; counting the bay, probably less than 1/10th).

    Does it have soul? No.
    Are the graphics good? Yeah, it looks basically like the "lying E3 trailer" version of WatchDogs that they showed us in 2013 or whenever the first one came out. Water effects are quite lovely, especially at night.
    Is it worth playing? Only if you're stuck at home in a pandemic and have nothing else to do.

    COVID and the delay of Cyberpunk 2077 will probably double this game's sales compared to what it should be.

    Would I recommend it? I think only if you like pointless open world games a LOT, or if you kind of like open world games and you live in London, or have lived in London.

    More of this and less of whatever watch dogs 2 was supposed to be. This one is already huge improvement, can't wait what they do with watch dogs 4. Please another European city. Anything but USA at this point. Usa has been done so many time in different games, there's other places too. Even Australia would be better choice than USA.

    Just made this account to say that after 15 hours i haven't had any major problems. I have heard about save issues, personally haven't had any save issues. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I think Ubisoft tweeted that they patch it on November 9th. I also made this account to fight back against bots who are trying to lower user score.     Exactly that type of Sandbox I was hoping for, yes it may get repetitive after a while of recruiting your team but the thing is. You can play as anyone! Absolutely anyone. Albion Enforcer? No problem. Police Officer? No problem. I'm really looking forward to what will UBI bring with the Season Pass. Big open World.

    Beautiful open world that actually feels alive. RDR2 did unexpectedly well with npc's and so does this game, but it's little bit different this time. Now you can play as any npc you see in the world.That's epic.

However, as a huge Watchdogs fan, I pre-ordered it and got it day one, and I want to say, it was such a nice breath of fresh air from modern day games like Modern Warfare and other - questionable - games.

    The combat is heavily improved from One and Two. You can now punch, guard break and dodge instead of the plain Takedowns that were the only melee combat in WD 1 + 2. Gunplay feels above average for your typical Open-world third person shooter, and the range of ways to shoot was vast - something I’ll explain more later.

    Now the main selling point of this game is the play-as-anyone mechanic. I didn’t know how well this would be executed at first - I thought it could either be a cheap way to make the game unique or something that would completely revolutionise the franchise, and I can safely say it felt amazing. Walking around the world for ages just to find one person that would help your team significantly felt satisfying and not at all a waste of time. Unfortunately Ubisoft haven’t given us a real reason to recruit a “normal” person unless you really have to - but the amount of skilled operatives you can come across in one session made up for that.
    I haven’t yet come across the same person twice, which is very impressive when you consider there are 9 MILLION people to recruit, and their recruitment missions weren’t *too* repetitive - and neither were their abilities.

    Hacking didn’t feel much different, but like they say: you can’t fix something that’s not broken, but I would have liked to have seen different mechanics for the driving aspect. It feels good but not anything    … Expand

    Never played watch dogs before, just wanted to try something different. Usually been playing dark souls and stuff like that. I gotta say, it's better than i expected. Scanning every npc is really fun and ability to play as any npc is something i have never seen in open world game like this. I guess npc's with more personality is the future or these types of games. Been playing for two days now and it's pure joy to finally play something i actually care about. I barely finished second game, it was just so boring.     It's actually way better than what i expected. Specially after absolute letdown that WD2 was.
    Positives would be: combat, npc recruitment system, graphics, drone hacking, hacking in general, spiderbot, underground locations, design of London.
    Negatives: story is "eh", performance could be better.
    Overall would recommend if you liked watch dogs 1 and are general watch dogs fan.

    It's not MUST BUY right now, but it has very strong potential to become even better. There's some serious performance patch needed, but it's all there. Everything that was in trailers, gameplay demos etc. And it's (so far) pretty enjoyable game.

Specially for Assassin's Creed series, but watch dogs is fun too.     Game is fun by the way. I would very much recommend it. It's nothing special, but it has some really unique mechanics.

    Perfect game to end this awful year with. Finally something positive. Not some depression simulator like last of us 2. I'm not saying it's best game of 2020, no it's not, but it's solid enough and maybe dlc's make it even better.
    Extremely hyped for Assassin's Creed Valhalla tho.

    It's no GTA V, but it's solid open world London to chill around in, hack stuff, fly drones, drive cars, recruit npc's, explore London underground hidden areas. It's cool. Nothing special, but i would rather buy this than marvel's avengers, re3remake or dark pictures.

They wait 1 year with PC release and on launch...well it didn't launch and after many patches when it finally launched it was buggy with awful performance. It took them 3 months to RDR2 to somewhat okay performance level.This is day 1 release on all platforms and it works (for the most part) well enough. There many other comparisons i could make like Fallout 76 launch (even tho they never even tried to fix this game) and Just Cause 4 launch was just awful.     Only real thing this game misses is one central main character. NPC recruitment is cool idea, but there should still be one main character, npc recruitment should be bonus things you could do.
    Even tho this issue might be fixed with upcoming dlc character, specially Aiden from first game.

    Game is nice enough, nothing special, nothing bad. Graphics shine specially on PC version, console versions are fine, considering the fact that they run on 2013 hardware, that's actually impressive. Now, i did some research, basically i checked all negative reviews and what i found out is that very large number of them have only 1 review and it's for this game.     PC version needs some serious patches that makes fps better. Consoles versions will obviously run better on Xbox Series X or PS5, but PS4 Pro runs it fine as well. Overall very unique concept, recruit any npc, make army of them, free London. London looks beautiful btw.

    What a cool game. This one at least tries to be something, unlike Marvel's Avengers.
    Could use tons of improvements, but it already feels way more interesting than WD2.
    There's many secret areas (underground usually) that you can explore and you can just fly on drones, hack everything, scan npc's, recruit them etc.

    There's two things that makes this open world stand out from others, ability to recruit and play as ANY npc in the game and RTX reflection in true open world game. There's some other unique stuff too like flying on drones, instead of usual planes or helicopters. Performance could be better, otherwise it's nice.

    WD 1 is clearly better in a sense that having one main character (even if you can recruit npc's) make you care so much more about the game, that's just harsh truth. But recruiting npc's is fun despite that. Thankfully they bring back Aiden in dlc, so in a way, Legion's main character could also be Aiden, just like first game. Haven't personally had any crashes or deleted saves so far,WD 1 is clearly better in a sense that having one main character (even if you can recruit npc's) make you care so much more about the game, that's just harsh truth.     Nothing special, nothing bad. Average would be right word. Hopefully dlc story makes it more interesting. It doesn't suck tho.

    Pretty fun game with nice graphics. Nothing revolutionary, nothing bad. Performance is hit or miss, hopefully improves with patches. Ignore reviews that give 0's, these are mostly fake accounts who are angry that cyberpunk got delayed into 2025.

    My gripes really stem from the place of being a fan. Anyone entering Watch Dogs: Legion looking for a by the books open world game is going to find a lot to enjoy. There are small puzzles to solve, plenty of collectibles, lots of missions and I would say the shooting and driving are the best this series has ever been. Fans of the series like myself however will be disappointed by the lack of enjoyable characters as well as stand out missions and story beats. With how close Legion is releasing to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising it feels like Watch Dogs: Legion was left to fight for your attention and your money with less money put into development. I would recommend both Watch Dogs 1 & 2 as well as plenty of other Ubisoft experiences from the last few years before Legion at full price.

    Ubisoft have done well with this game but if you get frustrated easily I would maybe wait till this game has had a few more updates first before playing it.

    It’s a convincing facsimile, which makes trying to save it from Albion and its assorted cronies a more compelling task. And Legion’s big gimmick is that you can play as, well, anyone. Construction workers, lawyers, YouTube stars, retired cage fighters, Anarchists, football hooligans. All are served up by Ubisoft’s smart procedurally-generated trick, each with their own look, background and sometimes even voting record.
