    Watch Dogs Legion Review:

    Watch Dogs Legion is an excellent video game in which you can cause havoc in the streets of London by recruiting anybody! That is the best addition to this game, and hats off to Ubisoft for bringing a new combat system rather than using a useless Yo-Yo stick in the previous game Watch Dogs 2.     This game is fantastic. I don't really get all the bad reviews. I really enjoyed the story, with some moments reaching me personally more than most games I've played. The play-as-anyone mechanic was really fun especially because they made so many variations of playable characters. Watchdogs 2 had you play as part of the team. This game lets you play AS the team.     Strikingly underrated, this game offers a compelling vision of a dystopian totalitarian London, and something genuinely new in video game narrative structure - the protagonist is a movement, rather than any particular character, united by an ideal, which shifts and changes over time. Very clever stuff, lots of sandbox shenanigans to enjoy.     Solid game, if it was only for the story and the game it-self it would be maybe an 8 for me, but then the SeriesX upgrade makes it shine up to a 9. Futuristic london just looks awsome with RayTracing and the bump of resolution on SeriesX. Till now, the best RayTracing experience on console, once i've seen what it can bring to the game all other games are lacking.

    Graphics on xbox series s connected to a 4k 120 Hz TV absolutely amazing. London recreation is unbelievable. The "black mirror" story is very good. Acting sometimes a bit lame. I encountered zero glitches.

Впрочем, эта ситуация прекрасно даёт мне лично понять с кем мне не по пути. Ох уж эти мамкины критикули чуть ли не каждый второй посчитал за честь облить грязью последний Watch Dogs и, откровенно говоря, закралось у меня некое беспокойство. Вторая часть мне очень понравилась и для меня выход Легиона это было событие, которого я действительно ждал. И знаете, в итоге я практически получил то чего и хотел. Всем кому нравилась вторая часть обязательно понравится и последняя, я в этом уверен. А те, кто формирует своё мнение на основе дешевых крикунов и выскочек, то просто проходите мимо. Итак всё же что такое теперь этот новый Watch Dogs? Это по-прежнему история про хакерскую ячейку DedSec, но теперь из солнечного Сан-Франциско мы с вами перемещаемся в более знакомый нам Лондон будущего. Знакомый и потому, что уже гоняли по нему в Syndicate, и потому, что по погоде прямо родной Питер. Даааа, дождит тут как полагается и выглядит вся эта стихия, и лужицы на асфальте, и мокрые людишки и прочие поверхности зданий, автомобилей и всего-всего-всего весьма и весьма реалистично. Рейтресинг как он должен быть! А каков этот Лондон ночью в неоновом свете это просто надо видеть. С картинкой Юбисофт как обычно сделали всё выше всяких похвал. Геймплейно в Легионе по сути всё очень близко ко второй части, но лишь отчасти и в базовых функциях. Да мы по прежнему можем нахакать ловушек, поуправлять дистанционно транспортом, взломать дронов, видов которых тут немало (что в общем-то ново), отвлечь неписей, закинув им какую-то мерзость на мобилку или закоротив их гарнитурки, ну и конечно пошмалять по вражинам из огне/электрострелов. На этом параллели заканчиваются. Арсенал хакерского инвентаря значительно претерпел изменения. Теперь в нашем распоряжении имеется несколько видов электромеханических паучков и дронов как для хакерской взлома, видеосъемки так и для ведения боя. Помимо этого имеем возможность маскировки персонажа, наших дронов/паучков и также тел поверженных противников для любителей стелсяночки.… Expand

    Definitely a decent game, but this could be a whole different level of experience if Ubisoft didn't go their traditional way in recent times. Still, I would recommend it.

    What a great game! London is so well re-created, there's so much fun things to do in this game. Hacking is better than ever. Flying on drones makes it even better, because you can go on top of almost any building and just chill around there and look at this incredible scenery. Only negative would be lack of central main character, but this will likely be fixed by DLC where Aiden (mainWhat a great game!     Would very much recommend! It had some fps issues when it launched, but they have updated it so much since then. Online is coming out soon, dlc's as well.

    What cyberpunk should of been. So the game is set in London in the near future and it actually looks like London in the future. Unlike cyberpunk this game is fully open world , you can go up or down pretty much anywhere, very few loading screens, a vast majority of buildings can be entered and explored, combat can be a challenge.     I have had a blast with this game, but it's not without it's flaws. The narrative is weak and the "play as anyone" novelty is not well executed. But, a large open world stealth game is exactly what I was looking for and the sandbox Watch Dogs gives you is really a lot of fun to play in. I certainly understand the criticisms and I think largely they are correct, but it's just that I reallyI have had a blast with this game, but it's not without it's flaws. The narrative is weak and the "play as anyone" novelty is not well executed.     It’s a good game in a great city with a great storyline.

    But the constant crashes every half hour and the poor AI and despawning of things etc is terrible. London needed to be bigger as well.

Once you figure that out the game is amazing, the story and all the main characters are excellent and the city of London while boring at first really started to grow on me, and while I hate the play as anyone feature I love profiling people and recruiting them to Dedsec and having them chime in on conversations during missions it, makes it so I have a connection with these other operator’s even though I never play as them. The combat isn’t great but fist fighting is pretty fun and stealth can be brutal and fun, hacking is also a big part of the game and the use of drones adds a fun new element to combat and stealth. In conclusion Ubisoft failed at making a "play as anyone game" in my eyes simple because there is zero reason to play as anyone but the spy and hitman for the most part, but aside from that this game is probably my favorite in the series and the story and characters alone are worth the money.… Expand

    London looks beautiful, first time ever any video game has modern London. Story is meh, but DLC's are really promising. If you liked Watch_Dogs 1, i would recommend this.

    Watch Dogs Legion was never bad or awful game, in fact, i would like to argue it's better and deeper than watch dogs 2. Watch Dogs 1 will always be best in the series, unless they do something crazy with WD 4, but Legion is solid enough, it just needs tons of polishing and updates, more content. DLC's must deliver.

    However, the TUI patch BROKE the game for 5 days and, honestly, ruined my experience.
    After the fix though and completing the game I've got to say...wow! This game is pretty damn epic. I do have to declare my bias, I've lived in London for 10 years and being able to find my house, drive to work and just see the city SO ACCURATELY depicted is truly    I LOVED this game when it came out.

    I loved creating different tactics & styles based on my operative and game style.

    Honestly, the only reason this isn't a 10 is the early release game bugs!

    Clearly the best Watch Dogs yet. Despite certain flaws which are expected with a newly released title, this game sucks you in right away. The visuals are stunning and the play as anyone mechanic is addicting. A must buy on PC

    This game is solid 7.5, but i have to give it 10 because all these negative reviews who very likely doesn't even have this game. I had enough fun with it, nothing special, but still better than many 2020 games.

    For the love of god, 300 negative reviews and most of them are either 0's or 1's with short comment like "i'm a loser and hate new games without even trying them". I wish metacritic would FORCE people to show if they own a game and how long they have played it, before they can write actual review. JUST LIKE STEAM DOES. WD Legion is nothing special, but it's nowhere as bad as this userscore.

    It's nothing special, but i enjoyed it way more than 2019 Ubisoft games. This idea that some people think it's okay to sht on every new game without even buying it is just bs. Watching some clips from youtube doesn't count. If you haven't played this game at least 5 hours, your review is absolutely meaningless.

    Absolutely no crashes or blue screens after 15 hours of gameplay. Game is solid. But AC Valhalla is (by 2020 standards) absolute masterpiece, so i would rather recommend that one.

    It's fine game, nothing special, nothing bad. At least city and characters are better than in WD2. I don't even care that much, but i'm giving it 10 just to piss off these haters on this site. I can't stand people like these.

    The game is a blast. The different people you can recruit to DedSec is vast and colorful. Just about anyone you pass buy you can bring into your group. The music is sometimes good when your driving. the cars handle well and the motorcycles handle even better. what i find the most fun is the gadgets and hacks like one you get bass knuckles with the ability to shock people you punch.     Wow. It's super fun to just mess around and find someone that has your likeness. There's no character customization like in other games but this one's better. i found someone with my last name and then customized his clothes and such. It's been great! Allows me to feel more connected to the story seeing myself in cutscenes.

    reading some of these comments makes me think like "are these people actually lying?" during my 10 hour game session i haven't had single hardcore bug in this game, zero crashes, I'm not even sure if i have had any minor bugs to be honest. Everything just works lol.

    Ubisoft games are usually from decent to even very good. Good example is Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, this game is amazing. So whoever says that Ubisoft games suck, has absolutely no taste in gaming whatsoever. I don't even wanna know what trash games these people play.    … Expand

I absolutely don't care if real London don't have nature areas, PRETEND IT DOES, IT'S A VIDEO GAME. You can do whatever you want with it. Still i'm not giving up on it just yet, i really wanna see what they do with season pass and if Aiden's story is good enough. If they this right, this might actually be pretty decent hacking/open world game that takes place in London and that's actually (at least to me) very important aspect. I like London. I love it's architecture (yeah i'm history nerd, sue me). NPC recruitment is very unique idea BUT IT NEEDS MORE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT NEEDS MORE. Like i said, i'm still hopeful, would love to fly on cargo drones with Aiden Pearce and play his missions. Could be actually cool. Even tho i kinda trashed it, don't get me wrong, i still like this game. It's miles better than completely empty open world of mafia remake, i don't care if it focuses on story, if you have huge open world, do something with it. Watch_Dogs is at least doing something. And it's overall by any means more fun than Marvel's Avengers, these are not even comparable. I'm not saying these things AT ALL to trash other games, i'm just pointing out facts. I would absolutely love to free roam with Aiden in that city. I guess what i want is actual character focused story. Right now it almost feels like it's work in progress and they should have released Aiden day 1 as post-story content. Like if you finish main story, then you can play with Aiden basically, well they didn't do that and i can live with that, i just hope season pass delivers, i really do. And why am i so optimistic? Because at the same time, there's so much there. This city really looks beautiful, for example you can go on cargo drone and fly on top of almost any building (that isn't too high) and chill around there. Scenery is BEAUTIFUL. You can free roam around on these rooftops, explore them etc. But then i have some criticism against open world design choices, for example i was free roaming and i found this old train in middle of nowhere, Would have been so cool to go inside it and explore it, but you can't because it has no doors. It's not the end of the world, but little things like that could have been so much deeper. You can drive inside trams in WD1 and you can't even go inside old train? Just saying. But overall it's not trash, it's just not. It' might not be anyone's cup of tea and that's completely fine, giving it just zero is pathetic at best. I'll just be honest, driving sucks with mouse and keyboard, it actually felt better in WD1 and they need to fix this, i'm serious. Overall it has tons of potential, underground areas is nice idea as well. There's so much there and there's stuff that i can forgive, like i don't NEED to go inside old trains, it would be just cool, that's all i'm saying. Overall again, it's not trash, it's just not. It just need improvement and for the love of god it needs that season pass more than ever.    … Expand

    First true AAA game that takes place in London. This game is worth experiencing for just that alone. Hacking cars and drones is just bonus.

    Not masterpiece, but compared to tons of other open world games that are actually boring and empty (just cause 3 and 4, mafia remake) there's tons of fun to be had in watch dogs legion.

Assassin's Creed has way larger fanbase (literally millions) than watch dogs, so hopefully Assassin's Creed fans are ready to protect Valhalla when it releases, because this kind of mass downvoting can't happen again. Now about the game, been playing around 20 hours i think. So far it's pretty fine watch dogs entry, i wasn't expecting anything crazy anyway from this, but it's solid 7.5, maybe even 8 for how good London looks.    … Expand

    No idea about base console performance, because i have xbox series x, ps4 pro and high end pc, but on these three it runs well enough and looks stunning (at times).

    I thought this series was dead, apparently i was wrong, it's more alive than ever. Unlike last game's npc's that were blank faces, Legion's city feels alive. RTX reflections look way too realistic, mind blowing how far graphics have come.

    My most anticipated video games of 2020 were Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion. I pre-ordered all of them, so watch dogs legion is first one down. Gotta say, it's not perfect, but i wasn't expecting anything perfect. Overall i think it was just okay. It wasn't awful either. Giving it 10 because bots have review bombed it badly.

I generally tend to like open worlds with darker atmosphere, but second watch dogs had one of the lamest npc's i have seen in any open world game. Legion improves on that aspect a lot.     Seems like this game has been under similar attack as last of us 2 with tons of bots giving 0s.
    This game is much better than last of us 2, that's for sure. It doesn't have amazing story, far from it, but it's not even close to as awful as last of us 2 story, that one was just horrible.
    So far enjoying the game, huge step up from last game.

    This is basically new meta, when bots that gives 0's or 1's claim that others are bots. Pure comedy. It's not 10/10 game, more like 7 or 7.5, but i have to give it 10 to fight back against fake reviews that give 0's. Glad to see Ubisoft back on track.

In gta 5 it has never annoyed me, but in watch dogs 2 it was just way too much.     More of this and less of whatever watch dogs 2 was supposed to be. This one is already huge improvement, can't wait what they do with watch dogs 4. Please another European city. Anything but USA at this point. Usa has been done so many time in different games, there's other places too. Even Australia would be better choice than USA.

    Just made this account to say that after 15 hours i haven't had any major problems. I have heard about save issues, personally haven't had any save issues. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I think Ubisoft tweeted that they patch it on November 9th. I also made this account to fight back against bots who are trying to lower user score.     My gripes really stem from the place of being a fan. Anyone entering Watch Dogs: Legion looking for a by the books open world game is going to find a lot to enjoy. There are small puzzles to solve, plenty of collectibles, lots of missions and I would say the shooting and driving are the best this series has ever been. Fans of the series like myself however will be disappointed by the lack of enjoyable characters as well as stand out missions and story beats. With how close Legion is releasing to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising it feels like Watch Dogs: Legion was left to fight for your attention and your money with less money put into development. I would recommend both Watch Dogs 1 & 2 as well as plenty of other Ubisoft experiences from the last few years before Legion at full price.

    It’s a convincing facsimile, which makes trying to save it from Albion and its assorted cronies a more compelling task. And Legion’s big gimmick is that you can play as, well, anyone. Construction workers, lawyers, YouTube stars, retired cage fighters, Anarchists, football hooligans. All are served up by Ubisoft’s smart procedurally-generated trick, each with their own look, background and sometimes even voting record.
