I like the fundamental mechanics of the game but it's grind is ridiculous. Also a lot of the stuff they have been adding is ridiculous like volumetric shells, balance changes and traction changes. They have made they game so frustrating to play. It just blows my mind that Gaijin doesn't understand if they just make the game less grindy and overall less frustrating more people would stay toI like the fundamental mechanics of the game but it's grind is ridiculous. It just pisses me off that they haven't figured it out yet. Expand

The game is impressive in terms of content and realism and fun, with a lot of historical vehicles to drive from air to the grounds and seas. It’s a good free to play, if you’re willing to spend a lot of time grinding the broad content.

War Thunder arrives at Xbox One X with 4k and the new mouse and keyboard compatibility to make the best War Thunder on consoles yet.

The menu, currency confusion, being outclassed by pay-to-win players and lack of help is very off-putting in the beginning, but it does start to make sense if you can devote the time to learn it and stick with it. It’s not going to be for everyone, and I’d still wager it’s more catered towards the hardcore crowd, or those with disposable income, but War Thunder can be a deep and exciting game in the heat of battle. Once it’s free to play and out of Early Access, there’s no harm in giving it a shot, like your tank cannon.
