The first half of War Tech Fighters is a light, silly ‘blow everything up and look cool’ sort of thing, but the second half is weighed down by developers who apparently felt the need to offer a ‘real challenge’ that wasn’t necessary or welcome.

War Tech fighters has me think Transformers... Think Pacific Rim... From the moment I switched this game on I was enthralled with it. FirstWar Tech fighters has me think Transformers... Think Pacific Rim... From the moment I switched this game on I was enthralled with it. First thing's first, I detailed my mech then I was ready for action. The game is very detailed and very intense overall. Extremely addictive, I have really enjoyed my time with it. There are no faults in the mechanics of the gameplay as they are very well done, this for me is a truly amazing design of a game within this genre. If you love space shooters from all generations you will undoubtedly enjoy this game. The sound effects and music keep the heart pumping and it seems to have a very long game span life too. I'm a little over the half-way through point, and I'm enjoying every moment. The weapons, the armor, the shields, the suit, lots of customizations are on offer, to get you through your mission. This game is definitely a value for the price of admission for all the quality and what the game has to offer. If you are a fan of the genre then you owe it to yourself to add this gem to your Xbox One gaming library. A mission accomplished indeed for Blowfish Studios... Full Review »
