    Ultimately, Wandersong on Xbox One is worth trying at least. The way it constantly switches up its gameplay and tone can be exciting and refreshing, and I wholly appreciate that Wandersong isn't trying to replicate the ideas or style of any other game.

    I have just recently finished Wandersong and I cannot get over how good of a game it is.
    The game takes place in 7 different acts, each in a different place with different characters. Every act is the perfect length, so you get a beautiful breath of fresh air every now and again. The characters are some of the best in any video game I've played, each filled to the brim with personality and backstory. It's just plain fun to run around and talk to people. The gameplay, art style and music is gorgeous. The singing mechanic is used in so many different ways, wether your luring birds or using it as a light, singing is marvelous. No spoilers, but I will tell you that the ending is incredibly satisfying. Deserves a sequel. 10/10    … Expand

    absolutely loved the game! So much game time. Was also just very beautiful, lovely music and sounds in the game.

    The most fitting word to describe this game would be "brilliant". Everything that it contains is new in some sort of way. The graphical style is so pleasing, and the way it can express tone is second to none. The gameplay is innovative in the best way possible, leading to many very interesting set-ups, and it never gets old. The boss fights especially are a highlight. The best part of the game for me personally, however, was the story, which was equal parts heartfelt, hilarious, and beautiful. If I have any gripes that keep it from being a 10/10 for me, it's that it doesn't really pick up until Act 4, but after that, it is an experience that I will not soon forget.… Expand

    Wandersong is a 2D Cutout Side-Scrolling Musical Adventure. You play as a Bard, setting out on an adventure with Music as your weapon! TheWandersong is a 2D Cutout Side-Scrolling Musical Adventure. You play as a Bard, setting out on an adventure with Music as your weapon! The story starts in the Bards dream where he receives a message from the Goddess Aia and learns he isn't any good with a sword. The message is that the world is in danger, and the only way to save it is to sing the Earthsong to the Goddess. You have to adventure around the world to learn the whole song. Upon waking up, the Bard finds his town now haunted by Ghosts, which you defeat with song. Everything you do is controlled by Singing, from conversations to solving puzzles. Mach the tones, and sing your way to victory. Gameplay is mostly straight forward, allowing things to be pretty simple. Though most concepts aren't used more than once, keeping the singing mechanic fairly fresh throughout the game. The amount of Characters, each with their own personality, is staggering. There are so many people to interact with in this world! The game also does an incredible job of conveying the Bard's mood, from the colors of the environments to the Bard's expressions. There is a lot to explore, and the many ways you get to use your singing to advance is amazing! This is a spectacular adventure that breaks the standard conventions of an adventure game, and will make for a great addition to most game collections!… Expand
