Match system = 1-3 low level players vs. 7-11 level 50 players. You have no chance of gaining anything or ever building up weaponry because its just a bunch of douches sniping new players. There are 4 maps total, most of them have next to no loot. The 1 map that has loot is so small you will encounter at least 5 level 50 players each and every time. The matching system needs to be set up FAIRLY based on total KILLS and level. At level 10 I was ALWAYS matched against level 50 players with 2000+ kills and special gear, so I never had a chance. There is no point wasting 10 minutes a round to leave with a bullet in the back and no gear. The game highly encourages camping and griefing, and is heavily stacked against all new players (they have no way to make new guns) because plans are IMPOSSIBLE to get. Based on what I've seen so far, the game will die from lack of new players within a year or two at most, and it will deserve it.

Hidden gem. Very underrated. Not for people who can't handle being at a disadvantage as a new player. It has some flaws of course but I haven't had a game keep me playing as long as Vigor has in a long time and it's free to play so it deserves a 10. $10 and a little planning and you can easily get every season/legacy season.

Vigor at it's best is a survival shooter with tense moments of panic that leave you smiling after the fact.
Or it can be a buggy mess where every moment is stressful and leaves you wishing you were playing something else.
(Vigor is a FREE game in the XB1 store however this does not dissolve the criticism for it.) You're one of many survivors living out in an apocalyptic(?) Norway.
Vigor at it's best is a survival shooter with tense moments of panic that leave you smiling after the fact.
Or it can be a buggy mess where every moment is stressful and leaves you wishing you were playing something else.

(Vigor is a FREE game in the XB1 store however this does not dissolve the criticism for it.)

You're one of many survivors living out in an apocalyptic(?) Norway. The game does a good job of pulling you into that, mixing gameplay choices with design choices to make a convincing survival experience. Just from how your house is separated from the rest of the population is one cool choice, the maps pushing you away with nuclear radiation, losing all your loot on death, trading and donating to other survivors all pull you in.

    The gameplay:
The gameplay is simplistically fun, although I doubt it's long term use. You join one of 6 current maps, then when you're in that map you are dropped randomly onto one of 8 points, in which your job is to scavenge materials to upgrade your base while 8-12 players also compete to do the same
The maps are big, big enough to the point where I have gone multiple games in a row without ever encountering a single person. Which is kind of cool? I am a big fan of this battle-royale ensure games, especially ones that are slower and bigger. While I feel slightly annoyed I have yet to shoot anyone in 5 games I understand that's how the game can work, even if I am actively searching for someone.
The shooting in this game is weird. And I don't mean just battlefield specific where they did it well.
The shooting is an utter ass, but whether or not that's because the game is buggy as hell, or it's meant to be that way is unknown, although it feels intentional. It feels like one of those heavily realistic games, aiming in the first person and third is unreliable which can be really frustrating, As I've my crosshair over someone ten feet away and I miss all shots before they can turn and shoot me or just run-away. Which is another issue, spring is so fast and so inconsequential and the shooting so inaccurate and unreliable if you're being shot at, just run around you're guaranteed to get away and live. The only ways you can REALLY die in this game is either:
    - Getting snuck up on
    - Engaging in a firefight
    - Accidental Suicide
    - The nuclear wave (Which is like a battle royale safe zone. Just more dangerous as it will sweep across the map instead of creating a smaller zone from the outside in.
You will likely never be killed from running away from someone unless you get trapped and they get lucky. This game is in beta and definitely needs to tweak it. It feels like never shooting and never taking guns with you can be the best option. As when you die in the "Outlands" (the multiplayer maps) whatever you had on, you lose it all unless you have insurance which is costly.
But the bugs hold this game back, so many laggy and server connection issues, doors and cupboards not working properly, Gltiched moving really dampens this game, making it that more frustrating when you die to lag. Which has always been a thing in FPS games, but this makes it worse.

You can also shoot in 1st/3rd person but not move in 1st person which is really disappointing for me, as I love to experience a large map in 1st person it is more immersive and exciting that way.

Finally, it's free to play the game, so yes there are microtransactions although this is probably one of the best ways it's been handled. You can buy "Crowns" or you can generate them through a windmill on your little piece of Norway. The crowns never do anything besides cosmetics and upgrading the loot for everyone in the game. The only thing is the insurance, but no-one is paying real money for the insurance, it isn't worth the money since you can build weapons
The game is fun in its state, but the bugs, building times, and hard to hit requirements for upgrading your house in it's mid to late levels made me play this game for hours for the first few days, but now I barely touch it. But there is hope this game will continue to grow and is definitely worth the try.

my favorite free to play with a wonderful aesthetic. The shooting is a little imperfect but it is satisfying to go back to the shelter with everything you have taken and maybe some kills. Much better than hunt showdown which is boring after a while.

Not finnished and it feels like fortnite but with real guns and slower. At least Fortnite did a good job on animations. This crap feels like a game developed in 2010. Too basic and stiff gameplay.

A great shoot-loot-survive kind of experience, taking the best portions from DayZ, PUBG and EFT, without having any major flaws of these three games. Simple to pick up and play, hard to master. Every single encounter is a story filled with adrenaline, fury and sometimes terror. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes a good multiplayer shooter and survival games.

So another update will drop and fix the problem until you realize there’s 3 other problems that started because the update. There’s also some issues with shooting, it’s so “realistic” the fact that it’s a video game makes it not at all. Enjoying the game, the looting and encounters with other players are very enjoyable, the maps are also well designed and playing with friends is lots of fun. in short.
visually it is exceptional. one of the most beautifull games i have ever played
gameplay is hard, punishing, now sort of fixed, and also very pointless. you are playing towards nothing and even though your loadout disapears when you die, there are few loadouts that you could not regain in 1-2 rounds of looting.
the microtransactions are some of the most annoying ones i have ever seen in any game.

sometimes i install it to look at it, but then i uninstall it again because i dont want to play it.

this game had an ambitious start and then did nothing with it.

5/10 i love it, dont play it, and dont buy anything so that you dont encourage bohemia to think
that they should do this with any of their other games too.

Vigor is clunky and brutal. There is no satisfying single-player to fall back on, so every game session feels like a strain. It’s a shame because the ideas are sound, and it could be great, but the poor mechanics torpedo any competitive urge you have going into it. Vigor’s gunplay needs to improve drastically before it can start to accrue a real audience of passionate players.

There is no fun in waiting six hours to have the opportunity to produce a weapon which, however, will require a project and materials; there is no greater nervousness than being killed to get a poor gun removed and there is nothing more tedious than an obsolete and redundant system of microtransactions.

Vigor is a looter-shooter experience that presents a strong form in its post-looting part, but when it comes to action moments, the game lacks required challenge due to its unbalanced design. Vigor will worth playing if the developer attempts to add more new content to the game.
