    In 2015 when at E3 something really caught my eye and that something was Unravel. It had a uniqueness about it that was quite profound and it was a game that I followed quite closely until its release. When it did release to say I had a very enjoyable time with the game would be a massive understatement and it ended up being one of my favourite games of 2016. I enjoyed it so much that I was really hoping for a sequel and that wish was granted with the surprise release of Unravel Two at this year’s E3. Sequels aren’t often as good as the original game but this is different with Unravel Two because in some ways it’s better than the first game. Unravel Two has thrown a unique idea into the mix over the original and that is co-op. When played with a friend this game is absolutely flawless but don’t let that stop you playing on your own because it still delivers a lot of enjoyment when playing the game this way. Once again you will see a lot of platforming elements and puzzles included like the original and in a way these aspects are better this time around. The puzzles have more creativity in this game in my opinion and when you complete them with a friend you get a very satisfying feeling. Platforming in this game is absolutely flawless and on the whole the technical side of the game holds up extremely well throughout your time with the game. Thankfully the controls that have been implemented also hold up extremely well throughout as well and everything remained fluid and responsive at all times and not once did I come across any problems. One thing that really surprised me about Unravel Two was the amount of content it has. I wasn’t expecting there to be this much content avaliable and to say this game will keep you satisfied for quite a few hours would be quite the understatement. Despite the huge amount of content available I still would’ve liked to have had a little more content when it came to the game’s story though, but this is only a minor gripe and in fact this is my only gripe full stop which shows just how good the game is. Without a doubt one of my favourite things about the first game was its presentation and I’m pleased to say it’s also one of my most favourite things about this game as well. Visually the game looks absolutely stunning and when you combine the visuals with the fantastic sound design you end up having a very immersive experience. At the end of the day as far as sequels are concerned Unravel Two is definitely up there with some of the best sequels of all time. It’s took what was good from the first game and improved it quite considerably and to say this game gets a big thumbs up from me would be a massive understatement.… Expand

    Unravel Two is a 4 hour long puzzle platformer that can be played both single player as well as co op… Either way here youll be controlling two characters.. characters than can be customized and if youre playing solo you can pick the other character up and carry them with you so it isn’t an annoying switching back and forth inching towards level    Unravel Two

    you use these characters as support for eachother to overcome every obstacle thrown at you..
    of course theres a warm message here.. this is an unravel game..
    I feel though that Unravel Two is much less warm than the first game
    there is no sweet old lady here to put pictures in a scrap book and make you cry, this time you’re following two teens through their journey together..
    The first game to me felt like a heart warming passion project where every level was stitched together by hand… Unravel Two on the other hand felt more like just a game.. though that’s not to say its without charm, it has its charm.. it just has a lot to live up to considering the first unravel is my favorite puzzle platforming game of all time
    This game consists of 7 chapters as well as 20 optional challenge levels where your goal is to rescue a yarn friend…
    The 7 chapters here to me felt a little too samey..
    the first game every level was memorable ,it was alive and different..
    here ill probably remember nothing but the turkey sequence..
    theres much less bringing the background and world to life here which is disappointing…
    its not fair to critique as this isn’t something I would notice if it didn’t have the name unravel attached to it, but since it does it is noticed…
    you still get the same colorful levels here.. but the style and feel of these levels never change…
    the puzzle solving here is also dumbed down making this feel mire like a momentum based game than a stop and think game it is a bunch of using each other to swing to locations, hold items so the other can jump, and distracting…
    its best if you think of this game less as an unravel sequel and more of a co op game set in the unravel world…
    it just doesn’t live up to the first game but as a stand alone title that has nothing to do with the first game story wise.. there is tons of charm here, there is care put into the animations, there are a couple of puzzle that stumped me for a couple seconds, though there is an optional hint system here…
    there are collectables here as well but again back to momentum, the levels aren’t really designed this time to explore like they were in the first game, so youll spot a lot of them as you run through naturally.
    The music is beautiful and this game still brings its levels to life better than any other game out there not including the first unravel of course…
    these levels are living and breathing.. they feel real… you feel like youre a little yarn person running through the forest or through a factory…
    Theres an insane amount of care and polish here.. there there is an annoying invisible wall thing going on during a platforming section that’s just infuriating.. I had to use the games slow mo mechanic to get past it…
    I really want to see this series continue so I hope unravel two does well…
    if we do get an unravel 3 I hope it goes back to the solo play of the first game where you had to actually manage the yarn and be more clever…
    this was a nice pallet cleanser but give me the real thing again

    This game is kind of let down compared to previous one. First Unravel felt more personal and had better atmosphere and also story was better told. Now I have no clue what is happening in the background. Unravel Two is made more for co-op play and I don't like that because it made some puzzles so unnecessary hard when you play alone.     I finished it with my 8 year old daughter and we had a great time.
    It looks and moves great, the puzzles are simple and the ending felt good too.

    The two player mode is very fun. Some puzzles are hard but I liked it and the graphics look good.

    This is an interesting sequel, less frustrating, somewhat more dynamic than the first and with quite a different gameplay. The artistic direction is quite the same (and that's a good point), beautiful and fitting music, good sound design. The story is quickly finished but the 100% achievements will ask a lot of you.     After top unravel, part 2 is simply normal. Kindly atmosphere, good music, beautiful scene, but story line is not complete for me

    Beautiful Couch Coop Jump amd Run, wich isn't too hard but also not too easy. The message of the game is surprisingly deep and I reall recommend playing it! The only reason it's not worth 10 is, that is was too short. I enjoyed the game that much it was over way too fast. Great masterpiece of a small young and progressive studio

Вторая часть в плане геймплея отчасти продолжает линию предшественника. Касается это прежде всего базовых механик и процесса совмещенияUnravel, который первый, был игрой просто какой-то волшебной, по-домашнему уютной с трогательным интересным сюжетом, прекрасной музыкой, и в общем и целом это был какой-то островок безмятежности и комфорта в наполненном жестокостью и насилием игровом мире. Вторая часть в плане геймплея отчасти продолжает линию предшественника. Касается это прежде всего базовых механик и процесса совмещения двухмерного платформинга и сопутствующего решения головоломок. Главное нововведение второй части это возможность кооперативного локального прохождения вдвоем на одном экране. В Unravel Two у нас два Ярни красный стандартный и синий, связанные одной нитью. Теперь ограничение движения нашего персонажа зависит только от того как далеко умотал наш напарник, контрольные точки с мотками пряжи остались в прошлом. Решение задачек, командное взаимодействие за счет той самой единой нити, с помощью которой мы можем раскачать нашего напарника и закинуть на нужный уступ, а тот в свою очередь подтянет нас на него, синхронизация действий в стремительных проходах, где нас кто-либо преследует с враждебными намерениями, или давит цейтнот в виду наступающей стихии, если кто-то отстал, то пиши пропало — это вот всё для нас с женой было ново и действительно увлекательно и весело. Безмолвная сюжетная линия, как ранее было и в первой части, в Unravel Two не настолько очевидна и ясна и точно не пробирает до мурашек. Я вообще пока не прочитал описание игры так особо и не допер о чем собственно история. Дети, которые убегают от коварных взрослых на протяжении всего действия игры, как по мне весьма слабовато. Помимо основных событий в игре с относительно продолжительными насыщенными уровнями с умеренной сложностью, не обременяющей мозг сверхнагрузками а пятую точку повышенным огненным выхлопом, имеются так называемые бонусные побочки. Эти самые дополнительные локации, в которых мы спасаем шерстяных собратьев Ярни, как правило ограничиваются одним экраном, и вот уж совсем не ставят себе жестких рамок по шкале подрывы пердачно-седельного нерва. Дело здесь не столько в задачках, которые в них попадаются ну может быть чуть посложнее чем в основе, сколько в уровне сложности/адекватности именно в плане физики происходящего. Некоторые из этих бонусных спасательных операций даже не понятно как проходить, взять к примеру тот же Tiled, который мы часами пытались осилить вдвоем, а когда выяснили как это надо было делать только с помощью Ютуба, то посетило ощущение легкого недоумения ибо ну как бы перебор. Прошли… через боль и страдания и не без доли везения, но, уважаемым господа из Coldwood Interactive, так нельзя..… Expand

It is a short adventure, it is one of the most fun you can have with a friend for couch co-op session. Again, it is much, much more enjoyable in co-op. The controls work well, however they could be tighter, especially when compared to other genre-best platformers such as Celeste or Hollow Knight for example. There are many creative physics-related co-op climbing and swinging mechanics that are a joy to figure out and employ as you traverse the levels and explore the puzzles of Yarny's woodland world. I highly recommend this short and sweet adventure.… Expand

    I never leave reviews but I had to leave the highest score possible to shoot the rating up as much as possible. Such a great casual physics based puzzle game. Nothing too complex to solve yet satisfying to solve the little puzzles they do have.

    Świetna gra kooperacyjna, jak w każdej z tych sytuacji grałem w nią z Żoną. Dała nam dużo radości i zmusiła czasem do myślenia jak przejść kolejny element.

    Графика: 10,0. Невероятно красиво нарисовано. Иногда хочется остановиться и просто рассматривать окружающий фон.
    Звук: 7,0. Ничего особо запоминающегося.
    Сюжет: 6,0. К сожалению, никакой понятной истории нам не дают, так что приходится только догадываться об идее повествования. Да, есть дети, которые шалят, прячутся от взрослых и клубочки помогают им выпутаться из всяких бед, но в то же время существует маяк и фотографии в нем. Как говорится, очень интересно, но ничего непонятно. Это, пожалуй, главная претензия к игре.
    Сеттинг: 7,0. Достаточно разнообразные уровни.
    Управление и интерфейс: 8,0. При игре вдвоем проблем не должно быть, а вот в одиночку двумя персонажами управлять не очень удобно. Все на английском языке, но элементарных знаний достаточно.

    One of my favorites. I've re-played this with my daughter at least 10 times by now.
    The co-op aspect and problem solving are so well thought out.

    A wonderful cooperative game to play with my son. Just about the right level of difficulty. Easy and natural way to help him in difficult areas - just hop on me, son. An exceptional experience!

    With beautiful graphics, a charming and emotive set of main characters, an amazing soundtrack, and wonderful gameplay Unravel Two is one of my favorite games to come out so far in 2018. I think the audience that can enjoy this is almost anyone because there is a fantastic main game for players but those who are not challenged as much as they want to be can find more difficult, optional puzzles. Yarny is still adorable too. This game just radiates joy, and in comparison to similar games like INSIDE, is just made for everyone.
