Mar 17, 2015Overall, Unmechanical Extended is a lovely way to spend a few hours lost in a silent world taxing those brain cells with an adorable main character too.
-
Feb 2, 2015It's still as clever and fun as the original, and the extra chapter makes it feel a little bit longer. If you're looking for a short but intense experience, Unemchanical won't disappoint you.
-
Feb 1, 2015It respects both the genre and your time, and for that — along with plenty of other reasons — there's quite a satisfying experience to be had.
-
Feb 9, 2015Three years have passed since the PC release, but the game still holds on its good qualities. The simulation is believable, and the puzzles still fun to solve.
-
Feb 1, 2015Atmospheric, simple and very enjoyable, Unmechanical: Extended successfully delivers a solid, intriguing puzzle adventure experience.
-
Mar 22, 2015Unmechanical Extended is just as short and sweet as the original; a gentle yet compelling use of four hours that's best enjoyed in a single sitting.

Official Xbox Magazine UKMar 4, 2015Convoluted levels can lead to tiring exploration. [March 2015, p.82]
-
Feb 1, 2015The complete lack of context and non-existent story give you nothing to latch on to. The variety of puzzles found in the game don’t have much replay value, and even on the first go round, the more ambitious ones can certainly frustrate.
-
Jan 30, 2015A puzzling game, in every sense of the word. In that manner there are puzzles, each of which must be surmounted before you can progress, but equally its lack of any true storytelling, beyond that which you create yourself, or indeed any hand-holding to point you in the right direction almost cause too much confusion.
-
Mar 12, 2015The puzzles needed to be more creative and challenging, a bit of a help navigating would have been nice, and I could have done without the timing-based puzzles with the sloppy controls.
-
X-ONE Magazine UKApr 6, 2015There are some inventive puzzles, but don't expect anything revolutionary. [Issue#122, p.84]
-
Feb 2, 2015This is a slight, simple, often delightful game that displays moment-to-moment ingenuity but which now obviously lacks a broader conceit to bring its ideas together.
-
games(TM)Apr 12, 2015Nice enough, but not exactly groundbreaking. [Issue#159, p.110]
-
Feb 1, 2015Despite featuring some creative brainteasers, Unmechanical: Extended is hampered by its lack of meaningful plot, little replay value and unfortunately brisk length.
