    Overhead racing fanatics will find a lot to love about Ultimate Racing 2D but don't expect anything revolutionary.

    Well priced, full of content and even delivering a local multiplayer option, you won’t be wowed by what this brings to the motorsport scene, but it’s worth a look if you’ve exhausted all other racing options.

    The title – Ultimate Racing 2D – sadly belies the actual experience on offer here. While there’s an impressive number of vehicles and tracks, the actual racing part feels flat, uninspiring and, quite frankly, boring. Multiplayer could be good for a laugh, but even that will wear thin before long. Racing fans may be able to eke out some more enjoyment, but for others just looking for a fun little run around you’re best off steering clear of this title.

Top-Down racing hasn't seen many real entries in a long time, but Ultimate Racine 2D is serious. Coming in with 45 killer tracks to race on with 35 driving classes, this title delivers. The career mode takes you from Kart racing to piloting Formula-1 cars! Press your talents in the Championship mode. Invite your friends over for up to 8 players in Local Live play and create your own Championship! The game handling is prefixed, and takes a little getting used to. Once you've got a good feel for the controls you'll be careening the corners like a boss. Sadly I couldn't find a way to drift, that alone could add an entirely new element to the gameolay. Sadly the game doesn't have an online element, adding a slew more racers could make the game even more intense, and offer greater replay value. Overall the game is incredibly smooth and offers a satisfying Top-Down Racing experience. If you a really a fan of the Top-Down style racing, then Ultimate Racing 2D should live up to its name for you!… Expand
