Jun 28, 2016Quite simply put, it is relaxing, stunningly beautiful, and upbeat when the need arises.
-
Jun 7, 2016TurnOn is an awesome 3D puzzle platformer that uses a variety of new systems to make the game not only fun but different from other games in its genre.
-
Jun 6, 2016It’s cathartic, relaxing, and at times truly challenging, but most of all, it manages to capture your attention and remains enjoyable from start to finish.
-
Jun 19, 2016From the originality of the story, to the illustrative comic book panel scenes and exceptional graphics, Turn On is a fantastic casual platformer guaranteed to help pass a few hours of your day with a smile on your face.
-
Jun 12, 2016TurnOn delivers an artistically fascinating world, with nice gameplay mechanics in an highly detailed and full of life city. Its main downside is the overly easy gameplay, lacking any real challenge.
-
Jul 13, 2016TurnOn is a peculiar game, as on one hand I really enjoyed the majority of it with its slow paced exploration and quirky gameplay. On the other hand, the on-rails levels seriously tarnish the experience as a whole with poor controls and instant fails. That being said, the game is still a charming little title that is simplistic in nature, colorful, and a great way to earn some easy achievements.
-
Jun 15, 2016Turn On is a delightful and relaxing platformer with a few difficulty spikes to keep you on your toes. A joy to play, for the most part, but some glitches and dull levels later in the game hold it back from greatness.
-
Jun 6, 2016TurnOn is a simple and rustique game which forces us to slow down and look at differently at our world. A pity the game at the same time forces fast-paced levels and contains some bugs and glitches. Serenity will be found, even though briefly.
-
Jun 1, 2016Brainy Studio has created a platform with a good dose of originality and experimentation, with bits of adventure and rhythm game mechanics. A good formula that manages to capture the player’s attention, but it’s however, weakened by the lack of challenge and a series of tedious and quite frustrating musical levels. Anyway, TurnOn proves to be a pleasant, bizarre and curious gaming experience.
-
Jun 1, 2016With its laid-back approach to platforming, and excellent use of color and sound, you'd be hard pressed to find a game as charming and endearing as TurnOn.
-
Jun 7, 2016Small flaws only minorly detract from an otherwise uplifting and enjoyable game. While TurnOn is a game about restoring power, it also leaves us with the feeling that just once in a while, we should probably turn (everything) off, too.
-
Jun 3, 2016Most video games have a singular purpose of entertaining players. Whilst there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, every so often a game comes along that strives to do that little bit more, bringing with it a political message or a life lesson to be learned. The Worldwide Fund for Nature Earth Hour-inspired TurnOn, the first console release from newcomers Brainy Studio, is one such example.
-
Jun 2, 2016Oozing charm and potential, this really is a great example of what a small development team can achieve and Brainy Studio's pride in their creation is alluded to throughout the game. It's undeniable that TurnOn does a lot of things right, which makes it sadly all the more noticeable when something doesn't quite hit the mark.
-
Jun 16, 2016TurnOn is a simple game, which is both a blessing and a detriment. The frustrating parts really drag down the overall experience, and the core game itself just isn’t that interesting. Sometimes simplicity is not the answer.
-
Jun 1, 2016The majority of its levels are slow-paced and exploration-based, and there's something surprisingly cathartic about gradually lighting up the entirety of an area. It's just too bad that Brainy Studio wasn't comfortable enough to stick to TurnOn's strengths and had to turn to alternative sources for its energy.
-
Jun 8, 2016TurnOn is a cheerful first attempt with honest intentions, but -as is the case with almost every first attempt- it needed more work to fully expand its gameplay ideas.
