    Truck Racing Championship may not be the most polished or impressive race sim out there, but it’s meant for a specific audience, one that I believe will appreciate the authenticity to the ETRC sport and trucks themselves. It’s a different racing experience than I’m used to, but it definitely piqued my interest in the actual sport, something I had never heard of or paid any attention to until playing Truck Racing Championship, even if the game itself wasn’t terribly robust.

    FIA European Truck Racing Championship surprised us with good gameplay, great tracks and a good and balanced gameplay; it feels like we're really driving these beast cars, with all their mass. It disappointment in driving wheel management, sound design and overall graphics, but it's definitely a game to try for lovers of racing games.

    Bigben Interactive have done a fantastic job of bringing the sport to the console experience. The competitive feel is certainly there, and the unique handling seems to have been particularly well crafted.

    The penalty system, plus the capricious AI is quickly frustrating but FIA European Truck Racing Championship has many qualities that may speak to the racing truck fans.

Pit off against the top Big Rig Racers in the world, on renowned tracks from all over Europe, including F-1 Circuits! Imagine driving a 5 Ton Semi Truck, now take off the Trailer, and race it! Controlling one of these trucks feels heavy, you can feel the heft of the truck the entire experience. Getting one of these beasts rolling is one thing, the power needed to haul the massive loads they pull is obvious once unrestrained. Spinning your tires out from under yourself is an easy task, braking is a MUST. Stopping one of theses rigs is another story, the force it takes to slow down, much less stop takes a huge toll on the brakes, and you manually have to spray water on them to keep them from burning up. I never ran out of water for my brakes, I couldn't imagine making a hairpin turn, with them not acting properly. The game is beautifully rendered, and you can feel the speed when you get moving. The Tutorial is intense, but so is racing a big rig, it took me well over an hour to complete, as each lesson felt like a challenge stage more than a tutorial. Then not knowing that I simply leave leave a practice run to go ahead, I ran laps for an hour, then decided to quit, allowing me to progress. My own mistakes aside, it was relieving to see the handling issues affected the AI just as much as it did me, as they would go careening off the track during a race, I watched the leader lose 5 places spinning out in a hairpin. A must for fans of the sport, or if you just Love to race, but remember, BRAKES!… Expand

Which is why I'm just giving it a middle of the road score. with that being said, I personally didn't enjoy the game at all, and find the $60 price tag absurd. It's currently free to download for Xbox gold players, so that's the only reason I gave it a try.… Expand

    Les routiers sont sympas… et même qu’ils font la course avec leurs bahuts entre midi et deux ! mais le problème, c’est que les camionsLes routiers sont sympas… et même qu’ils font la course avec leurs bahuts entre midi et deux ! mais le problème, c’est que les camions boivent… et ne tiennent pas la route. Ou plutôt qu’ils tiennent toute la putain de route, enfin, je veux dire la putain de piste. Dès qu’on tourne un peu le volant, ces gros culs se barrent en couilles.

    Certes, le jeu se veut « réaliste » mais tout de même, ils sont bourrés ces cons de camions, je vous jure ! il faut les faire souffler. Ils ont au moins plusieurs kilogrammes dans le cornet, moi je dis !

    Et le pire, c’est qu’il faut passer le putain de permis qui compte 15 épreuves avant d’accéder à la carrière, sinon bon bah, pas de carrière. Un putain de permis comme dans les GTrons sur les plaiestassions, non mais où va le monde, non mais allo quoi… Déjà que le bahut a bu mais en plus, il faut refroidir les freins ! et quoi d’autre mon gros père ?

    De toute façon, en plus de se révéler injouable, le jeu est assez vilain et les effets sonores sont plutôt ratés mais surtout, ces dévelopeurs torchés responsables de ce « truc », ce Truck doivent tous passer en cellule de dégrisement. Avec leurs potes les routiers (ils sont sympas). Surtout au prix où c’est vendu, cette daube (59,99 euros, prix TTC conseillé !).    … Expand
