    Train Sim World Founders Edition is an impressively deep and detailed train simulator that is as fun to master as it is beautiful to look at and listen to. Though it faces some performance hiccups, the excellent gameplay ultimately makes it more than worth your time.

    Train Sim World: Founders Edition is actually quite addictive and it’s fascinating to be given a glimpse into the life of a train driver. I would have liked to have seen more scenarios and tracks, perhaps taking in the whole of the UK, but downloadable content is a thing so maybe that is coming further down the line.

    Train Sim World provides a satisfying and realistic train sim experience for the console audience, but it fails to satisfy on the technical side with poor and dated graphics. It looks a bit shot on the contents side too, so there's great margin for improvement with DLCs and patches.

    So, does Train Sim World: Founders Edition pull into the station of awesomeness or does it derail in spectacular fashion? A little of both actually, but one thing is for sure, and that is the question: Should you buy this at $29.99? Unfortunately I don't think so. That being said, this game has a distinct audience and it will find a few fans, but those that aren't into this kind of genre might just want to take the bus, instead of the train.

Its a great start of the train sim genre on xbox and i can only wait and see what more dovetail can produce! For the starting price of £25 it has enough content for easy enough 24hrs after learning (i started as a noob) and developing your train skills. Just be aware on purchase that is inst a finished game and there will be issues but overall Great Game and a Great Buy.… Expand

    Simulation games are games that allow you to do things the way you want to do them and by doing this it means games of this ilk have a hugeSimulation games are games that allow you to do things the way you want to do them and by doing this it means games of this ilk have a huge amount of replayability, and that’s exactly the case when it comes to Train Sim World: Founder’s Edition. The attention to detail is off the charts in this game and at times you actually think your driving a real train because they’ve made the gameplay very realistic. You can literally control everything that’s on the train and this means you end up having a very immersive experience. You will find though that it takes a lot to get used to and even after you’ve took part in the very detailed tutorials you will still come across some frustrating moments. The game allows you to have a decent amount of freedom and I was very pleased to be able to explore on foot and it was nice looking at other trains as I went along. Speaking about trains the game delivers a detailed account on each train and I must admit that I found this aspect of the game to be very interesting and the best thing is that I learnt some things as well. In terms of content the game has more than enough to keep you satisfied and in a way it’s a game that can be played over and over again so the replay value is very high meaning you will get your money’s worth in no time at all. I will warn you though that this game is definitely niche and not everybody will enjoy it and after a while it does start to become a little boring, but that didn’t stop me from returning to it again. The presentation side of the game has had quite a bit of effort sunk into it and that adds even further to the immersion levels. Visually the game is nothing special but it does more than enough to keep you satisfied. The sound design is definitely where the most effort has gone in and the trains sound very realistic making it a pleasure to drive them. At the end of the day as far as the simulation genre goes this is one of the best games I’ve played in recent years and in a way I can see this game bringing more fans to the genre. It may be a little difficult at times, but once you get the hang of it the amount of enjoyment is pretty much endless, which is great. If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to drive a train then this is an absolute must buy and fans of simulation games will absolutely adore this new addition to the genre.… Expand
